📖 When the Forbidden Mafia Captor Uses Your Own Reading List for Inspiration

A Haunted Bride is a fast-paced, scorching dark mafia romance featuring an utterly consumed, tech-savvy antihero. Because Milena's sister is engaged to his older brother, Rion believes they can never be together, setting up a delicious forbidden dynamic. His obsession is next-level; he uses his expert tech skills to hack her gadgets, rigging up constant surveillance so he can monitor and talk to her after kidnapping her. My absolute favorite part was Rion studying the romance books Milena reads just to replicate those exact scenes in real life.

Hunted Bride by Zia Ellory is a dark, intense mafia romance filled with obsession, danger, and undeniable tension. Rion and Milena’s relationship brought a twisted cat-and-mouse dynamic that kept the story intriguing, with plenty of possessiveness, power struggles, and steamy moments. I enjoyed the dark atmosphere and the ruthless mafia world, which added an extra layer of suspense to the romance. Rion is the kind of morally gray hero who commands attention, while Milena’s character adds vulnerability and complexity to their complicated dynamic. The primal-play elements make this a particularly intense read for fans of darker romance themes. Overall, Hunted Bride is an entertaining choice for dark mafia romance lovers looking for something intense, steamy, and unpredictable.

Book 2 of Ruthless Bratva Heirs. Can be read as a standalone.

'This is a short and spicy dark instalove (24k words) with a possessive OTT bratva MMC, high heat with breeding kink, stalking, kidnapping, primal play, banter and humor.'

The characters were very well written and developed. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend!

Milena the shy, librarian sister of a Bravata family has had a stalker for six years. Rion Orlov is a twin from another Bravata family and was a great morally gray character. After his father dies, his mother decrees that the first son married runs the empire. Rion’s, obsession with Milena brought out parts of themselves no one else knows. This was a fast paced, steamy book with primal chase scenes and we see glimpses of what Rion’s other four brothers are up to as well. Milena finding her voice and Rion’s devotion made for a great ending, epilogue, and do not miss the extended epilogue!

Rion has been watching Milena Morozov for years, she is the younger sister of his older brother's betrothed. When his father dies, his mother is left in charge of who is his successor, she tells her sons the first marry who she approves of will lead the Orlov Bratva. Rion plays a game of cat and mouse with her, based on her reading he knows he likes to be chased. He abducts her and locks her in her sisters house and proceeds to chase her. This is a bit dark and very steamy.

This a fun short read. It was spicy, but it also had plot and banter which I found to a refreshing balance. The author kept you engaged throughout and I liked the dual POV between Milena and Rion. I can't wait for the next book that was teased at the end. That also sounds like it'll be a good read.

This was a good read. The plot was completely unbelievable, of course, and there was a bit too much violence for my taste. But I liked the author’s writing style, and thought the story moved at a good pace. If you like the chase, you should enjoy spending a little time playing with Rion and his little Mouse.

Primal describes this book perfectly, the storyline, the scenes are all thrilling. This book was perfect, the right length, the perfect plot, perfect story. I cannot wait to read the next book.

An interesting and entertaining story. Rion is obsessed with Milena and them take a spicy turn. It involves a primal chase, steamy scenes and a good ending. Looking forward to reading more by Zia Ellery.
