Between the Sea, the Moon and the Stars
He's never had to want anything. Until the night he finds a stranger staring at the dark sea and realizes he can't read her at all.
What starts as a leap into the void for her soon becomes something impossible to fight.
But this isn't just a love story. It's two people slowly turning the telescope inward. Using the sky to talk about everything they don't have the language for yet. And the work of becoming someone real with another person watching.
Between the Sea, the Moon and the Stars is for readers who want their love stories to think as deeply as they feel. Where every wave, every constellation, and every shadow is doing more work than it looks like at first glance.

This book is so lovely and romantic.the writing feels so real that every time Eron and Lyra were together in the book ,it felt like I am watching them live and not reading.
Feelings were so real,it just gave me goosebumps and I was smiling while reading whole book 😊
Mica has done a wonderful job in writing, creating the scenarios and conversations were so engaging that once I started I wasn’t able to put the book down. The reference given with stars, sky and sea was amazing and very unique for me.I loved how the author has taken care of all the minute details while writing .
Chemistry of Eron and Lyra was just wow and it shows how teenagers lives are in school.Sometimes what kids are showing, they are not feeling actually and most of them feel they do not belong there. So I learned this aspect from the book too to just check with your kids how they are feeling at every phase of life
It also gives perspective of friendships and family that how sometimes all these are complicated still we manage to go through all .
Overall it was very good read for me and I enjoyed it a lot.Finished in 2-3 days so engaging and heart touching book 💖

When I started reading this book, I never expected the characters to be portrayed through such beautiful metaphors.
This book talks about family, friendship, and relationships. It explores how family expectations can sometimes feel like a heavy burden for a child, and how difficult it can be to choose between friendship and love. If you choose love, you might lose a friendship—and the same can happen the other way around.
It also shows how putting others down can sometimes be a way of trying to lift yourself up.
These are all obstacles that many teenagers go through during their high school years. Erons and Lyra are no different. Their journey explores all these struggles, emotions, and challenges, yet despite everything standing in their way, they find a way to overcome them and be together.

Between the Sea, the Moon, and the Stars by Micaela Gandullo is such a beautiful story—I absolutely loved it.
The metaphors are used so seamlessly and beautifully throughout; they fit into the narrative perfectly. I loved the metaphors so much that I found myself re-reading them multiple times—not because I didn’t understand them, but simply because they were so naturally written.
The slow-burn romantic tension between Eron and Lyra builds so wonderfully all the way to the end. When they finally kissed, I had the absolute biggest smile on my face! I was rooting for them so hard. 🥹🩷
Beyond the romance, the book captures the subtle pressures and obstacles teenagers navigate so accurately. It highlights Eron being torn between friendship and love, as well as the heavy weight of his father’s business expectations clashing with his true passion for painting.
I also really appreciated the portrayal of female friendships and the subtle jealousy dynamics. Having experienced rumors myself during my school days, there were moments where I could feel exactly what Lyra was feeling. It’s such a relatable angle—there’s almost always that one person in every school batch who causes that kind of drama.
I really, truly enjoyed reading this book. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sweet, poetic YA read! 🫶✨

Between the Sea, the Moon and the Stars is a lovely read. A YA love story at its heart, the writing is really special, and offers all readers something. Eron and Lyra are a classic pairing, popular boy, outsider girl, but the story still feels fresh.
A near stream of consciousness love story, the seamless POV shifts are both lyrical and lovely as relationship builds. The writing style is unique, it really sucked me in, and kept me engaged with the story. This is a wonderful debut, thank you to the author for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really lovely, sweet story. It had some beautiful writing in it and a couple vibe that feels like A Walk to Remember. This is a quick read, but one that I absolutely could not put down.

The author sent me a copy and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
It is a YA romance with the female love interest being considered “weird” for being true to herself. Although I could relate to her predicament, I’m not sure the reason for the other students to label her as such was clearly demonstrated. Perhaps due to a falling out with another girl that was mentioned.
The chemistry between Eron and Lyra was well communicated and I liked the awkwardness portrayed as they tried to figure out their own feelings and how the other fit into their lives.
I was a little confused by the Eron/Caleb dynamic as an obstacle but perhaps because I’m not a regular YA romance reader. Each of their reactions seemed a little too intense. The guys I know either talk it out or fight it out and then carry on with their day. They don’t hold a grudge the same way females seem to. I know I’m stereotyping but it is what I have observed.
Lyra’s friendships with Cami and Sam were healthy and great to see included in this story.
Thank you for the copy. I enjoyed reading it.

This was a beautiful, YA love story. I enjoyed the main characters and watching them grow throughout their journey. This book is definitely one you will want to read more than once. Gandullo is a writer that created a story with a lot of deep meaning. I think that depending on where you are in life, you may gain different perspectives after reading her work.
Our FMC, Lyra, was a very philosophical character. I really enjoyed experiencing how she thought about situations. Our MMC's character growth was also fantastic. Overall, this was very enjoyable and beautiful read.
