Stepbrother #2

Untouchable

Rate this book
Book two in the HOT new stepbrother series by Bestselling Author Danielle Jamie
*ages 18+ due to adult content and language*

If you loved Forbidden you're going to love the follow up novella Untouchable!

Untouchable.

That’s what Raven was, and what she should’ve stayed.

Instead, I made a catastrophic mistake. I jumped into bed with my now future stepsister. To make matters worse, I discovered that she slept with me solely because of a bet.

I should hate her. Part of me does. But another part of me wants her more than I’ve wanted anyone--ever.

Now she's back in town. Everything I feel...Anger. Lust. Desire...it's all coming to the surface at full force.

I keep telling myself she’s untouchable. But that’s easier said than done when I have the devil on my shoulder telling me to forget about everything and everyone, and take what I want.

I’m the sex God of San Francisco. I get who I want...whenever I want them. No matter the consequences.

"I don’t need a cock-blocking bitch fucking with my life, just because she’s pissed off I fucked her once and moved on. Sorry to break it to ya, but that’s the way I’m hardwired, Spitfire. I fuck and move on. That ain’t ever gonna change...she needs to know what she pulled tonight is unacceptable. Now, thanks to her, I have to go jerk off in the shower to relieve the throbbing in my balls."

Oh yeah, this H is a real peach of a guy. Who in their right mind can possibly moon over this asshole.

He makes this lovely statement the day AFTER he's screwed the h, but the next day he's screwing another woman, and he's angry at the h for interrupting his banging the other female?" Yuck. Filthy pig.

This asswipe hypocrite has the nerve to be angry because of a HARMLESS bet to get him into bed, he rages over this trivial thing, and yet he conveniently forgets the DISGUSTING thing he did of SCREWING another chick in the room near the h, AFTER he has sex with the h. Really moron? What YOU did was the betrayal and repulsive action NOT what she did (which she didn't even mean or want but felt so HURT over YOU SCREWING ANOTHER WOMAN IN THE NEXT ROOM that she threw that in your face, arsehole)!.

Who are these readers who actually condone his behaviour and feel he is in anyway justified to have ANY anger after what HE DID! Pisses me right off!!!

And what else REALLY PISSES ME OFF is when she takes all the blaim for their disconnect. Excusing him for SCREWING ANOTHER WOMAN THE DAY AFTER HE SLEPT WITH HER. He's a shallow RUTTING pig. So where is this "great connection" between them when he not only screws another woman the next night but for those next 3 Months sleeps with everything in sight. Really? What a damn loser!!!!

Whoever thinks it's romantic for some loser to screw around on the h has some serious issues. I'm sick of reading the same old excuse for these losers to justify their screwing around because they had feelings for the h. Yeah, he deserves to be kicked (you know where) and then kicked to the curb.

Hell, have some self respect woman!!!!!

Stepbrother Danielle jamie
Forbidden and Untouchable by Danielle Jamie (The Stepbrother Series)
New Adult Novellas that do not stand alone.
Forbidden by Danielle Jamie  is my first stepbrother book. The whole stepbrother theme seems so overdone that I never got interested. But I wanted to read Danielle Jamie. I have heard so many great things about her work that when I saw this series on audible, I jumped on it.

The first two, Forbidden and Untouchable , that I am reviewing here, are novellas, and they pretty much leave you hanging at the end, but not too bad. It leaves off in a good spot. The third book, Rapture , is a full length novel that I hear is amazing but a total tearjerker. It isn't out in audio yet, so I have only heard the first two.

Raven is on Spring Break. All of her friends, including her boyfriend, went to Cabo, but her mom called her home, prompting her boyfriend to break up with her. Her mom has been dating Linc's dad for a while, but Raven is really hoping her mom didn't call her home to tell her they were moving in together. Because she really can't stand Linc, despite how gorgeous he is.

