Overall this boxed set 'Til Death was just ok. I was really interested in Marcus after meeting him in the Jokers' Wrath series as of a friend of Mack. Who btw showed his yummy self in this series too. Anyway so Marcus has this grand plan to get himself a wife as a stipulation in his grandfathers will. Enter naïve Katia who ignored all the signs that something about their relationship just seemed one sided. Of course it was all because Marcus is gorgeous and a God in bed. So drama happens and Part 2 starts. Now this part I totally disliked. I don't like when important secrets are keep from one of the parties. I also hated Katia in Part 2, she was so different and not in a good way. Marcus was wrong for what he did but what she planned as revenge was so over the top wrong she ruined part 2 for me. The ending was wrapped up in a sweet lets start over bow that I would have enjoyed if I wasn't so over the book at that point.

So I had actually read this sooo many times years ago and during that time, I had read it more then once. And I remember loving this trilogy so 🤷🏻‍♀️
Pretty sure it also had crossovers from other characters from Bellas Jewels' other stories which I also loved. ❤️

Well, some people say, "Starting over is hard to do.". That definitely applies to this book. My gosh, getting over finding out your husband used you to keep his company is a pretty BIG setback. But then she goes and adds her own huge roadblocks for him to have to get past. This was a good story about redemption and forgiveness.

Part 1 is 5 stars, part 2 is a 4 so to compromise it's 5.
Part 1
I freaking loved this part it was so so good!

It was hot, sexy and a little darkish.
Part 2

That's what I mostly felt.
I still liked it, don't get me wrong.
It was sometimes just so messed up. Still loved it!
I would recommend this one it was a fun read!

I really liked these stories and I'm glad this is a set so I could go right into the last story. What a mess this couple was! I did have an ugly cry moment near the end to the point that my husband was rolling his eyes at me.

I didn't particularly like this book at first. I hated him, I was frustrated with her, I was pissed at them both...
And then they broke my heart. It HURT to keep reading; It was impossible not to.
By the end, I was delighted and thankful.
Their story intoxicated me from beginning to end.

This is kind of hard to rate because this was two parts put together. And they were written a little differently.

I think I could have loved this book. But I ended up just loving the idea of it. It could have been great. For example in part one. It was set up for a huge heart break at the end. The problem for me was the dual narratives. I always knew what was going on, I always knew how both of them felt towards each other, and I always knew the truth was going to come out. There was no mystery left for me. If it had only been from Katia’s POV it would have been much more devastating in the end. It would have been a big blow for her and the reader. But because I already knew everything from the beginning I didn’t even really feel a twinge when it all came out because I had been expecting it.

Another thing that didn’t work for me was it almost felt like I was reading the cliff notes version of the story. It was all the highlights instead of a continuous story. The flashbacks contributed to that. I liked the flashbacks but it broke up the present story too much for me. I would have preferred to read it in chronological order. By the time I got to the end of part one it felt like I was on one of those fast walk things at the airport. Instead of flowing a natural pace, it felt like I sped through it. That’s how the writing felt to me.

Part two felt like more of a natural pace, especially after it stopped going into Marcus’ past.

There were elements to part two I didn’t like either. It I’m not going to list them all here. Instead I will focus on what I liked.

I liked Katia, she felt a little immature at times, but I loved her bubbly personality in the beginning. I thought she was cute and funny. She made me laugh quite a few times.

Marcus was intriguing. He was all broody and quiet, and bossy. And I loved it when he would show a hint of a smile over something Katia did or said. I loved seeing him fall in love with her. Although I wish I could have only seen it from Katia’s POV or maybe just had a chapter at the end where he recaps everything he felt from beginning to end of part one. Not the whole story over agin but him explaining his reasons and where everything changed for him.

I really liked Katia’s brothers. They each had distinctly different personalities and I enjoyed their presence in the story.

3.5 stars (part 1 - 4 stars part 2 - 3 stars)
If you are a fan of high angst romances with characters who are at times not very likeable and whose sanity is questionable then this is the book for you. I did like it and I am glad I read it but I was mentally exhausted when it was over. I listened to it in a day because I literally could not stop until I found out how this mess ended. I liked part 1 and felt really bad for Katya. I expected Marcus to wake up and realize he was in love with his wife and I don't think it is a spoiler to say that did happen at the end of 1 so of course I started liking him. It in no way excused what he did and I knew he had a lot of groveling to do but part 2 was a rollercoaster that I didn't anticipate. I couldn't imagine how this could work out in the end but Jewel did a great job of wrapping it up and making you feel like things could work out. I love her writing style and I get engrossed in her stories but I think I prefer her romantic suspense books. The crazy is channeled into the bad guy and that works better in my opinion.

I was looking for a book with a big grovel. I love when the hero messes up, realizes the awesomeness that he lost, and then sets off to prove how much he loves the heroine. Til Death was recommended to me as a book like this in a Facebook group. And while the hero did have a lot to beg forgiveness for, he ultimately didn’t do a lot of the begging. Mostly because the heroine never gave him the chance.

The biggest problem I have with this book is with the heroine.

There was also zero chemistry between the hero and heroine. I’m just super disappointed in this book. I’ve read other books by this author and enjoyed them, so I had high hopes for a good book with a great grovel, and I just ended up feeing pissed off and super icky at the end.

