Slade: An Enemies to Lovers Forced Proximity MC Biker Romance

Rate this book

She’s the enemy. So why the hell do I want her in my bed?
Laurel Brooks is hiding something.
I know it the second I catch her watching my clubhouse from a parked car. She says she's a journalist. I don't believe a damn word of it.
She's trained. She's careful. And she's got secrets written all over her.
So I take her keys, carry her into my clubhouse, and make one thing clear… she doesn't walk away until I know exactly who I'm dealing with.
Then I find out she's been tracking the same man we have in our sights.
Now she's staying with the Renegades. And I'm the one ordered to keep her close.
Too close.
The problem is, the longer she's under my roof, the harder it is to remember why I should keep my hands off her.
She drives me insane. Pushes every damn button I have.
We're supposed to be enemies.
But every argument brings us closer. Every touch lasts too long. And one kiss could destroy every boundary between us.
Because once I have a taste of Laurel, letting her go might be impossible.
She's dangerous. She's off-limits. And I want her anyway.

Slade is a short, sweet, and steamy small-town instalove romance with a happy-ever-after. It can be read as a standalone or together with the rest of the books in the Renegades MC

This is the last book in the Ridgemont Renegades MC, and I am going to miss these stories. The last book is -as all the previous ones- a stand alone story that follows a interconnected theme.

This book deals with the end of Castellano and it is in the hands of Slade and Laurel. She is the key to bringing his dirty empire down, as she is a fed who has been undercover and working directly with him.

Both Slade and Laurel are observant and very protective people, so they recognize the need for control on each other, it is until they give a bit of the control away and work together than they can accomplish the mission. The passion between them is hot and their love is earn and well worth the wait. The ending epilogue brings it all together!

A great read!.

I loved this enemies to lovers short read! Slade by Lana Bloom is Book 6 of the Ridgemont: Renegades MC and a great addition to the series. It kept my engaged from start to finish with its excellent story, characters, and writing. The connection between Slade and Laural is present from their first meet. The emotional and discovery banter between the two sets up their bond which the author carries so well throughout their relationship from enemies to tolerating one another, to friendship, and then to a more intimate relationship. The mystery and saga of the danger surrounding Ridgemont comes face to face with Slade, Laurel, and the Renegades MC making this one of my favorites of this series and by this author. I really enjoyed this book and series! Highly recommended.

Slade by Lana Bloom was a fun, steamy enemies-to-lovers romance with plenty of tension and chemistry. I loved the forced-proximity setup and watching Slade and the heroine slowly move from frustration and distrust toward something much deeper. Slade is protective, tough, and possessive, but seeing his softer side made him even more appealing. The story had a great mix of romance, suspense, drama, and MC brotherhood that kept me turning the pages. I especially enjoyed the banter and the undeniable spark between the characters. Overall, Slade was an enjoyable biker romance with an alpha hero, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers tension, and plenty of heat.

“Slade”by Lana Bloom (Ridgemont: Renegades MC #6)

-This is a short, sweet, and steamy read that pits Slade and Laurel Brooks against each other in a battle of wills before the sparks fly. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

The real tension sits in whether the club can trust her — and whether she can trust them back. Their back-and-forth banter is crisp and fun, and it's grounded by a club that genuinely shows up for each other. A satisfying, feel-good way to close out the series.

Slade never thought he would run into his ultimate match in Laurel an undercover FBI agent. She matched him in everything he did. The way she read the room, found the exits. She was as observant as he was in every way. The way these two work together and match wits with their mutual enemy. I so enjoyed every moment of this book and how these two came together. It made for a really good read and how this author brought the whole series together in the way they brought down their enemy. You won't be able to put this book down until you finish to the end. This is a must read!!

This is the final book in Ridgemont Renagades MC and it was the perfect ending to a great series. Slade is the more guarded and jaded twin, especially when he find Laurel Brooks in a rented car outside the club. She is as guarded as Slade is as he tries to figure out who/where she came from. They are both stubborn, do not trust easily, and underlying that is an electric attraction. They all work together to finally bring down the enemy who has been using Ridgemont and Riverside. Nice epilogue to bring everything together.

This started off good hence the three stars and then quickly put the lead female on the back burner. There was no chemistry between Slade and Laurel. Laurel was a government agent and lets herself be treated as a damsel in distress in the 1600's. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved how Slade questioned Laurel. Refused to let her out of hoods sights until he knew what secrets she was keeping. Both of them were so much alike in their observations of their surroundings. I loved it. I loved the way he was instantly attracted to her. Their connection was fire, and it really burned the pages of this story. Action, chaos, sweet and steamy. This was a really good read.

Laurel is FBI looking into Castellano and goes to the Renegades for help. Slade catches her outside the clubhouse and brings her in. This is a slow burn, not much heat and when they finally bring down Castellano, its a bit anti-climatic.

Which Side

She needs the MC to finish the job her FBI dept. shut down. They need the information she has to accomplish it. Loyalty, brotherhood and a love that tests them both.
