Simone Stier writes humorous cozy mysteries with coffee shops, bookshops, small towns and clever twists.

With humor, heart and plenty of small-town gossip, Simone’s books follow amateur sleuths as they uncover murder, secrets and scandal in charming Southern communities. Her Cafe Crimes series features a former true-crime podcaster turned barista and delivers binge-worthy mysteries filled with wit, charm and clever twists.

Simone lives in North Carolina with her husband and writing partner, Peter. When they aren’t plotting their next fictional crime, they’re probably cold plunging.

This was such a joy to read, and I loved it as usual! One of my favorite things about this installment was finally seeing the overarching mystery take a huge leap forward. And I’m pretty sure longtime readers will be thrilled with the developments involving some main characters! Plus we got the mysterious death and book-related mystery in this book. I flew through it and can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

Loved Loved Loved

I loved this book. I loved that I could not figure out “who done it” and I loved the peace at the end. I loved the group feeling of friendship and community and connection. It was written splendidly and it’s one of my favorites of Page’s Bookshop!

It’s a Dickens of a tale

A murder. Missing first editions. Numerous suspects. All wrapped around a deeper mystery that finally appears to be coming to an end…or has it?
