Angus Wolfe Adventures - The King's Puzzle #2

The King's Puzzle, Book 2 of 6: An Angus Wolfe adventure

Rate this book
A letter from Buckingham Palace prompts Angus Wolfe to search for the King’s Puzzle, a treasure hunt that his 10-year-old grandfather created for King George VI to solve while touring Canada in 1939. Why did Angus’s grandfather keep his puzzle and associated treasure a secret, and why did he fail to keep a rendezvous with the King and the Royal Train in 1939?

Their attempt to solve the mystery surrounding the King’s Puzzle leads 16-year-old Angus and his girlfriend Amanda to Smythewood Estates, a luxurious wooded property near the Canadian Pacific Railway line in rural Ontario. There, they encounter Sharol Smythe, an attractive and enigmatic parliamentarian who suggests that there may be a link between the King’s Puzzle and a missing persons case from 1939 involving a member of her family. Intrigued by this sexy older woman and flattered by her interest in him, Angus agrees to help solve her family mystery, much to the jealous chagrin of Amanda.

Death, lies and deceit abound at Smythewood Estates. A series of escalating physical and psychological attacks rains down upon the teenagers as they get closer to the heart of both mysteries. It is soon obvious that there are those in the present day who wish the decades-old mysteries to remain unsolved. The dangers they face at every turn leave Angus and Amanda not only wondering who they can trust, but struggling to define their own relationship.

Second in a six-part serial, The King’s Puzzle, Book 2 will keep you enthralled with its page-turning suspense and leave you waiting breathlessly for each new installment of this romantic thriller.
