In post zombie infection England, a small group of elites have banded together to create a new society.
However, rivalries and secret agendas persist. One such rivalry pits Professor Atkinson, Chief Endocrinologist in New London, against another scientist as they both strive to create the zombie cure before their rival and gain the Nobel Prize.
What comes first – Ego or saving the human race?
This paranormal, dystopian story contains scenes of intrigue and gore.
In New London, a sanctuary city of elites and scientists who have hidden away from the zombie infection, an epidemiologist races to create the vaccine in time - not to save the world, but to beat his fellow scientists to the Nobel prize. The epistolary form of the story - narrated in the good doctor's journal entries - is always one I enjoy immensely, because I get an immediate connection with the character. I didn't enjoy the ending, however, as it felt rushed to a conclusion. Otherwise, well done.
