Pressure Point

by Ashlee Dodd

Working as a data analyst was supposed to be simple. A steady nine-to-five job that got Lila home in time to curl up with a book.

Then the numbers stopped adding up. Shipments began going missing. Shortly after, so did people.

In the blink of an eye, Lila’s ordinary life spirals into chaos and destruction that all seems to center around him. She knows she should run.

But that doesn’t happen in romance stories.

4.5/5 ⭐️ that ending had me all up in my feels! I hope there'll be a sequel one day!

I thought Lila was a very relatable fmc and I adored her friendship with Derek and Sable. I thought the amount of spice was perfect for the story. I liked how it focused more on the developing romance rather than diving into insta-lust. I also liked the little mystery side plot and how everything tied together. My one complaint is that I wanted to know a little more about Kane's backstory. I feel like his backstory alone would make for a great book!

*slight spoiler*...

It would've been interesting to have Lila and Kane team up together to take down corrupt businesses tho. Like a little crime fighting vigilante duo!
