A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.
Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.

Another good installment. Story moves forward (maybe could have a bit more), some intriguing reveals. Looking forward to volume 5.
(Bounced off it about halfway through, but because I was busy and distracted, not because of a problem with the book/issues.)

A lot happens here to move the many pieces along, but the most wonderfully interesting part here is a meaningful reckoning of motivation—why anyone would want our world to be devoured, absorbed, obliterated, or played with by some monstergod-like dimension. There's no big twist anywhere here; it's just that a man who has everything wants something new. Way to make an impossibly fantastical story seems savagely, devastatingly true. The scariest thing about our world is that our most powerful aren't scared enough.

Oh we’re so fkn back. After a hiatus from this series and some time spent reading other comics, I’ve come to appreciate how streamlined, character driven, and compelling this whole plot is. You can say a lot about Tynion but you can’t take away the fact that he plans he narratives ahead of time and that makes for an excellently pace story issue to issue. I love the feeling of it all coming off the rails and I’m amped to see more of the future future. W0rldtr33 forever

October 6, 2026I still tend to forget the ongoing story when I'm reading this in trades, but at least it feels like things are happening now, even if I have no idea who the characters are or why they are that way. It's a much more plot heavy series than some of Tynion's other similar works, and as much as this volume moves the needle, it also ends on another cliffhanger with the real climax about to start (very Netflix-coded). Still, enjoyable enough now and the art is good.

Yes! More of this, please. This is Tynion's best ongoing series and the suspense just keeps ramping up. Will the surviving members of W0rldtr33 manage so stop Gregory Bell from ending the world by re-starting the Internet, with the Undernet taking its place? (well, we've already kind of seen what happens in previous volumes, so...) Anyway, this is just more of the goodness that is this comic--the horror of the Undernet, naked assassins, etc. I need Volume 5 like, right now...

August 9, 2026As factions jockey for position over whether or not to turn the internet back on, there are plenty of explosions, infiltrations &c, but still something of a feeling that we're in a holding pattern. It may simply be that, with thrillers even more than most stories, I tend much to prefer the variety of opening acts to the more limited moves in what follows.

A couple of answers, a couple of betrayals, and a couple of team-ups as the various factions working both for and against the Undernet move their pieces around the board.
I like how unpredictable this is series is - I do wish that it came out a little more frequently, but it holds my attention every time I read it, so it must be doing something right.

Ok sidenote this is the first book I could actually rate the way I wanted to with half and even quarter stars so that’s cool. Gonna fix a bunch of stuff. Secondly this feel like we’re closing in on the end of the series going forward but I hope we can get just a tad bit more before it calls it quits

Real Archer energy with Vicky that I don't love for this series. But the only real detraction from a volume I was otherwise impressed by.

This was definitely more of a filler volume, lots of lore conversations which is great, just bummed that it was the majority of this volume.
Art is amazing as always, and the cliffhanger was great!! Very keen for v5.
Also Vicky is a unit and is actually the best character, yall can fight me
