Though she thinks the Kyoshi Warriors are amazing, Ty Lee feels down. Toph sees this and takes the chi blocker to her old circus, where she reunites with her six sisters.

Gaaahh I am so hooked in reading comics lately ahaha. Its just so easy to read and enjoyable. I like the story of the sisters here and the Bandette episode. Cool.
I loved all three stories in this, but since I picked it up for the Avatar story, that's where most of my focus is going to be.
This story focuses mainly on Ty Lee, with Toph more as a supporting character. I had no idea what to expect, but I loved this story. It has long since been pointed out how Ty Lee joined the Kyoshi after saying she didn't want to be part of a matched set, and this story addresses just that. Also, I loved seeing her and Toph interact as friends, as we never got that in the show.
My biggest complaint is the art. There are some panels I really like (and the first panel is especially beautiful), but the expressions of the characters look a little off in many of the panels. Still, it matches the show's style fairly well, and some of the poses were great.
Overall, I loved it.
As for the other two stories in this, I enjoyed them as well.
With the Plants Vs. Zombies story, it was great to see things from the POV of the Zombies, and I loved how the plants looked.
As for the Bandette story, I had never heard of this one before, but it was a fun read, and the twist at the end was great.
1) Avatar The Last Airbender "Sisters", this was a cute story about family and the different types of family, the art work is great, the colors gave the story the right mood making it fun to read
2) Plants vs Zombies "The Curse of the Flower Bot", this is my first Plants vs Zombies story and it was cute, definitely a children's story
3) Bandette"The House of the Green Mask", the art work and color scheme was something new to me, but i think it was ok, the story was fun and had a nice moral to the ending
That afterword from Gene was so sweet... loved it. I give my thanks to the man for sending me a copy of this!
This was pretty good. I had a jolly good time reading these three little stories. The thing is though, I have never watched or read anything to do with Avatar:The Last Airbender. I want to watch the Legend of Korra series, but not much other than that. So I feel like I didn't enjoy the first comic as much as I could have, just because I had no idea who-the-heck all those characters are, and same with their lives and situations. It did end up having a really good message, and I can absolutely see the quality of the writing and art.
The last two comics where cute, and I really wasn't expecting to enjoy the Plants vs. Zombies comic at all. The comic ended up being funny and enjoyable which was awesome. The Bandette comic had a cute, good message ending which I also liked.
This is a review of just the Avatar story. Gene Luen Yang's writing is pretty solid here, and I liked getting to see more of a character I've always loved--Ty Lee. The plot is short, but good. However, the art really held this one back. McNeil's art isn't necessarily bad, but it simply doesn't fit the tone of the series well, nor capture what the characters (especially Toph) actually look like. It is especially difficult to live up to the incredibly high bar set by Gurihiru's art for the longer Avatar comics. Overall, it's not bad and I enjoyed reading it, but the art did hold it back.
I really love those Avatar comics! And this one focused on two of my favourite characters, Toph and Ty Lee, so that was great. I like the art, it fits the series, and so did the story. It's great to see a bit of what happened to those two after the end of the cartoon (I have yet to read the graphic novels).
Plants Vs. Zombies was very... WTF, but fun. Same for Bandette. Don't feel like reading more of either, but it was still nice.
A short and fun story about Ty Lee and her sisters. Ty Lee was an interesting character in the TV show and it is good to see more of her. Toph is my favourite character in Avatar and she is also in my all-time favourite characters list. Seeing her on the cover made me curious and I enjoyed this one thanks to her. Good comics.
Really like the avatar comic could not care less about plants vs zombies and bandette seems like something I would want to read more from but I wasnt invested.
FCBD 2015 has 3 stories. The first is good, the other 2 are mehhh.
Avatar The Last Airbender - Sisters - Gene Luen Yang - 4*
Ty Lee: "Toph, meet my SIX IDENTICAL SISTERS."
Toph tries to cheer up Ty Lee (who is considering leaving the Kiyoshi Warriors) by taking her to a Circus! It seems Ty Lee ran away from home to join the circus a long time ago, and she is reunited with her sisters who went to find her and joined the circus too. A nice, sweet story!
Plants vs. Zombies - The Curse of the Flower Bot - Paul Tobin - 2*
"And now ... the completion of my latest, greatest and most pleasant-smelling invention ... The FLOWER BOT!"
A zombie invents a robot flower to defeat the plants! The only thing messier than the disjointed art is the sorry excuse of a story.
Bandette - The House of the Green Mask - Paul Tobin - 2*
Bandette "And so, this evening ... as the rare film biography of Madame Presto is showing, and the guards are thereby distracted ... there will be ... a theft!"
Not sure I can approve of a thief super hero especially if they're not Robin Hooding the proceeds of their nefarious crimes. There's a small twist but it's scant comfort. Also the art is kinda juvenile. The only thing messier t
--- A mixed bag of short comics.
The Avatar one is a cute adventure between Ty Lee and Toph with a lesson about being part of a family. This is the reason why I picked this book and it was an "ok comic" with a great premise and a so-so execution.
I'm not a fan of Plants Vs. Zombies, so I guess that one was OK, a younger audience would probably enjoy it more. As for the Bandette story, I loved the art. I would probably check more about it since it looked so cool.
The Avatar story is short and well written. A day at the circus is always fun! They team the physical motions of martial arts and Rumble, Whud and Wacks, as they take on the fire bender. Yes, it is good they became acrobats when taking on the 'big one'. This has a very good and uniting message!
I really wasn't expecting to like the Plants vs. Zombies comic at all. But, the fact is that the zombies are afraid of scary movies and that is probably why they want to scare humans. The bucket hat and time out corner sign were funny and the images were more quirky than scary - to this adult.
A young costumed (ink -washed) Bandette acquires d'art while skipping and twirling herself across the rooftops of Paris. I like Bandette! She has a taste for candy bars, loves a challenge and is pretty comfortable on the back of a scooter. It's a fun read, especially, with the french accent.

Ty Lee and Toph team up?? The thing I never thought I needed and now IT’S ALL I WANT!
Super cute and short read, focusing on Ty Lee who is feeling down and Toph trying to cheer her up by taking her to the circus, where Ty Lee reunites with her sisters. Too damn wholesome!
(There are two other comics in the issue, but I don’t know what they are/never heard of them, only read the Avatar one. I LOVED it, but since I didn’t read the other two I have to give the comic 3 stars)
Cute idea for Toph and Ty Lee, but I can’t believe they actually made Ty Lee one of a set of identical septuplets. Having six older sisters that people never bothered distinguishing from each other is great for character development. Identical septuplets who then all decided to join the circus... ugh. Please go back to putting actual work into characters’ backgrounds instead of destroying the work already done.
Sırada Smoke and Shadow!
The comic was not bad at all, a nice wholesome story that gives us a little more inside into Ty Lee´s story that we learned at "the beach" episode of season 3. Toph´s character is well represented and so is Ty´s. The illustrations were pretty good too, more like childish but not bad as the "shells" free comic.
1- Sister’s —family is great but some times friends are better 2-plants vs zombies— weird science and good wins 3-thief—some things are more important than jewels graphics were good, stories short- Sister’s was my favorite
3 great stories, very generous for it`s price. I only think that I would prefer one long avatar the last surrender comic instead of 3 different short ones - but that is a biased opinion of course.
