Fire & Ice: Remy and Fleur Fontenot

Rate this book
Fortune follows the Fontenot twins as they dance through their enchanted life among the New Orleans elite. Guests of honor at their revered family's Mardi Gras krewe ball, they look forward to a night of mischievous fun.

Remy, born of fire, has come to engage in an age-old gentleman’s game, determined to obtain the most conquests over the course of the evening.

Fleur, the ice queen, has only one thing on her mind: winning the heart of a man who does not belong to her. She’ll use anyone, even her innocent little brother, Teddy, to achieve her goal.

But not even the Fontenot twins are immune to fate’s twisted sense of humor.

Fire & Ice - The House of Crimson & Clover- A Crimson & Clover Lagniappe – Remy and Fleur Fontaine- is a 2015 publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Remy and Fleur are twins and secondary characters we have encountered in this series. This short novella is a fun offshoot from the usual thread and was rather tantalizing. Remy and Fleur are attending a Mardi Gras ball and each have a set agenda. Remy wants to win a unorthodox competition held each year, and Fleur is determined to seduce a man already promised to another. Suffice it to say their plans go awry.

Anytime I read a story from this series I know to expect the unexpected. This story follows that tradition and then some. Sharp dialogue mixed with paranormal activity, blended with Karma gives the seductive story a twist, a subtle wit, and an underlying charm when you least expect it. The twins were rather interesting and I am glad we were given a little more insight about them. Once again a wonderfully written excursion and once again a path I never expected to take with this series. 5 stars

An interesting pair. Remy and Fluer.
The twins seem to like trouble. They're both after a little during a ball at Mardi Gras
Remy has a chance encounter with someone who doesn't understand the game, and seems to learn a lesson.
Fluer, well, let's say her power is fitting. I doubt she actually learned anything.
Quick and entertaining read

It’s the night of the Fontenot Mardi Gras ball and twins Remy and Fleur Fontenot, one with the gift of fire and the other with the gift of ice, are plotting their evenings entertainment. Remy gets a little more than he bargained for when he tries to add Anne to his list of the evenings conquests, and learns a valuable lesson. Fleur will use whatever means she can to get her way, even if it means involving her young brother. But things don’t quite go according to plan.

A fun and entertaining short story adding more to the characterisations of the members of the Deschanel clan, with several of the characters from The House of Crimson and Clover making a brief appearance. We catch a glimpse of Remy and Fleur’s special talents, too, and those of their younger brother, Teddy, with a touch of the supernatural.

All of Author Sarah M. Cradit's stories are amazing, and this one is no exception to that rule. I enjoy reading about other members of the extended family that she bases her books on and I can't help but wonder where she will go next~ she makes every book feel like it is her best and most exciting. I love the twins story and I love how they figured out some things in this story - and I hope to see them have a larger role in upcoming books - I think that Remy needs to find love and that Fleur needs to understand love - so maybe we can find that soon for them - hint, hint....

Author Sarah M. Cradit keeps readers guessing, she keeps them on their toes and she keeps them wondering what is going to happen next. She is a master manipulator of the curves, twists, turns and loops that she throws in her stories and it is amazing to see that she has no holds barred on who does what, who leaves the story or who get hurts. That makes every story completely unpredictable because the reader can never say that a character is safe - it is truly the most remarkable thing about the stories - no one is safe, no storyline will remain untouched and the reader can never see what is coming next.

Do yourself a favor and add this one and all of her others to your TBR list, you don't want to miss anything about this series! It is amazing, exciting and fun! Enjoy ~

Fire and Ice by Sarah Cradit is an extremely short character back story of the Fontenot Twins, Remy and Fleur. The twins are minor secondary characters in Ms. Cradit's House of Clrimson and Clover series. This attention to the twins might mean they will have a larger role in the culmination of this series.

The writing is technically good, and I would have appreciated this entertaining vignette more if the characters had bigger roles in the main series. Devotees of the series learn of the twins supernatural powers and the fontenot clan's affinity for kinky games at their annual Mardis Gras party. Some of the main characters in the series make brief appearances in this short story.

