Starting off I want to mention that the memory loss trope is completely new to me, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into and hoped that I wouldn’t completely hate it before going into it.
And the thing is, I didn’t hate it at all. I very much enjoyed it actually.
Meeting Caleb and Jamie was a breath of fresh air. I really loved both characters and their personalities, both had their own charms and unique traits that ended up fitting together like a puzzle. When Jamie suffers a life changing injury, the memories of his life with his fiancée Caleb are gone. Despite this, Caleb never gives up on Jamie, he continuously does everything he can to help Jamie overcome all the obstacles placed in his path even when his own life seems to be in chaos. As they work to get Jamie better, the two fall back in love and the love story begins again.
I loved all the tender moments in between the uncertainties, the fun moments with the side characters, even the scenes that could have gone wrong but didn’t. All in all, I really enjoyed Take My Hand.
For all you spice lovers, don’t worry, this book is rife with hot spicy scenes too!

I’m a mess, this book was so sweet and so sad. It broke my heart and put it back together in the best way. Caleb and Jamie deserve so much happiness, some of the best characters I’ve ever encountered.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about memory loss but this was written just right! True love conquers all and it wasn’t repetitive, the story moved along which made sense even though nothing made sense to J (LOL)! Thank you Megan for allowing me an arc read!🫶🏽

I stumbled upon her Tiktok account one day and i will be forever thankful! I have had the absolute pleasure of becoming a Beta reader for her and I am SO EXCITED for the rest of the world to meet Jamie and Caleb!
Jamie and Caleb first meet in a pub after Caleb moved from Ohio to London to be an assistant athletic trainer for a women’s soccer team. He went out with the team after practice one day and little did he know that outing would change his entire life. When the women’s team gets recognized by a few bar patrons Caleb quickly goes on defense incase anyone gets rowdy. He felt eyes on the back of his neck so he turned around and made eye contact with Jamie from across the pub. Caleb immediately knew he just HAD to introduce himself! These two have some of the best chemistry. We see their relationship grow and unfold for the next few years getting glimpses into their lives (and these two are ADORABLY IN LOVE.)
Flash forward after Jamie’s tragic accident the two of them just had their entire world’s turn upside down when Jamie gets diagnosed with retrograde amnesia and doesn’t remember life before coming out, he only remembers meeting Caleb at that Pub.
This story is about how two people can overcome life’s biggest curveballs and conquer their greatest fears. Caleb’s resilience to winning Jamie back and trying hard to make him fall in love all over again and Jamie’s perseverance to recover from his accident and work through his anxiety. It really did take a village to help these two out. Jamie had his sister Pippa, his mother, his ex girlfriend Ellie, and his French coworker JB (one of the absolute best side characters). Caleb had his sister Tay and all of the women on the soccer team’s support. These two created such a found family and carved out a beautiful life together.
This book had me crying, laughing, and swooning, all within a few pages. It’s been a privilege to see how far Meg has come and I’m so proud of her! Easily one of my favorite books.

Did I scream with all the air in my lungs at the prologue. Yes!!!! The way it ended had me saying ‘no, no, no, no, no.’ Then we start Chapter 1 and my heart hurt knowing what was going to come even if it wasn’t straight away.
Within the first few chapters we watch Jamie and Caleb slowly build their relationship and as awkward as it is. They had me giggling and kicking my feet in moments. The patience Caleb had with Jamie melted my heart it was so precious and beautiful.
As they start to get more comfortable with each other Jamie slowly comes out of his shell and Caleb sees a side of him that he adores. Then the accident happens and it changes everything. Before I go any further, I want to admit that the memory loss trope is one I tend to stay away from because it’s my biggest fear.
Watching Jamie struggle to come to terms with the fact he can’t remember certain things and the emotions that come with it was heartbreaking. Not to mention the interactions between him and Caleb. It was painful to watch in parts especially when you could see how much pain Caleb was in, seeing the man he loved look at him like a stranger.
This story not only shows how memory loss can affect the individual but also those around them. Even with all of that, parts of it felt so special. The found family in this helped mend my heart after watching how much pain both of these characters went through.
Jamie and Caleb are a beautiful couple and regardless of the memories being there or not they proved that love will always find a way to lead them back each other. Witnessing them discover their love again after the accident and growing even closer was amazing to see. The pain and sadness the accident caused was still there but each of them learned to understand it rather than be burdened with it.
I absolutely loved these two. The way Jamie helped Caleb when he needed him the most toward the end had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. I will say that one thing that made me a little annoyed was that I didn’t get to see a certain thing that was hinted in the last chapter. I would have loved to see it and certain characters reactions but even without it I still loved the ending. Maybe got a little emotional reading the epilogue.
This was a story I couldn’t put down once I got into it. One I know in the future I’ll re-read. It was a beautiful book with amazing storytelling that sucked you in from the first chapter. Finishing it was bittersweet, saying goodbye to these two and their friends and family was sad but I’d do it all over again just to watch these two fall in love.

