The way I devoured this book might be considered a red flag, but I don’t care! Gianna is literally the definition of boss babe and I love books with a strong FMC. And Colten isn’t afraid to rile her up, only adding flames to the fire. These two are so perfect for each other and I loved the tension between them! And the spicy scenes….holy smokes grab a fan because they will have you sweating! This was everything that I love in a Luna Mason book and it’s always fun seeing some other characters pop up!

Ok I would like to start by saying I don’t know how Luna Mason does it to drop banger after banger but oh she does!
As a dark mafia read, I love the use of emotional depth for the characters! I absolutely love Gianna and Colten! ❤️🤠
I am so glad Luna decided to start this dark, cowboy mafia series because I love them so much.
I do not know how each book’s storylines just keep getting better and better but wow! 🤩

Unchained by Luna Mason
This book had me feeling EVERYTHING. The angst, the heartbreak, the healing, the chemistry, and the kind of love that makes two people question everything they thought they knew about themselves.
Gianna Milano is a woman who was raised to be powerful, ruthless, and untouchable. She was taught that love is a weakness, that loyalty comes with a price, and that survival means keeping your heart locked away. Beneath that fierce exterior is a woman who has been hurt in ways she should never have had to endure. Watching her navigate the life she was raised for while slowly discovering the woman she actually wants to be was one of my favorite parts of this story.
And then there’s Colten Sterling. The grumpy cowboy who never planned on falling for the mafia princess he was forced to marry. He’s protective, stubborn, and absolutely determined to see the woman behind the reputation. What I loved most about him was that he didn’t expect Gianna to become someone else to deserve his love. He challenged her, stood beside her, and gave her room to discover that she could be strong without having to be heartless. Their relationship was such a delicious combination of tension, banter, possessiveness, and genuine emotional connection.
The arranged marriage and forced proximity were EVERYTHING. Two people entering a marriage with their own agendas, both convinced they know exactly what the other person represents, only to find themselves falling for the one person they probably shouldn’t trust. The push and pull between them kept me invested, but it was the quieter moments that really got me. The moments when the walls came down, when the pain underneath the anger surfaced, and when love became something more than desire or obligation.
What really got me emotionally was Gianna’s grief over Max. Her pain felt raw, especially when she had to confront the reality that revenge couldn’t bring him back. That realization that getting justice doesn’t automatically heal you, and that sometimes the person you lost leaves a space in your heart that you don’t know how to live with, hit hard. Colten’s response to her pain was one of those moments that showed me just how much their relationship had grown. He didn’t pretend he could fix her grief. He reminded her that she was allowed to feel it. For a woman who had been taught to bury every vulnerable part of herself, that kind of love meant something.
And let’s talk about the chemistry because Luna Mason did not come to play. The tension, the filthy banter, the possessiveness, and the spice were on another level. Gianna and Colten have that kind of dynamic where they can challenge each other one second and have you kicking your feet the next. Their relationship never felt like it was only about physical attraction; there was an emotional intensity underneath it that made their intimate moments even more satisfying.
I also loved the contrast between the brutal world Gianna came from and the life she begins building with Colten. She’s a woman who has spent so much of her life fighting for power, believing that becoming untouchable is the only way to survive. But through him, she starts to realize that choosing happiness doesn’t make her weak, and allowing someone to love her doesn’t mean surrendering who she is. She can be ruthless and vulnerable. She can be a queen and still want to be cared for. She can hold on to her strength without letting her past dictate the rest of her life.
That is what made their romance so satisfying for me. Colten doesn’t erase Gianna’s darkness, and Gianna doesn’t have to give up her ambition to love him. They become partners, choosing each other while facing the chaos surrounding them. Their love feels like a place where both of them can finally breathe.
Unchained is more than a mafia romance mixed with a grumpy cowboy and an arranged marriage. It’s a story about grief, survival, family, betrayal, and learning that your past doesn’t have to determine your future. It’s about finding someone who sees the scars you hide and doesn’t ask you to pretend they aren’t there.
I went into this expecting a possessive cowboy, a dangerous mafia princess, and plenty of spice. I got all of that, but I also got a love story about letting yourself feel again after spending your entire life being taught that feelings make you vulnerable.
Gianna and Colten reminded me that sometimes the strongest thing you can do is let someone see the parts of you that you’ve spent years trying to protect.

