Finally. FINALLY. Back in the world of Noah, Silas and Delane — and Charlie did not disappoint. Not even a little. 🖤

This book is an emotional marathon. Drama, hate, crime, complex emotions, anxiety, grief — it's all there, layered and raw and completely unrelenting. I had to stop multiple times just to breathe before I could keep going. 😮‍💨

I was constantly on the edge — hoping, fearing, dreading — right alongside the MCs. And that ending? I was genuinely tempted to throw my phone against the wall. 😤📱
Möff. Charlie did it again.

I'm not going to tell you what happened. I refuse to spoil this for you. You just need to read it and experience the chaos yourself. You've been warned. 👀🖤

Go read this if you love emotionally devastating stories that refuse to let you go, complex morally grey characters carrying wounds that run bone deep, and a plot that keeps you white-knuckling it until the very last page. 🖤

Charlie Noir…you’ve done it again.

I don’t even know where to start because this book put my heart through the wringer.

Silas completely caught me off guard. I loved getting to see the softer side hiding beneath all those walls. Every time he let his guard down, I fell a little harder. He had absolutely no business stealing my heart the way he did. His love for Noah was unconditional and he would absolutely burn the world down for him.

Delane came into her own and became fiery and loyal to Noah and her feelings for him.

But Noah…

My heart absolutely shattered for him. His mental health struggles felt so raw and so real. Charlie handled them with such care and honesty that I found myself hurting right alongside him. I wanted to climb into the pages and remind him that he wasn’t fighting alone. I am so proud of his fight for sobriety.

This story is about healing, learning to let people in, and finding hope even when your own mind is trying to convince you there isn’t any left.

I teared up. I fell in love with these characters even, and by the last page I wasn’t ready to let them go.

I was not prepared for that ending and am so ready for the next book!

Five stars without a second thought. If you’re looking for a story that will make you feel every single emotion while giving you characters you’ll never forget, Relapse is absolutely worth your time.

Relapse takes the already complicated relationship dynamics from The Addict and somehow takes things up a notch.

Noah and Silas are giving me such strong Romeo and Juliet vibes. Their relationship has so much working against it, especially with the family dynamics surrounding Noah. I am fully convinced there is more behind David's issues with his son because some of his reactions left me with so many questions.

Then you have Noah and Delane and I am sitting here trying to figure out where the MF and MM of it all is going. There are so many complicated feelings between these characters and I genuinely do not know what Charlie has planned for them. I am absolutely dedicated to finding out.

There were moments in this book where I was rooting so hard for these characters only to have my heart broken for them when they had life deliver this wildly intense plot twist. The scene where Noah stumbles upon Silas and tried to rescue him was so deeply intense and my heart was pouring out for them. Then you have that scene with this accidental thigh moment and I both loved how realistically the characters were written and how that scene could have been performatively ignoring to Delane's struggle but it made a point to draw a line in the sand. I want it to work out but I really want things to be better resolved before it is just an instalust situation.

Charlie continues to handle the addiction and mental health rep in a way that does not make recovery feel simple. The trauma these characters are carrying impacts their choices and the way they handle the people they care about. Noah's family dynamics add another layer to everything he is already trying to navigate. I desperately hope that Damian wises up to exactly what is going on and helps Noah to be safer.

I also love the contrast between the MMCs. You have one who is morally pitch black and another giving full hero energy. Apparently my "I can fix him" heart is equally invested in both.

Relapse was a wild ride. I have so many questions and even more theories after finishing this book. Charlie Noir has me completely invested in these characters and I need to know where this incredibly complicated story goes next.

Tropes: Trauma, addiction rep, mental health rep, DV family dynamics, MF, MM, forbidden romance, morally pitch black MMC, hero MMC, I can fix him.

CHARLIE CHARLIE CHARLIE you have done it again. If I could bow down to you right now I would…I would be bowing at your feet as this book, OMG you have once again outdone yourself. You had me in tears, in pain and in a screaming state…!!!

This is the second book from author Charlie Noir. This is the second book in the series, the first book being The Addict. Relapse follows the continuing story of Noah, Delane and Silas. I will not be giving you any spoilers but this book will have you having all the feels like the first book did but for different reasons. In this book we continue to follow Noah on his journey of discovery after all the events of The Addict. This book also follows Delane as she faces her own challenges with Noah and with Silas. Then we have Silas who is facing the world of being who he is and who he wants to be.

This book like the first is written in a way that will have you not wanting to put it down. You will be drawn once again into the world of Noah, Delane and Silas. Step into a world of pain, suffering, hate, love, lust and an emotionally rollercoaster that will leave you in a state of mind numbing pain but it is a good type of pain that will make you happy that you picked up the second book.

This book as like the first had me hooked from start to finish, you need to pick up this book but make sure you have read the first book. This is another 5 star read for me as it is just heartbreakingly beautiful. And the ending omg I was not sure where Charlie would take us with this one.

I cannot wait for the audiobook of this one when it eventually comes out because like the first book it will be gripping, challenging and emotionally charged but in all the right ways.