So her mom, who made her come home, decides to tell her they are getting married, and then leaves to go away, leaving her to spend the week at home with Linc. Linc's nickname is 'Forbidden' among her friends because you know she can't go there, but a drunken bet is made, and well....one thing leads to another. Just once.

And it's HOT.
"I can't believe we're doing this,"
"Believe it, Spitfire. If you can't believe it, I'll make sure you effing feel it."

Turns out, Linc, despite his playboy ways, is a pretty good guy (except for one scene that really, really pissed me off). As much as Raven didn't want to, she sees it too.

My feelings about Forbidden are kind of torn. The characters are very immature, even less than their ages. They are spoiled little rich kids and the parents are assholes for leaving them after making her come home. The female narrator was OK, but just OK. The inner monologue was annoying. But I also needed to know what happens, I was invested enough, so I grabbed book two immediately. (I was not aware this was a cliffhanger series :(  )

Untouchable is from Linc's POV, and begins 3 months later. The couple have not seen or spoken to each other in 3 months. Unfortunately for me, the narrator really ruined this for me. While he had a decent voice, he couldn't read. He pronounced words wrong, accentuated the wrong parts of sentences, and read parts as if there were periods instead of commas.

But I liked this story a little more. I liked the emotional connection that developed.

But quite honestly, the fact that Linc was mad for three months over a silly thing kind of pissed me off, because I thought what he did was WAY FUCKING worse and honestly pretty unforgivable, but there was no denying the spark between the two.

They were there for the wedding. It was official. And they fought the feelings that neither could deny. But it was a losing battle.
"I'm going to fuck you bare. My first and my last fuck without any barriers. I need to feel you baby, all of you as you come on my cock...I may not be able to have you after tonight, but you and I will both remember this night, and remember giving ourselves fully to one another."

There was plenty of heat in this one, but it was also pretty heartbreaking that they couldn't be together.
“Sometimes loving each other isn't enough”

Likes:

•Danielle Jamie knows how to write a compelling story that makes you need to know what happens next.
•Hot sex.
•Some funny lines.
•You were able to feel the characters falling in love.

Dislikes:

•The audiobook narrators. The first one (Raven) was OK, but the second (Linc) was just awful. He couldn't read, accentuate or pronounce things correctly.
•The characters were basically immature little rich snots with parents who are no better.
•What Linc did after the first encounter was unforgivable, yet it was made out like Raven was the bad one.

The Down and Dirty:
This is a hard one for me to judge. First of all, it's nearly impossible to separate the story from the narration, and the narration was just...not good, especially Untouchable. I can see Danielle is a good story teller, but the characters felt very young, snooty and immature to me. However, I was compelled to listen despite the narrator, and even though I didn't love the characters, I really want to see them together. I have heard amazing things about Rapture, the third book in the series, and if it was available on audio when I finished Untouchable, I would have immediately downloaded it despite the narrators. For me though, I don't switch from audio to reading mid series, and I'm not sure I will still be interested by the time Rapture is out on audio.
I will definitely read more from this author, hopefully about slightly older characters, or at least more mature.
Bottom line: If you like New Adult Stepbrother books, I think you will enjoy this very much, but skip the audio and read it.

I liked the alternative POV picking up from where we left off in the second book. But what I can't handle are excuses. Excuses to why they can't be together. I hate conflict that characters bring on themselves. I don't have a lot of sympathy when it comes to that.

It was again short and sweet. I didn't do a lot research on this series before I started it so I didn't really expect a full novel to be next and I am not sure how I feel about it. I feel like it will contain a lot of unnecessary BS.

Anyway, the writing in this one is good. There were a few errors again but whatever. The sex is super hot. I do question whether there is more to their relationship than just sex since the moment they are alone they can't not touch each other. Which is great and all but I was craving more. More emotion, more dialogue.

