The book started off slow, and I was somewhat confused with the overlapping POVs from both main characters, but as the book went on it became better! It was so good, that I couldn't put it down! While there wasn't a lot of smutty scenes going on, and the book focused mostly on the emotions of the characters, the smut scenes that were there were great! I also loved how even though sex was important between the two, it wasn't what they're relationship was built on or focused on.

Lucien stalked Luca for weeks before they truly met, and I love how before Lucien and Luca met face-to-face, Lucien already decided he would protect Luca (even if he didn't know or understand it at the time). Once they were together, I feel like Lucien was soft and gentle with Luca when needed, and the perfect dom other times. He knew what Luca needed, without question, but he still made sure Luca was comfortable.

Luca broke me, when he was in the hospital the first time, to the point of real tears. and by the second time, I was bawling. The fact that Luca said "I love you" to Lucien right before he passed out from blood loss, also killed me, since Luca decided that was his safeword. It truly broke Lucien when he heard it.

Absolutely devoured this book!!

I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I started this book. But once I did, I seriously couldn’t put it down. It’s an intense emotional roller coaster. Hooks into you and makes you feel all the emotions. I absolutely love Luca and Lucien’s story. Now I need Ethan’s story! Very very highly recommend!!

Scarred Devotion pulled me in from page one and didn't let go. The chemistry is unreal, the plot keeps you guessing, and the emotional payoff feels completely earned. If you love dark, high-stakes romance with incredible tension, pick this up immediately, 5/5 stars!