Thank you Charlie Noir for giving me the opportunity to read Relapse and step back into Noah, Delane and Silas’s worlds.

6 STARS!! I swear... Charlie can't write a bad book. When I first read The Addict in May, I fell in love with these characters and of course Charlie (even though this book and her were on my radar for a long time). After book one, Charlie left me needing more and Relapse gave us that. It picks up right where The Addict leaves off (so thank you for not making us wait, Charlie ha). Relapse is so beautifully written that I just get hit in all the emotional feels. Our sweet baby Noah and his struggles continue to be a focus however, I feel like we got even more of a glimpse into Silas and Delane. I'll always love Silas (yeah I'm a little off my rocker but who doesn't know that by now?) and my love for him actually GREW in this book. Sure he does very questionable things but by the end (and even before that), he had my heart. Delane, this girl went through it in this book but I loved being able to see her being more vulnerable and become a baddie! Overall, this book still kept me guessing on what would happen next through the emotional turmoil. It is fast paced and will keep your attention the entire read. I cannot wait for book three because yet again, I NEED MORE!

Please check any triggers as this book is very dark with very dark topics and scenes.

Relapse completely wrecked me in the best possible way. From the very first chapter, this story pulled me back into Noah, Delane, and Silas's lives and refused to let go. Every chapter was packed with raw emotion, and I found myself needing to pause more than once just to take it all in. Silas completely stole my heart. Seeing the softer side beneath all his walls made me love him even more, and his unconditional love and loyalty to Noah was impossible not to admire. Delane also had so much growth, becoming stronger, fiercer, and someone I rooted for every step of the way. Noah's journey shattered me. His struggles with addiction and mental health were handled with so much honesty and care that I felt every setback and every victory alongside him. I was rooting for him from beginning to end. Charlie has created beautifully flawed, unforgettable characters, and a story about healing, hope, and learning to let people in. Just like the first book, I could not put this one down, and that ending completely caught me off guard. I already need the next book.

CHECK CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️
I actually give this 10/10 Stars
Ugh these characters & this story is complete emotionally charged. I was so broken hearted for them & what they went through but so loved them cause they loved strong & they still fight their struggles. Noah especially just broke my heart because not only his mental health but also struggling with addiction and thinking he wasn't worthy but with support from Silas who I loved seeing being caring & loving with Noah it was sweet to see the love Silas had for him when you know the kind of man Silas has to be cause of who his family is, and that with Noah Silas can be himself. Delane she definitely became stronger & definitely didn’t take anymore crap from Silas & I loved that she and Noah became closer as well. I don’t want to get into much more as I'm worried I'll give spoilers but you'll definitely want to give this book a read today but beware you'll still have to WAIT FOR BOOK 3 to know more of what happens.

My God. I have no words.
It feels like ages since I’ve been waiting for Relapse, and this is everything I thought it was going to be!
Noah, Silas, and Delane are back, and all three of them are broken more than ever.
If you’re looking for something that lifts you up one minute and then brings you down the next, look no further! It felt like I was laughing one minute and then crying the next! The emotional tailspin this book sends you through is so worth it, and the ending had me gobsmacked!
Roll on book three!

Wow wow WOW CHARLIE DID IT AGAIN!

The Addict was a 6 star read for me back in January. It broke me nut was done so beautifully I didn't know whether Relapse would be the same.

YES. YES IT DID. AND MORE!

I DEVOURED this book over 2 days and I loved every moment of it.

I laughed, I cried (A LOT) but not just for Noah this time... but for Silas as well.
Silas was my favourite in book 1 and my god I didnt think he could get more wickedly entertaining but not only did he have me laughing he broke my heart with his raw honesty with Noah, willing to die if it meant Noah was safe... I really thought he was going to die... well with that ENDING he just might!? Please noooo.

I love how Delane wasn't so innocent in this book, with everything that happened in book 1 to her parents deaths, to seeing Noah in the hospital and everything she learnt, she found a backbone (especially with Silas)

I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT ENDING SO THANKS CHARLIE FOR MAKING ME WAIT FOR BOOK 3 🥲

Looks like another 6 star read for Charlie from me. I will recommend this series to everyone but please! Check. YOUR. TRIGGERS.

This one is A LOT darker than The Addict but again just as beautiful.

Well done Charlie 💜💜

Finally finished my ARC of this book and my feelings are feeling!! The emotional roller coaster for each character, my heart breaks. Another cliffhanger type ending so now I wait for the third installment. However, my emotions need a break so I’ll patiently wait.

I don’t think 5 stars was enough for this book.
The emotions I felt while reading this book… let’s just say that I am glad I beta read this over a few months because it took me that long to process my feelings. I felt the pain, the rawness, anger... especially the anger towards someone who in their position should never… anyway IYKYK…
This was darker, heavier than The Addict but just as beautiful and addictive. I can’t wait to see what Charlie does for book 3 because the cliffhanger at the end….
