The Mapmaker
Where is the line crossed between faith and madness?
Dallas detectives Francisco “Frank” Gutiterra, a long time veteran on the force, and Rick Olsen, his rookie partner and a die hard young “techie,” find themselves at that frightening intersection, while on a case so twisted; it dares to push one or both of them over the edge.
An elusive and psychotic mad man dubbed the Mapmaker, claiming to be on a divine mission from God, leads Gutiterra and Olsen to a series of puzzling murders, each committed by equally maniacal killers with a horrible connection to him. The Mapmaker does so, by turning his own victims into “maps,” with their bodies, leading to where each of the crimes occurs. But, the more things the detectives learn about the cases, the bigger the clues-and the insanity-grows with each passing day.
With an overly ambitious news reporter complicating matters, Gutiterra and Olsen get closer, or farther, from catching the mad man. But are they ready to deal with what they uncover if they ever find him?
Only ‘The Mapmaker’ holds the answers to everyone’s salvation, including Gutiterra’s, or that of the Mapmaker himself.

Terrible editing! English Teachers" Nightmare!
I would have given this book a 4 if not for the preponderance of grammatical and spelling mistakes. If it was edited at all, the editors had a poor command of 8th grade English! Run-on sentences, incomplete sentences, verb tense errors, continuity errors, etc., ad nauseum! These errors occur on almost every page, making it difficult to stay within the well-conceived storyline and absorb the important messages of the author.

Good story
Thought this was a really good story. Lot of pretty sick stuff going on here. It is about an abused child who is getting g revenge on evil men from his past. His method of exacting that revenge is the issue. The cop who is chasing him and has to unravel the crimes of the evil men make a pretty good read.
However, this story was difficult to get through because there are so many grammar mistakes, along with some technical error (the lead detective's wife's name changed) it was very distracting and took away from the story. This needs a good proofreader to fix it.

A decent story completely ruined by so many errors and a failure to implement a basic command of English. 20% into the book and I had to give up, why for goodness sake was this not proof read?
Very disappointing. I sincerely hope that this is the first and last time that I award only one star to a book.

Ok story. Re a ding it very difficult.
The editing of this book made it less enjoyable to read. You have to guess at what the writer was saying or just insert words yourself to finish sentences.

The Mapmaker
The story line was ok, but there were to many mistakes in the editing. It was very distracting to be an easy entertaining read. Someone should have read before publishing.

Great story
I just started this book and can tell it is going to be very interesting. One flaw-too many typos and punctuations misplaced. You have to read sections over to make sure you understand what you've just read.

Who proofread this book?
A decent story, but difficult to read. The syntax, the punctuation, the spelling were all terrible. The main character's wife's changes at the end of the book from Beth to Kathy. Who, I am wondering, proofread this book?

Needed an editor!
This was a great book,but this author desperately needed a good editor. Punctuation, words out of line, etc. Was distracting and annoying.

Great Concept, Poor Translation by Computer
I loved this read but had a hard time getting by the grammatical errors. I'm hoping it's related to a computer program and not a human.