I was gobbling it up and giggling like a little kid it was seriously SO GOOD.
The enemies to lovers, forced marriage of it all, really did something for me.

He literally had me on my knees for him because of how in love with Gianna he was.

The dynamic of them was absolutely incredible and delicious you could taste and feel the tension and all the love coming off the pages.

I swear every time I think that Luna can't write a better book she goes and proves me wrong!
There is nothing I love more than a forced marriage..... Add enemies and mafia to that and goodness!!!
We have seen bits of Colt in his brothers books but goodness this cowboy is so much more!
We got to meet Gianna in Unleashed and she did not disappoint she is such a badass and I freaking love her and Dom!!! He growth was so fun to watch!!!
I also love that we continue to see the brother and cousins in this world along with favorites from the past!! My favorite Flamingo loving psycho made such a nice surprise!!

She’s the badass mafia princess ready to take over for her father and arranges a marriage with none other than Colten Sterling. She wants an in with Enzo and this is how she gets it. Colten is the broody cowboy who helps run the Sterling maids empire with his brothers. There relationship starts off as an arrangement but quickly turns into something more. This is no longer a marriage on paper and Colt starts to realize he may actually be obsessed with his wife.
The banter between them?!! I was eating it up! There is nothing I love than a smart mouth, sassy, confident FMC and Gianna is absolutely that bitch and I LOVE her!! Colt is so down bad for her!! The honeymoon aka murder spree and her pranking him?!! I was cackling at their antics.
The chemistry and spice?!! Holy COW! SO HOT! Luna writes some of the best scenes!! With Gianna being a virgin she didn’t have a lot of experience and Colt is determined to make her feel praised and confident but also understands she wants to give up control. She has to be in charge all the time except when she’s with him and he gives her that safe place. Colt and his filthy mouth and dim vibes … whew🥵 I loved their dynamic! And that club scene (MMF) where he helps her live out one of her fantasies… yeah HOT as HELL!
Gianna has such a painful past and has kept her walls high. Once Colten learns just how bad it was that man is determined to help her exact revenge. He sees the broken little girl inside who never had anyone stand up for her.
Would he burn the world down for her yes.. but he knows this is something SHE needs to do so he will stand beside her and help her light the match! AND THAT for me is what I loved most.. he SEES her and understands her where others don’t. Like I said they are perfect for each other! There are so many tender moments in their story that just made my heart squeeze.
I loved the found family trope in this! Gianna being befriended and taken in by Colts family and friends is everything. I love her and Harper’s friendship. Gianna bonding with the sheep who is also broken and trying to heal… yeah she saw herself in Sally aka Preziosa.
There is just so much to love about this book! This series continues to get better and better and it was already so good! THE EPILOGUES?! I was screaming! I can’t wait for Jett and Violet’s book and also Enzo.. since we got a little more of him at the end.

Gianna and Colton Sterling! they are the definition of a power couple, their relationship in this book went from 10 to 100 so quickly that I ate it up and would like some more from them. Gianna is such an strong and powerful MFC that I personally think she's my favourite from the series and Colton in the first two books he was a character of little words and was mysterious that now after reading about him I can see why Luna has wrote it that way because he is a fine ass fictional male! What he helps Gianna overcome and how he helps her accomplish her dreams *swoon*
The humour in this story was too die for and so cleverly curated and placed that the amount of times I reread certain scenes just to laugh again was outstanding. Be warned there is one scene in this book that was so steamy it had my jaw drop and I'd like some more of that please 🤭