I am so grateful to have received an early copy of this book, and though my busy schedule made it hard for me to read it in a timely manner, every time I returned to it, it felt like wrapping myself in a warm, cozy blanket.
The Way Home is the sweetest, most heartfelt book I have read in a long time. The way that Caleb and Jamie love each other is so pure and genuine that it physically made my heart ache. I sympathized with both Jamie and Caleb throughout the entire ordeal of Jamie losing his memory, and I loved that the author wrote a dual point of view to capture both of their inner turmoil. It would be so painfully hard to be in either one of their shoes, and Megan's knack for inner dialogue really drives that home for both characters.
I can't tell you how many times I wanted to give Caleb a hug. Through learning about his difficult childhood, his fraught family dynamics and the loss of his mother, and his love for a man who doesn't remember him, I couldn't help but think about how he just needed someone to talk to! And unfortunately, the only person that he really wanted to talk to thought of him as a stranger. Of course, everything he went through in life turned him into the kind, understanding, steady man who refused to give up on Jamie even when it hurt.
Jamie is the character you want to hang out and spend a day with. Maybe go out for coffee, have him show off his latest exhibit, go out for evening drinks... I couldn't help but love him. And I think what I loved most about him was how determined he was to work through things, even when they were hard. Maybe he wanted to give up at times, but he didn't, and that makes all the difference. I loved how we get to watch him fall in love with Caleb all over again.
The side characters were very well crafted and made the story so rich! Caleb's family, Jamie's family, the Chelsea teammates... they are all so fun! And I would be remiss not to give a special shoutout to Ellie, who I would LOVE to gab and get a glass of wine with.
Overall, this book is full to the brim of tender, patient, beautiful love, and we are so lucky to have it out in the world. I would love these two in every universe.

I had the honor of receiving an ARC of The Way Home, and I can honestly say this story stole my heart.
Jamie and Caleb’s journey is one of the most beautiful, emotional, and heartfelt romances I’ve read. After Jamie loses his memory following a tragic accident, he wakes up unable to remember the last three years of his life—including the love he built with Caleb. Watching Jamie navigate this unfamiliar version of himself while Caleb patiently gives him the time, space, and unconditional support he needs was incredibly moving.
What I loved most was that this wasn’t just a story about recovering memories. It was about choosing each other every single day. Caleb never tried to force Jamie to remember. Instead, he met him where he was, loving him through every setback while carrying his own struggles with family and the homophobia he faced. Their relationship was built on patience, trust, and unwavering devotion, and it was impossible not to root for them.
There were so many moments that made me smile, cry, and completely melt, but my favorite had to be the beautiful callback between Jamie saying, “I’d fall for you in any universe, Caleb” and later discovering the engraving inside their rings: “I love you in every universe.” That moment absolutely shattered me in the best possible way. It was such a simple but powerful reminder that some love stories are meant to find each other over and over again.
And can we talk about the spice for a second? It was the perfect amount—sweet, intimate, and beautifully woven into the story without taking away from the emotional journey!