Four Emotional Stars Later

This story is a follow up to Forbidden. Book two was a reunion of sorts for Linc and Raven, they have not seen or spoken in three months. I found it fascinating because this book was written from Linc's perspective this time. I like that, seeing it from the guys point of view. This book kept me involved and it was a good read. I'm looking forward to the last installment of Raven and Linc and their story.

OMG.... seriously I don't know where to start with this book! After reading this, Linc has well and truly launched himself up into my top 3 book boyfriends.

I thought Forbidden was an amazingly hot little novella but Danielle tops it 100% with Untouchable. It's hotter and sexier. And if you loved Linc in Forbidden your going to adore the pants off him in Untouchable.

It has taken me so long to think of the right words to say to really convey my feelings but I've literally been stuck for words. I've been left with a major book hangover and I'm missing Linc already!

The connection and chemistry between Linc and Raven literally smacks you in your face while your reading, it's so believable. Then when they come together it's HOT HOT HOT!! Linc is still the cocky sex God we saw in Forbidden and it was awesome to get inside his head and read his story. Raven still has the sass and humour I adored in her in book 1. But most of all this next instalment makes you feel every inch of pain Linc and Raven are feeling and I even found myself filling up, heart breaking, wanting to jump into my Kindle and hug Linc and even Raven too!

Untouchable doesn't end on a cliff hanger as such, but there will most definitely be a book 3, I guess you need to read and see how you feel at the end! I cannot wait to see where Danielle takes these two and their crazy lives.

Those who read Forbidden NEED to read UNTOUCHABLE!! You WILL NOT be disappointed!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Stepbrother series and Danielle Jamie has knocked it out the park completely.

Untouchable takes off three months after Linc and Raven's argument and Raven is heading home once again for her mother's and Matt's wedding. Linc may have been forbidden, but now Raven is now untouchable.

In this book we get Linc's point of view and we discover that he is still reeling over the stupid bet Raven confessed to being apart of at the his expense. Linc has tried to put Raven from his mind but it's not so easy and with her returning he's finding it difficult to understand his feelings, they need to put this behind them and move forward but can they.

You will definitely fall in love with Linc and Raven all over again but be warned this book is not all hearts and roses and sometimes love cant keep you together.

Go get your copy and continue Linc and Raven's story book 3 will be out soon

O.M.G. I don't know if I should love or hate Daniell Jamie right now. You will definitely won't be able to put this down as soon as you start it. I am absolutely head over heals in love with Linc! He is cocky and am sex god that everyone wants a taste of. He has women ready to jump at the chance to be with him, but the one women he wants in "Untouchable" to him. Book 2 starts off right where Forbidden left off. After three months away from Raven, Linc is still mad about the bet that Raven and her friend made. He is not looking forward to seeing Raven when she flies in for their parents wedding. Once he sees her for the first time in three months there's no denying the spark that's still there. Absolutely one of my favorite reads Danielle and she has me dying for more. I NEED BOOK 3!

This is my new favorite stepbrother book. Love Raven and Linc they are so different but have a good carrers for themselves. Sometimes life isn't easy especially if you can have the one person who make your life shine a bright light through your soul every time he or she near you.
That how this story is but can only hope you can get to see them together again for the forever type of love. Can't wait to read the final book to know will the heart gets what the heart wants.

I will admit, after reading Forbidden: Linc & Raven #1, I had high hopes for Untouchable, and let me tell you, it surpassed all my expectations. You, Danielle Jamie are a fucking rock-star!

Its been 3 months since these two got hot and heavy and Linc is still angry about the bet. But when Raven walks back into his life for their parents wedding, his cock forgets to be angry, so does his heart ;)

Turns out the King of one-nighters isn't just a heartless fuck-machine. He has wanted Raven for just as long as she has wanted him and since the bet, he cant stop thinking about her, regardless of the wedding only days away.
No matter how many girls he takes to bed, they don't match up to her.

Raven feels bad for how things were left when she went back to school and wants to clear the air with Linc before the big day but when you're meant to be with someone, its hard to just walk away.