Death isn't an option

This was an intense story about a girl who was trapped by love. Marcus, is a blank slate and has only dealt with negative emotions he hasn't dealt with love or any positive emotions. This story is how Katia brought light into Marcus' life. I enjoyed it and thought it was a great story.

Wow

This book is so riveting. I found it nearly impossible to put down. The hell that people can put each other through all in the name of love is unbelievable. A MUST read.

- Caratteristiche: emozionante, coinvolgente
- Stile narrativo: scorrevole
- Tipo di finale: chiuso, soddisfacente

**4.25 'Monster' Stars**

Part One Rating: 4.0
Part Two Rating: 4.5
Final Rating: 4.25

"They say your body tells you when something becomes dangerous — that it hums with awareness. They would be right."

»»This book was something else.

»»It was lethal.

»»It was painful.

»»It was broken.

»»It was love.

"He consumed me. He took my heart in his hands and he’s holding it there."

Everything started as a sham.

Marcus pretended to love Katia in order to marry her, you want to know why? Because he wanted his grandfather's empire.

Their relationship was fucked up. But I liked it.

Sometimes it got a bit too dramatic but in the end it was worthwhile.

"I never expected to feel love in my life, so it came upon me like a hurricane, swooping in and tearing my world to pieces."

Everything changed when a baby come to the world.

Their baby....

Or maybe not.

Katia and Marcus still had a lot of obstacles to face and they needed them to grow up and to break.

"But until you’ve been there, you’ll never understand pain."

If I haven't made myself clear then let me clarify...

I loved this book.

And now you're probably asking, or not but you will now, how can I say that I loved the book and didn't give a perfect rating?

I couldn't overlook that the plot got a bit too dramatic, BUT Bella Jewel wrote beautifully.

The sentences from this book made my heart clench and I LOVED that.

*****

So, if you give this book a chance, I hope you enjoy it!

TIL DEATH VOL 1:
Did not know this was a two parter, I was surprised when I got to the end, so I am not pleased with what Ms. Bella Jewel left us with. Marcus he's not one for subtlety, "you're a beautiful girl, Katia," he murmurs. "So I'm going to come out and just say it. You want to come home with me tonight?" He's a bossy a**, "got a charity fundraiser this weekend," he says, pressing a palm to his c*** and adjusting it. "Get a dress." The conversations these two have on the phone, well mainly Marcus's side of the conversation:
"Jerked off last night," he murmurs low. "Then this morning in the shower."
Oh boy.
"Thinkin' of your sweet cu**."
My body trembles.
"Now go to sleep, I have to work."
I'm impatiently waiting for the next part Bella so get to it girl.

TIL DEATH VOL 2:
Katia, girl has some pent up anger, "how dare you be happy? I cry, my voice an angry rasp. "How dare you get to feel good? How dare you get a good life while I'm suffering? How dare yo effing look at me like you're actually sorry? How dare you exist?" Personally both of them need to get their heads out of their a**es and flippin' communicate because seriously they're both being childish. Although I did enjoy the 'revenge' if you want to call it that, that Katia tries to put Marcus through I like them both when they're together and happy because I'm a hearts, flowers and rainbows kind of girl. Once heads are out of the a**es I saw the spark that was there when they first met, "I gotta go to work," he murmurs into my neck. "When all I wanna do is eff you all day." There were some characters I hope to see have books like Candy and Ford they were both supportive and always there along with a few other characters for both parties. I can't wait to see what's next for Bella.

This was a disaster in my opinion.
Superficial and one dimensional compared with an interesting yet not quite inventive plot.

The book is way too focused on the looks of people than on their character. It’s a bit immature and superficial.
In the first few chapters, our female lead only talks, thinks and fantasises about the good looks of the male lead and it’s luxurious living conditions. That is all we get. No real reasons otherwise to why she married him. The way he treats her is also really questionable and for his known reasons, this is dreadful to read really.

The writing style switching between times and characters took out all the suspense and was more annoying than it enhanced the story.

The over dramatic crying and suffering of the female character, playing the victim was appalling. Her narcissistic and martyr tendencies were annoying.

Powerful

This book was extremely good. So good that I didn't put it down until the end. It was powerful in that the first book was maddening. I don't know how she stayed through all of that but it was a trip. The second book was what kept me reading. Her life in the second book was horrible. It was so hard to read about her mother. The end of the book was just as it needed to be. I was very pleased with this book. The only changes I would make would be a little less sex. One or two sex scenes are fine but every other chapter becomes a little much.

This duet was a pleasant surprise.

Manipulative Hero? Check.
Lovestruck Heroine? Check.
Unwanted Spouse? Check.
Hidden Agenda? Check.

The first book alone contains multiple tropes that are often overused, yet Jewel’s somehow manages to expertly wield them to create a unique and emotional story in book two.

I really enjoyed this story!

Was a lovely story and wasn’t to over the top. I love the h. Her character faults and bubbly personality made for a great heroine! Marcus was a lonely soul and could see his flaws and pain.

DNF at 20%.
I tried to push through this but there is nothing to like about either Marcus or Katia.
He is a jerk with no redeeming qualities and she takes naive and foolish to another level. Maybe Iam being too harsh or I'm not in the mood but that's a No for me.