The way that I finished this book in a little over 12 hours should probably be studied. I couldn't stop. Luna has this spectacular way of drawing you in, making you connect with the characters on such a deep level, and never letting you come up for air. I was finished. A goner. And the banter in this one! I fear it's going to be a hard one to top. Although....with Jett's book being next I might end up eating those words. Colt and Gianna compliment each other so well though so we shall see.
I thought I was ready for Gianna. I was very, very mistaken. G is the epitome of bad ass boss babe on the outside. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is going to hold her down. If she's going to go out, she is 100% taking you with her. But on the inside, is this broken little girl who just wants to be chosen and loved. Her grief over her brother also strangles the life out of you. She learns the hard way that revenge doesn't always mean satisfaction. I was honestly crying right along with her. The way that she finds herself in this book was beautiful. She didn't become something or someone because of a man. Yes, Colt knocked a little sense in her and then he steps back. He allows her to transform. She did it all on her own. She became who she wanted to be despite the evil around her.
And Colt. Grumpy, broody, a little unhinged, Colten Sterling. I was pleasantly surprised. To be honest, I was worried I'd hate him just based on all the previous run ins we have with him. Luna...I am very sorry for doubting you. Because that man, while very morally grey, is a green flag. And you can't convince me otherwise. Because what do you mean he steps aside and let's G be the queen that she is. Most men would be jealous that their wife is more powerful than them. Because let's be clear. She is. But he's not. He loves her BECAUSE of how powerful and strong she is. He loves her so much that he takes a chance and stands up to his family for her. That is a MAN.
Honestly, I can go on and on about these characters and this book. Bottom line is, it's amazing. As always, Luna delivers. The spice and the plot keeps you in a chokehold from the very beginning. It flows. It works. Please, I am begging you L, never change.

I finished reading it and now I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m heartbroken that I finished it because I never wanted it to end. I want so much more from Gianna and Colten. I thought Unleashed was amazing. Untamed was even better. There are not enough amazing words as to what Unchained is.
Gianna from the start from where I met her in the earlier book, I knew she was going to be special. I like the queen that she is. We learn so much more about her in this book. Gianna is a bada** who worked her way up to try to become on charge of the family business. She took a lot of crap from her family, but she became strong because of it. She is strong, independent, but she was wrong in some aspects of her life and marrying Colten helped her see all the good things in life.
Colten meets Gianna toe to toe. He doesn’t baby her. He loves that’s she’s strong and opinionated. He loves her fiery side and completely obsessed in trying to find the true Gianna because he sees that she is so much more than the exterior she shows.
The spicy scenes didn’t disappoint. I loved them all. My gosh it was sexy, wild, and everything that they both did was communicated well. There was consent. There was caring for each other. Uggggh it was so goood.
I literally am so sad that I finished this book. This whole series is amazing and I hope everyone will read it. It absolutely easily became my favorites series this year. Luna Mason you are incredible.

This was good. I knew it was gonna be good and I ate it RIGHT ON UP. I mean, Luna wrote it. What can I say?
Gods I LOVE an FMC that takes no shit. And G, an absolute badass. I am in love with the way she knows who she is and isn’t apologizing for it. That’s exactly how women should be. We’re taking up space and being respected for it. Every move she made had me throw up a hell yeah in her honor. She deserved to get everything she wanted, and damn did she fight for it.
And thank the gods for Colten MF Sterling being the man he is because no one else would be right for her. I’m obsessed with the way he stands back and lets her lead, until she needs him. And then when he steps in? JFC 🥵Luna couldn’t have made her a more perfect man.
Especially THE scene. Ya know. 😏😏
The perfect representation of him giving her what she wanted but in the end it truly is him and her and that’s all they want and need. So many books get that part wrong and give too much emotion to an extra guest being included, but this was perfect.
And the way these two so easily slid into their feelings for each other? Obsessed. No breakups. No questions. Straight up honesty about their feelings, intentions and actions and FUCK that’s hot. And while a miscommunication trope works perfect in other books, it wasn’t right for G and Colten so once again Luna wrote this perfectly.

Another absolutely amazing read from Luna! Honestly 5⭐️ does not do this one justice! This is absolutely a 6⭐️ read! Unchained has quickly taken the spot of my favorite read of the year and definitely my favorite in this series! I was already in love with the Beneath the Reign series but let me tell you this one exceeded my expectations and those expectations were already high!
Talk about a power couple! Gianna & Colten are actually a perfect fit! Neither of them are good with “love” or relationships but once they allow themselves to feel what they are feeling instead of fighting the urge to let someone in it’s like a fire ignites beneath them. The way Colten wants to care & protect Gianna while also letting her be exactly who she is really was impressive. Gianna has lived a traumatic life and has no idea how to be “soft” and was made to believe that was a weakness. But Colt helps her see that the life she was forced to live was no way to live. Seeing Gianna’s character growth was beautiful. She’s still a total baddie but understands you can be both boss and have feelings. And I love every bit of it!
This is packed with insane chemistry, action/danger, seriously spicy scenes and a plot that will completely consume you! I cannot get enough of these Sterling cowboys! So as always I recommend you add this to your TBR ASAP because Luna Mason does not disappoint!