Watching these two play cat and mouse is . . . HOT and so dangerous.
When these two can't deny their feelings any longer, they make a promise to each other, one more night.

Is one night enough when you've lost your heart to each other, or will this end in heart break for some?

Go grab it and find out!

After reading Forbidden my first thought was…
HOW can Danielle top that???
The answer to this question was…..
UNTOUCHABLE!!!!

Danielle Jamie you have done it again you truly are a 5 STAR writing machine.

I kid you not this book this book has it all and as a reader you will feel every emotion going, from frustration, guilt, lust and love you will not be disappointed.
My kindle was on fire due to the hot smoldering hunk of a man and Raven was still the wee spitfire she was from book 1. With these two it was just the right amount of everything to make a 5 star book that was worth so much more.

UNTOUCHABLE gave me hope and happiness in one sentence then shattered my heart in the next. This book had me feeling things that no other book has. With lines such as…
“Because you are my diamond in the rough, My one of a kind treasure”
“All good things are wild and free”
“Sometimes loving each other isn't enough”
I am in love with Link and it hurts….Hurts real bad!!!

Told from Linc’s POV this book starts 3 months after they have had a taste of the forbidden fruit (each other). With their parents wedding finally here they are thrown together again and it’s electrifying.

Linc still harbors a deep rooted hurt after finding out he was the bet, but boy he cant forget that night, Raven has gotten under his skin with her claws in deep he cants shake those feeling that are within him.

Linc and Raven know that they have to appear to be on friendly terms so no one becomes suspicious, unfortunately for them avoidance isn’t the answer. There is always going to be that pull between them but they know that they can never be together as they are going to become step siblings.

Their Love/Hate relationship continues throughout Untouchable but sometimes it’s hard to choose between what the heart wants and what the head knows is right.

I am soooo looking forward to Rapture…Just not looking forward to the wait.

As always Danielle has delivered once again!!! Can't believe the way this went, can't say it was what I expected by in most ways I think is was better than what I had in mind. To have Linc & Raven over three months figure out their feelings for each other but because their parents are fixing to get married know that they can not give in, but over course we all know that is just rubbish, cause I truly don't think anything or anyone could have stopped their love/lust for one another. To have the feelings they have for each other and then to finally be able to say them out loud and know that both feel the same way. I think I started hyperventilating when they would get close then pull back. My heart was aching for them both just wanting them to throw caution to the wind and just find a way to make it work, but it wasn't meant to be. I try really hard not to put to much so as to spoil the book, but Danielle will keep you on the edge of your seat, gripping your Kindle, and running your thru emotions. She has that way in writing that she connects with those inner feelings you don't know or remember you had and it grabs and won't let go. All thou this book is definately won't the time and read.

I was given an ARC to leave a honest review for this amazing book.... Let me just say speechless! As I'm sitting back trying to write this review I have to seriously use my mind to think of things to say not to ruin the book for anyone! This book absolutely put my heart back together after the end of the first one but then just tore it back out completely .. Danielle Jamie did an amazing job writing these two amazing characters who have all this love and anger towards each other. I cried happy tears, I cried sad tears, you name it I cried it! Danielle wrote such an amazing story and I seriously can't wait for more! I don't know how I will wait for the next book to come out... In the book she wrote Sometimes loving each other isn't enough and she portrayed it perfectly.. I've always loved that quote because I believe it but she made me love it that much more! Thank you so much for sharing more Raven and Linc with us adoring fans! I can't even explain how excited I am for more!

I gave this book 5 stars!

This book starts off where book 1 ends. In book 1 it ends with Raven going back to college and a pissed off Linc about the bet Raven and her best friend made.

Linc is about to become Ravan's step brother she is Untouchable! That's what Linc head is telling him but his heart is saying something else. Can he resist his desire to be with Raven or will he cave?