I truly wish there were 1/2 ratings. I would give this book 4.5 stars. There were small things for me that I wanted a bit more on but not enough that I didn't truly enjoy this book. Megan was able to tell us about what Jamie and Caleb went through due to this horrible accident with enough that you could empathize with both of them... being just heavy enough without it being overwhelming. You can feel Jamie's anxiety, the fear of only remembering meeting Caleb and those initial interactions and not knowing how to navigate that. His friends and family telling him things about himself and who he is, parts of his life from the past 3 years that he doesn't know or recognize. Feeling like he might not be enough for Caleb since he didn't feel he was the version of himself that Caleb was in love with or wanted. Caleb... the heartbreak of knowing Jamie is okay after the accident but not having any memories of the life they had built over the 3 years is palpable. You can feel the love he has for Jamie and the helplessness of not knowing how to be there for him without causing anymore stress or pressure. Caleb also ends up going through so much more outside of just the accident as well and Jamie was able to be there for Caleb as he navigated those things. I think that the story was told in a way that was so true to itself and the things I wanted just a touch more on, might have taken away from that. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this book.

I loved the premise of this book. An MM amnesia trope - sign me up.
“I’d fall for you in any universe, Caleb”
There was so much to love.
Caleb was an absolute sweetheart, everything he did to look after and care for Jamie, even to his own detriment sometimes.
I am actually glad that Jamie didn’t get his memories back, but fell in love with Caleb again on this own terms. As the person that he was and not who he used to be.
Jamie going to Caleb’s mother’s grave to ask her permission to propose was just the sweetest thing.
As an English person there were a few English terms that weren’t the most accurate (like denims instead of jeans), but i was able to look past this and still enjoy the setting of the book being in London. My husband is a Chelsea fan so that was a bonus as well.
There were a few elements that I wish could have been developed a bit further and I would have been happy if the book was a bit longer:
- The history of Caleb’s relationship with his dad and Bri, and then the subsequent improvement of their relationship and Bri’a relationship with Tay
- Tay being there in person and Jamie meeting her and seeing their relationship as she was so important to Caleb
- Jamie’s proposal to Caleb, I wish this had been detailed more on page as I know it would have been so beautiful and I would have loved to read Caleb’s point of view of this.
Overall I would recommend this book and this story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Jamie and Caleb….wow where do I even begin with this book. I don’t want to give anything away but what I will talk about is how much love and compassion went into this story and into these characters. I could feel it while I was reading and following these characters journey and I want to thank Megan for sharing this story with the world.
Jamie and Caleb felt so realistic and I think that’s why this story made such an impact. The memory loss concept has to be done well and I feel like Megan did an amazing job at it. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must feel like to lose memories of someone you love or the life you built with them. Whether I’m the one that lost my memories or I am the one that tries to help the person I love, remember what our life was like…I can only imagine that it’s emotionally draining on both people.
That overall theme was well done throughout this story. It also brought up the question of how much are you willing to fight for the person you love. I feel like that’s one of the most difficult questions in the world and seeing it play out in Jamie and Caleb’s story was just beautiful in its entirety. From the prologue to the very end, I had a great time with these characters and I can’t wait for other readers to enjoy their story.

After a bike accident leaves Jamie with permanent retrograde amnesia, Caleb has to navigate loving someone who no longer remembers the life they built together. One moment Caleb has a fiancée, and the next he’s grieving the life he had with Jamie because, to him, that version of Jamie is gone.
Jamie is trying to figure out how to live with a man he only remembers knowing for one day. Since his retrograde amnesia means those lost memories will never come back, he has to help Caleb understand that the version of Jamie he fell in love with is gone. He wants Caleb to see and love the person he is now, not the version of who he used to be.
I LOVED Caleb! Even with having such a shitty father, he is patient, caring, kind, and so sweet. He loves Jamie so deeply and would do absolutely anything for him, he never gives up on Jamie or stops loving him. The prologue? Jeez… it starts out strong. We see how Caleb and Jamie fell in love before the accident & that really pulled me into their lives and their relationship.
I did want a little more emotion from Jamie though. Yes, he doesn’t remember those three years, yes he shows anger but it’s really fleeting & I wanted just a bit more outrage. I mean, he lost a HUGE part of his life. The ending felt a bit rushed. The biggest thing we were expecting wasn’t even shown in the book!
Still, I really enjoyed the writing & it was such a sweet story.

