Loved it!

Angie is a real heroine; she may have been tricked into and trapped in a toxic relationship, but when she recognized it for what it was she got out and refused to go back. Bear shifter Hudson is a worthy mate; he's protective, respectful, and loyal, even under his UNUSUAL challenge. There are a couple of perilous situations to ratchet up the intensity level of the story,, and the heat between this pair is hotter than the fires he fights!

I enjoy this author a lot, so reading her works are a fun read for me. Love the diversity of her characters and how they always find each other. I especially love the bears, big, good looking and protective of their mates, no matter what the situation.

This time was a bit different but interesting to read how it all works out. And glad when it does work out for them. Come on and found out how these two meet, it’s a fun read.

okay

This was an okay read. I really liked the premise of the storyline. It’s funny but these fire lookouts have been coming up on my for you pages lately so I found it interesting learning more about their jobs. My complaint would be with the characters. There was just something strained with their chemistry. It took me a while to get into it but overall it was an okay read.

The Fire Watcher 🔥🔥🔥

This novella chronicles the beginning of the love story between a demoralized female forest fire watcher and the bear shifter firefighter who discovers that after waiting for years and years, he has finally found his mate and she's a human! How does a bear go about telling a human she's the One for him? Love the characters! Love the story and HEA! 😉

Good fun action read.
Was a bit annoyed with Angie at one point for her attitude but when Larry turned up and behaved as he did, I understood her thinking a bit better.
Angie accepted Hudson as a bear quite quickly.
I really want Larry to be dealt with.
Read in the KU box set BEAR DOWN & BEAR WATCHING.

Nice read. A bit simplistic in storyline. The Hero never explained anything about himself except that he was a bear shifter and that she was his mate. Seems he lives nowhere and has no family or community, he's just continually ambling through the woods.... unbelievable.

Quick and wonderful

As always Zoe Chant delivered a full story with relatable characters in a short novella. I did want to shake Angie at some points for acting crazy.
It is an instalove (on Hudson's part at least), this is a shifter book after all.

A real happily ever after story

The main characters make this story a winner. Their raw emotions come through to the reader as the story develops and the reader is rewarded with the end. As always I would love to see a story of their future. Hint Hint Enjoy!

Quick read

Even though it was a quick read, the details were there and tension subtly conveyed. I enjoyed that it was a Insta love moment for him, but she felt something too. Plus we got not only an appropriate villain, but a fire too.

Short but sweet

This story has a unique (so far as I've read) problem where the shifter gets stuck in his animal form. I enjoyed that.

I was binge reading and had quite a few of Zoe Chant's books that I had one-clicked and wanted to read, but would always have something else come up. I have to say. TAKE THE TIME AND READ ALL OF HER BOOKS!! They are each unique, some follow a specific group, but each can stand alone and have a happy ending. They are feel good and quick reads! I absolutely loved all her books I have read!

Cute shifter romance !! This is a short stand alone tale, with terrific characters, an interesting plot, and shifter sexiness. Angie is a fire-spotter, and Hudson is a Smokejumper/firefighter. He finds her on the mountain and knows she's his mate, but she doesn't know about shifters, and his sudden instant love of her frightens her. Her creepy ex shows up and gets mean, when the bear comes running and chases him off. She discovers his bear/ man after the forest fire starts up. They battle it together, and later she feels the true mates connection. This lighthearted romance is fun and sweet. ENJOY !!!

Different kind of bear shifter book.

Kindle Unlimited book - standalone - no cliffhanger. She goes to work in a remote forest during a dry spell. She's running from an abusive ex. When a man comes along and things heat up, she doesn't believe he wants her so he pushes her away. When her ex shows up...a bear saves her. Can she accept his secret?

Bear shifter firefighter falls for forest ranger human on sight. It's a race to see what will happen first, them as a couple, or a forest fire! Lovely! Very well worth reading!