Omgoodness I didn't think things could get more hotter with Raven and Linc but boy I was wrong! The vineyard seen alone will set your kindles on fire and your panties wet!! The chemistry between these two is explosive. Love how it's from Linc POV...we finally get to see The Sex God from San Francisco really thinks inside and outside of the bedroom. This book is definitely a must read!

Danielle has once again wrote a beautiful story on a taboo subject. I love how she keeps drawing you into these characters and their feelings. I can't wait to see where Linc and Raven story goes.

I have been excited to read this book and to get me a bit of Linc. This book follows on directly from book one Forbidden and is from Lincoln's pov. I love Lincoln and this book just cements this. We see a softer side to him as he opens up his heart and reveals his true feelings. Raven is still feisty or a 'Spitfire', she has a certain amount of sass that just makes her relatable and fun. A girl we all want to be. Danielle Jamie is one of my go to authors she has a writing style that is second to none. She is able to draw me in immediately with excellent characterisation. She storylines are always unique with twists and turns you never can expect. Danielle, you know I love your books and this one is no exception. Well done on a stellar 5 star book ~ Rosie

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Forbidden (Stepbrother, #0.5)

Linc is a sweet but also oh so bad boy. You get some steam and also a little background. Linc has wanted Raven for a long time but it was all a bet. Now they have to appear to be on good terms. But really the sparks are still flying. Can there two pull off the wedding for their parents without them finding out what happened months ago?

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

They both admitted their feelings even drunk but sober still felt the same way. They thought they would have problems when Bryant figured out what was going on or thought he figured out but they were saved. Now Linc is off to pursue his dream and Raven is going back to hers until their conclusion in Rapture. I look forward to this conclusion.

Untouchable pics up several months after Forbidden but this time it's told from Linc's POV instead of from Raven's. And I must say it was a delight getting into his head and seeing what his real thoughts were and his real reasons for the actions he took and takes. The college year has now come to an end and Raven is finally home for the first time since spring break. Now, Raven's mom and Linc's father are no longer merely engaged but it's time for the wedding. Linc feels huge conflict about his feelings towards Rachel - he knows in their class of society it will not be tolerated if anyone were to find them together regardless of the fact that their parents only met recently. Things start off uncomfortably as Linc and Raven ended in a bad place with one another at the end of the last book. But these two are like magnets and soon all is forgiven and it's really beautiful to see it all through Linc's eyes. This guy, wow, he's just so consumed by her and yet it's bittersweet because neither sees any possibility other than for right now. I won't say more about it except to say this book ends open ended and from a sneak peek at the last novel I believe it's going to get a little painful and angsty.

All in all, I loved being inside Linc's head as much as I loved being in Raven's. Only reason I'm leaving it with 4 stars is because it's so open it almost feels inconclusive instead of a cliffhanger.

After reading Forbidden, I couldn't wait for this book to release. I needed to know what happened after everything went down at the end of the first book. Untouchable is an awesome follow up and told in Linc's POV!

Yes, Linc was kind of a douche in Forbidden, but after getting inside his head in Untouchable... I can say I'm falling. Under all that bad boy persona, Linc really does have a heart, and a conflicted mind about going after what he wants. My heart hurts for both Linc and Raven with what has been going on with them and the predicament that they are now in.

Raven and Linc both have anger still flowing through them from everything that happened during spring break, but they also can't seem to stay away from one another or ignore the chemistry between them. I loved watching the cat and mouse game these two played, knowing they were playing with fire, but unable to deny the spark that was there between them.

Linc and Raven's love hate relationship definitely escalates in this book and you'll have to read it to see which one of these emotions ends up winning in the end. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and their constant banter and snarky remarks to each other will definitely have you laughing out loud.

If you loved Forbidden, you will definitely enjoy Untouchable. I absolutely can't wait till the fall to get the third and final book in this series... I'm definitely rooting for these two characters, but am worried they will not be able to over come everything that stands in their way currently.

