In the 1890s, three women with secrets hope to find a home for their hearts. With her future uncertain, Marty leaves her Texas ranch to marry a man she's never met. While Texas seemed like the answer to Alice's prayers, her peace may be shattered at any moment. And Jessica's plans take a sharp turn when she finds that her Texas fortune can't protect her from a broken heart. Lone Star Brides combines three of Tracie Peterson's well-loved novels in one heart-stirring package.
Tracie Peterson is a bestselling author who writes in both historical and contemporary genres. Her novels reveal her love for research as well as her strong desire to develop emotionally meaningful characters and stories for her readers. Tracie and her family live in Montana.
I had actually read the second book first months back. I purchased the paperback because the character, Alice, was marred on her face. I was curious as to how Tracie Peterson developed her story because I have an upcoming character in my books with a marred face.
Anyhow, I eventually read the trilogy from Book 1 to Book 3. I almost didn't want to read the third book because of how rude she was but as always Tracie Peterson wrote it in such a way I just had to know what happened with Jessica. I was pleasantly surprised and the wide range of story ideas she put together and enjoyed all three books.
Lone Star Brides was an excellent title!I wrote a review, thinking the title was A Sensible Arrangement. I finally figured it out to be another! All three books were so good. These books were more favorites along with Yukon Quest. Mary Read (Amazon Customer) & Goodreads
Loved the characters and the mystery that runs through all three books in this series. Tracie Peterson weaves the message of God’s love, redemption and salvation into each book and makes it relevant to the theme of her books.
What a beautiful story of early western living. The faith of those who went from having best of best with the elite to being homeless. God's grace is seen through out the story. Thank you for beautiful story
Wow. This was a l-o-n-g read - 732 pages!! While I enjoyed all three stories, I really liked the final story featuring Jessica and Austin the most. I found the heroes in books 1 and 2 kinda annoying :P
Originally posted on Creative Madness Mama. Now, if you know me, you know I love my books. But I have to tell you that I absolutely adore omnibus editions! Getting an entire trilogy under one cover excites me to no end! I cannot explain it, but it is pure delight! Now you can get the entire Lone Star Brides trilogy in one book by Tracie Peterson. I think they did a great job of combining the covers.
I really enjoyed the third book most of all. I also appreciate that all of the characters appear in all 3 books, so I got a full picture of everyone and I get to learn how everyone ends up. Good storytelling.