I am absolutely utterly obsessed and addicted to Gianna and Colton. Every second of this book held my attention by the throat and didn't let go until the last written word. I feel hard for their relationship. My heart ached for Gianna and how badly she needed a man like Colton even if she didn't believe it. She also doesn't make it easy for Colton. It took time but Colton and Gianna got under each other's skin in the best way.
The banter , the way they would take each other walls down the spark between them every time they touched. The way proved to each other time and time again how perfect they are for one another. The way they set each other free. Match made in hell.
The way that they would surprise each other at every turn, and that would just make them fall harder. And harder for. The fucking chemistry! This book is pure gold and Luna had out done herself. To live in Luna Mason’s brain would be a journey. Thank you for these characters. Thank you for the series.

Okay so I am a LUNA MASON STAN.... I had to say that... t=her writing and the way she tells stories never disappoints and this is no exception.
Gianna is everything... I want to be her BFF... through this series weve all wanted to love her but were soooo unsure and I am sooooo glad we got her story! We've know shes got some trauma and is a BOSS!!!!
Colten has been this hot little thing floating in the background that we have WANTEDDDDD and then we get to the end of Unleashed and we are picking our jaws up off the floor.
This story was sooo well done... It gave us some more Enzo ( we are soooo ready for him) and more crazy cousins which we are also chomping at the bit for..
This has the SPICE... for reallllllllll and its sooooooo goood!! This dedication... chefs kiss...
Alright so the MMF scene was HOT but I did wish for more FOR G ... shes been suppressed in her sexuality and i wanted her to let loose and be worshipped. But i understand she did get that in being control of the situation.
Anyway... this was soooooooo good, I loved them... I was worried i was going to be in tears like book 1 and book 2 but i didnt cry as much which was fineeeeee LOL

How does she keep upping my book boyfriends? Because Keller, then Jax, then Conan, Hunter and Ace. Now after finishing Unchained Colton takes the cake.
Colton is a grumpy mafia cowboy (literally) and boy oh boy does he get all that he gives with Queen Gianna his arranged mafia bride.
To save both of the families Colt & G marry for an alliance. Colt may be hard headed but G is no doormat. The BANTER is everything and more. The way they can go bar for bar needs to be studied!
Unchained had so many twists and unexpected situations I never knew what was next which is exactly how I picture Colt & G's marriage. The literal adventure of a lifetime! Throughout their story they are learning who they are as people, who they are together & who they will continue to be. Colt worships G, & G gives it right back. Their story is not something you wanna miss.
This book had be laughing, crying, gitty and everything in between. If I may be so bold I must say this may be my top read of 2026 thus far! I cannot wait to see what Luna has in store for Sterling Ranch.

There are so many emotions running through me after finishing this book! Ever since we first met Colten in book one, I was completely hooked and knew I would fall hard for him. Reading Unleashed only solidified that love and left me desperate to see how everything would play out between him and Gianna.
I’ll be completely honest: I wasn't the biggest fan of Gianna during Unleashed. As the mafia princess who helped Harper find her way, she didn't fully win me over yet. Because of that, watching her and Colten navigate an incredible enemies-to-lovers arc was pure perfection. The tension was off the charts!
What do you get when you mix a mafia princess and a mafia cowboy? Absolute dynamite! 🧨
Their chemistry is explosive, and their connection is completely undeniable. Colten is the absolute epitome of the "if he wanted to, he would" mentality, and Gianna is a masterclass in channeling inner female energy and power. Side by side, they go from enemies to the ultimate rulers of the kingdom, and I am totally here for it!

I was incredibly excited to read Colten and Gianna's story and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
First of all, when we met Gianna in the previous book she just screamed main character energy so I was elated when knowing she'd get her time to shine in Unchained. Showing a blip of vulnerability with Harper instantly made you know this powerful, ruthless woman has layers. And boy are there layers. Gianna is a product of unthinkable traumas, and it's fascinating to see how she turned out in spite of all of it.
The mutual pining, well their own interesting form of pining, was fantastic. Two powerhouses, two alpha personalities coming together like this made for gripping tension, hilarious banter and shenanigans, and absolutely FABULOUS spice. Best one yet, which is hard because this series has been straight fire. Can't wait for unhinged Jett's story!