I really enjoyed this book. I've read several books with the amnesia trope, and it's one of my favorites because it really shows the level of commitment someone has toward their partner. Caleb was the perfect example of that. He was caring, protective, patient, and always there for Jaime, no matter what. He's the kind of person I hope to find one day because he stayed through both the good times and the bad.
At the beginning, I really liked Jaime and thought he was such a sweetheart. However, after he lost his memories of Caleb, I found myself getting frustrated with him. I completely understand that he had no memory of Caleb, their engagement, or everything they had been through together, but I still felt like he was a little too hard on him at times. I know memory loss changes everything, but I also believe that sometimes you can just feel when someone is safe to be around. Even if Jaime couldn't remember Caleb, his body and instincts seemed to trust him. He had plenty of opportunities to walk away, yet he always found himself feeling safe with Caleb, which says a lot.
Overall, I thought the story was beautiful. It was emotional, heartfelt, and showed just how powerful unconditional love can be. I'm so happy everything worked out in the end and that Caleb and Jaime got the happy ending they both deserved.

This story was so heartwarming. Reading this felt like talking to a friend without the need to explain yourself every two seconds. I absolutely adored Jamie and Caleb. I loved how they were always there for each other no matter what.
It was the first book that featuring memory loss that I've ever read and I really admired how the author handled it. It was so good to see she didn't make Jamie regain his memory, but made him fall in love with the love of his life all over again. Jamie and Caleb are sweethearts. This book takes you on an emotional journey and I couldn’t put it down. Jamie and Caleb are engaged and madly in love when Jamie is involved in a bike accident. When he wakes up in the hospital he can remember everything except the last few years of his life. That includes all his time with Caleb, with the exception of their first meeting. Caleb is still madly in love with Jamie but Jamie feels like Caleb is a stranger. Caleb decides to take things slow so Jamie can get his health back, while hoping his memories come back as well. Caleb is terrified that Jamie won’t fall in love with him a second time. As they spend more time together, there are a lot of highs and lows. There are a lot of firsts all over again and the two of them have a lot to navigate in their lives and their relationship. I adored this book and couldn’t believe it’s a debut novel. It’s a great love story and I’d like to thank the author for giving me an ARC copy.

Wow how is it possible for a book to be so hot and so cute at the same time?
One of the things I loved most about this book is that the characters were real, flawed, whole human beings in the way that we all are. And watching them accept and love one other through each and every part of the discovery process that is falling in love was just so so beautiful.
This book is a must read at any season but especially over the summer if you’re looking to laugh, happy cry, and feel all the feels while the suns still out.
All in all? We need more queer love stories like this and Meg Storm is the author I want writing them. Whatever she writes next is an immediate TBR for me!

This book was a five star read. I recommend reading it if you love MM romance and if you love reading sad books. This book will definitely have you crying. This story was written so well. You have Jamie who is cute and nerdy, and Caleb who is loyal and very protective of Jamie. This book is written in past and present. You learn about Jamie who got in a bike accident, and what his life is like since the accident. You also learn about Caleb who is American and an athletic trainer, and what his life is like before he meets Jamie and his life with Jamie.

The ending came a little too abruptly for my taste. I literally flipped back a page to see if I had missed one.. I would have loved to stay with them just a little longer. ❤️
But all in all, it was a really sweet story, and I enjoyed every second of reading it 😊

I don’t normally go for the memory loss trope, but I am so glad Megan chose me as an arc reader. This is a true LOVE story. It’s not about regaining the memories they shared, it’s about them falling in love no matter what. The patience, the love, the flirting, the TRUTH of it. I giggled, cried, stared at the wall. ARC Review! : The Way Home by Megan Storm is just an amazing read! This book had me almost crying and reaching for tissues. I awwed and gave eyebrow raises and laughed. From the start right to the end I didn’t know what was going to happen next and I absolutely enjoyed every page. This book is definitely going on my reread rotation, a 10/10, 5 stars all around. I really loved this book! I fell in love with Caleb and Jamie right off the bat. The timeline was also concise and didn’t jump around. The author made their love the gooey centre of an a delicious book! I would recommend.

STUNNING! I never write reviews but decided to for this one. I absolutely loved how these characters were brought to life. I immediately connected with them. Their love was so palpable. I love to read how characters fall in love and it felt SO REAL. Beautiful. I wish all books were like this one.

It’s cute, realistic and dreamy for sure, I liked it, it was well written, there wasn’t really plot, it was more of a emotional plot.
Would recommend for beginners in mm romance.
But I wouldn’t reread it youknow🤷🏼♀️ it was fine and cute but nothing that tore my heart apart.