Sarah Cradit has created interesting characters, and she has diligently provided detailed settings and back stories for the characters. I'm looking forward to Ms. Cradit returning to the main story and providing her readers with an epic culmination to this series.

Fire and Ice is a short story that gives us a closer look into the lives of a few more characters in the C&C series. Remy and Fleur are the Fountenot twins with some very special gifts. Remy has the gift of fire and Fleur has the gift of ice. Their younger brother Teddy is also involved in the story. His gift is illusion.
This story is about the fun and games they have at the Mardi Gras Krewe Ball. They use their paranormal talents in their little games they play and they get played as well.
Sarah Cradit weaves another great tale. It's a good stand alone story, but adds some good insight into the C&C series. If you enjoy this short story there is much more of the same great story telling in the Crimson and Clover series and more to come. A high five for Fire and Ice, Sarah. love these books!!

This short story gives the reader a chance to learn more about scheming twins Remy and Fleur Fontenot - and the entertaining situations they can get themselves into.

Fire & Ice is a fun read that contains some of the Deschanels and Sullivans, but Anne, someone you really shouldn't mess with, is more prominent in this story and adds to the amusement.

If you follow this series, don't miss this one, but if you're just picking up the series, don't start here. This is definitely for readers already familiar with the characters.

What can I say? Here's another great story by Sarah M. Cradit!

Fire & Ice is everything we've come to expect from this über talented author. As usual, Sarah delivers with her flawless writing skills, intrigue, deceit, unwavering family ties, and most of all fun. Her novels and short stories never fail to drag me in hook, line, and sinker and keep me entertained until the very last page, no matter the length. Remy and Fleur bring an unexpected, but not unwelcomed, sexual charge to the series and the ending brought a sweetness to the story that I didn't see coming.

As always, I can't wait to see what this author brings to the table next!

This story was a great lagniappe piece for me! As a die-hard fan of Cradit’s House of Crimson & Clover series, Fire & Ice was a welcome treat. This short shows off one of the things that, in my opinion, Cradit does best…paranormal. There are some really fun scenes involving some fascinating characters… notably siblings Fleur, Remy and Theo. We get to see some series favorites, equally as fascinating, like Anne, too! You have to love Anne! You don’t HAVE to love her, but I really wouldn’t cross her. Treat yourself. Read Fire & Ice!

Sarah M. Cradit has done it again in this House of Crimson & Clover Lagniappe.
This little slice of story takes a look into the twins, Remy and Fleur Fontenot. Their world in New Orleans, their family, and a bit of kinky snuck in for good measure. I enjoyed finding out more about the Fontenot family and their paranormal abilities. Even though Remy and Fleur aren’t main characters to the whole House of Crimson & Clover; they still add to the dimension of Cradit’s series. Pick this little gem up for a quick satisfying read.

Remy Fontenot and his twin sister Fleure are at the family's thrown Mardi Gras krewe ball. Remy to win the " King of the Great Sport" sexual conquest game. Fleure is there to seduce Clancy Sullivan, cousin of Oz Sullivan. The only problem with that is he's engaged and his real true love Anasofiya Deschanel isn't there. We find out the talents that Remy and Fleure have and Remy makes the mistake of trying to "pick up" Anne Fontaine. What follows shows the powers of the clan.

Fire and Ice is a short story about Remy and Fleur Fontenot. The twins have a gift. Remy's gift is Fire and Fleur's gift is Ice.

Through a Mardi Gras Krewe ball, where the sport of the night is how many sexual conquests can be obtained, Anne is introduced. Since this was a short story, not a novella, there just wasn't time to learn much about anyone. But it demonstrates the strength of the author's writing talents.

Worth a read, but learn more by reading the series.

Fleur Fontenot has the gift of ice and her twin brother has the gift of fire. The Fontenot twins are used to getting what they want, but in the Fire and Ice novella, neither do. Fire and Ice is a quick, exciting read and I was only disappointed when it ended.

Remy and Fleur. In the series we see more of their father Luther. Its really nice to get a feel for the twins and their personality. I think Remy would make a great main character with his cheeky personality and Fleur would be the harlot.

Great short story