I was pleasantly surprised by this addition to the Beneath the Reign series! Colton didn’t show much of himself in the first two books, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from him, but he was everything I want in a mafia romance MMC. The perfect blend of soft and possessive with his wife while being hard to everyone else.
The way he yearned for Gianna and communicated with her as she found her footing in her new world was SO swoony! Gianna was the badass we’ve gotten to know in the previous books, but we also got to see her vulnerable side, which made her character feel even more well rounded to me.
I loved seeing so many familiar faces again, and I’m already so excited for what Luna Mason has set up for Jett and Violet in the next book. That epilogue cliffhanger has me absolutely clawing at the walls for the next installment. As always with dark romance, please check your triggers before reading!

Gianna and Colten are absolutely everything!! I loved them from the very beginning this was a wild ride but I loved every part of it!! The banter between them amazing and everything you could want between the fmc and the Mmc! I loved getting to watch Gianna’s walls come down and her eyes opening to what she could really have outside of what she was raised to want and need! Like she said her and Colten needed each other and they both ended up letting each other in and turning an arrangement in something beautiful with true feelings! They seen each other in ways no one else could see their story was beautiful and like Luna in true fashion the spice was absolutely TOP TIER!!! The chemistry in and out of the bedroom was all things amazing and epic I have love this series with my whole heart just like the rest of her series and I cannot wait for Jett’s and violets story!!

I loved Colten and Gianna. Gianna is a true badass. She had such a horrible childhood, but it made her so strong and she can absolutely ruin someone while also running her side of the family.
We knew Colten from the earlier books and he was always pretty quiet, but super protective of his family. He is basically crazy about Gianna from the second he sees her and I loved that for him
There is a lot of spice, but it’s balanced with the mafia drama, family stuff, and somehow cute farm animals too. It is dual POV, which I always love.
Honestly I had such a fun time with this one and I’m already so excited for the next book because that teaser at the end??? I need it immediately.

Just when I thought Ace was going to be my favorite Sterling, here comes Colton!! This is a man who knows how to bring the best out in his partner. He doesn’t suffocate her or hold her back from the danger their way of life brings. He charges into it head first right along side her. He lifts her up to be exactly who he knows she is meant to be and gives her the room to grow and thrive! Gianna is definitely one of my top bad ass FMCs! She suffers no fools and she looks damn good while taking care of business! Her and Colton are so perfectly made to balance each other while still being true to themselves! They were so sweet and unhinged in the best ways!! That epilogue cliffhanger has been sweating a bit for that next book!!

Gianna and Colt!! These two were so good together, and Colt is officially another addition to my dream boyfriend (or husband ;)) list. The tension and chemistry between them was so good, and I loved the little bit of danger that came with their relationship too.
I also loved the Sterling family getting involved in their business as they do. Their teasing and meddling added so much fun to the story, but I especially loved seeing them show up for Gianna when things got complicated with her family.

what have you done these books keep on getting better and better this is book 3 in the series beneath the reigns this book is Colton's and Gianna's let's just say wow you have outdated yourself I love everything about this. they were both made for each other there's no other words to put it the bickering the back and forth how she is sassy he takes her sass when she gives it and when things go down they were there for each other. And let's just say the little stuff that you said at the beginning where if it triggers you skip these parts these chapters let's just say I never did the last one it was pretty hot it was everything black Colton said always try something once and that's it 😂😂😂

Gianna has officially made the list of my favorite FMCs of all time!! Colten is soo sexy, and as irritated as he gets by Gianna, he is EXACTLY where he wants to be 👏This book had me laughing my ass off the entire time with the absolute best banter, and the spice in this was *chefs kiss*. This entire series has been SOOO good, and i love how much of the other characters we get to see in each story, and all of the little snippets of future stories we’ll see!! i’m SOO excited for Jett and Violet.

Holy cowboy. These two MCs were the definition of a toxic relationship. Arranged marriage between enemies. Daddy issues. Killing sprees. Sigmund Freud would have a field day with these two. This was a little different of a read for me than the other books in the series. Unfortunately I couldn't really connect with these MCs. They were all over the place to me. I am looking forward to Jett and Violet's story though!