Untouchable is the second book in the Linc and Raven's story. Linc is upset when he would out that Raven slept with him based on a bet. Now that Raven returned for her mother's wedding with Linc's father, she is trying to explain to Linc about the bet.

When Raven returned after three months, Linc has been trying to forget her. He went from one one-night stand to another. The problem is that the attraction between Linc and Raven hasn't faze to their three months apart from each other. Instead their time apart, just intensify their attraction to each other. I love it when both finally recognize that they belong together except that their timing is all wrong.

Their story continues. There is a cliff-hanger and now that they are apart again. Linc is trying to make a name in the golfing world and Raven is trying to finish her degree. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

The narrator, Zachary Liebenstein is perfect to portray Linc's point of view. I love seeing Linc's dilemma of trying to stay away from Raven but can't because she is all he could think of. I love that the narrator adds so much feeling to Linc that the readers/listeners will believe that Linc is a likeable character despite his flaws.

I was given this audiobook by the narrator via Audiobook Blast in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.

Wow ! Never thought I would say this but move over Kayden Knox, Danielle Jamie has a new hot man in town.
This book starts three months after their ill fated one night stand. It’s their parents wedding and they are thrown together again, but instead of being unforbidden she is now untouchable.
The story is told from Lincs point of view and it was wonderful to hear what was going through his head and I must say I was shocked to see him still reeling from Haven’s confession she had sex with him for a bet.
Linc is my new BFF, he has it all : he’s sensitive, funny, and scorchingly hot. No one quite writes a sex scene like Danielle Jamie and for all her fans of the Savannah series the vineyard scene is up there with the closet scene and will set your kindle alight.
Untouchable has to be an automatic one click for everyone. Linc will be your perfect man and you will be routing for these two to find a way to be together.
My only problem is we have to wait til the fall to see if these two have they’re own HEA. At this rate I will be begging for summer to end early and I am sure you all will be as well. On the over hand the final book is going to be a full length novel so I suspect that Danielle loves Linc almost as must as I do.

Danielle Jamie once again blew me away.

I don't know how she does it but she writes these characters that not only touch your heart but stick with you.

Linc is still his usual hot, sexy cocky self except this time we get to see into his heart. We get to hear his voice. Experience his pain, his happiness, his everything.

Raven is still that sassy, I'm-going-to-tell-you-how-it-is spitfire. She is still trying to come to terms with what happened between her and Linc.

We meet back up with Linc and Raven three months after they took a step into Forbidden territory. Feelings are still raw. There is still anger, yet there is also this unbelievable, unstoppable magnetic energy pulling them together.

When something is Untouchable and Forbidden things get a little blurry. One last time, one last night and then they go their separate ways. Only things aren't that easy. They are both so deeply engulfed in each other.

Danielle never ceases to amaze me when it comes to panty melting scenes. They are packed with heat that radiates from whatever device you may be reading on it.

One minute you will be completely overheating from their chemistry the next you will be bawling your eyes out trying to contain your emotions as she rips your heart out.

Now I will impatiently wait for Rapture.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Danielle Jamie has done it again! The second book in her Stepbrother series completely outdid her first book. Untouchable starts off three months after that ill fated night together. Linc was forbidden, but now Raven is untouchable. I loved being able to learn more about what was going on in Linc's point of view and was pleasantly surprised to discover that he is still reeling over that night he spent with Raven and the stupid bet Raven confessed to being apart of at the expense of himself. You will fall in love with Linc and Raven all over again. This story will put you back together after the heartbreak at the end of Forbidden, but then completely rip your heart out at the end. It's filled with steamy sexual encounters, but also sweet and emotional moments between Linc and Raven. Their is one phrase that stuck with me at the end of this book "sometimes loving each other isn't enough" and I think this is completely true in the case of this story. I can't believe that we have to wait till Fall to find out if Linc and Raven get their happily ever after moment.

I highly recommend this book. You will get sucked in and never want to come out. I could not put this book down for anything and I just found this book to be an amazing, sexy read!
