A book you’ll love
Take three fantastic authors and combine for a wonderful book you won’t want to put down. Three tales that have their start in the annual Harvest Ball. One a story of love where one partner left without a goodbye or explanation. Now returning years later hoping to set things right. Another a tale of two matchmaking mommas and their reluctant children who want to choose their own spouse. But what if they choose the same? What if they choose differently? The last a story of a called off engagement before it was announced, an accident leading to amnesia, and a chance for the two people to really get to know each other. All three would be wonderful as standalones, together they can’t be beat. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

One Harvest Night by @author.rebecca.connolly is a delightful second chance romance. Cora is sunny, caring, and longing for her best friend. Silas is determined, humble, and enamored with Cora. Their reconnection was electric from the first moment. I loved their open, honest conversation, that they didn’t leave the hurt or misunderstanding in the shadows. They shared a beautiful friendship and a deep abiding love. I enjoyed the inclusion of Bas and Susannah’s story too!
A favorite quote: “My beautiful Primrose, I love you. I have been in love with you for as long as I can remember. You are my best friend and my inspiration, the beat of my heart and the dream of my life. The only thing I want is you, and the only future I can see is one where you are with me.”
Against Allen Arrangements by @authordanalecheminant is a fun strangers to more romance. James is kind, dutiful, and smitten. Hannah is witty, sunny, and determined. I loved that all of their interactions occur when they are avoiding their matchmaking mamas. I loved their witty conversations, flirting, and easy friendship. I loved that they were determined to make their choice of spouse because they wanted love. Everett and Louisa were a delightful addition too!

Recalling Lord Ellison by @authorkarenthornell is a second chance romance with amnesia. Grace is gentle, adventurous, and strong. Benedict is caring, charming, and determined. I appreciated Benedict’s reluctance to spend time with Grace but I loved how quickly it became a desire instead of a duty. I loved the friendship that they shared and their fun adventures. I loved their witty banter and teasing and that once they truly knew one another nothing could stand in the way of their happiness.
A favorite quote: “I understand if you cannot forgive me, but I must beg. Because I need… I need you in my life, Grace Whitmore. I cannot be without you.”

Absolutely wonderful! All three novellas were captivating and I finished them wanting more of everything, their stories, the characters, and the stories of the people you meet in the novellas.

Beautifully written and relatable characters.
Caro not only desperately misses her longtime friend Silas, but she is also completely put out by him. Three years have passed without a word from him, that is until he reappears at the Harvest Ball. Now she must confronts her conflicting feelings, her anger at him for leaving and her love and desire for him. Silas has always loved his dear friend Caro, and only left for three years to better his situation so he could hopefully spend the rest of his life with her. Now he has the opportunity to tell her, but is it too late?
I loved the long lost love theme.
Against All Arrangements by Dana LeCheminant
Both James and Hannah have mother’s intent in setting them up with their perfect match. And both desperately avoid doing so at all costs. Then by chance they meet each other ant the Harvest Ball and slowly fall in love. But when they discover that both their mothers are attempting a match with someone, will they be able to stay together even if that match is not with each other.
I absolutely loved this story! My only complaint is that I need a story about James’ friend/“sister” Louisa and friend Everett (her enemy) and their, hopefully, love story.

Grace is told by her mother that she is soon to be betrothed to heir to an earldom, Benedict. It is all to be announced at the Harvest Ball. Although she knows very little about the man, she is excited for what the future may bring until she sees him kissing her friend. Angry and sad, Grace calls off the soon to be betrothal and escapes to her aunt house for a year. Benedict spends the year trying all he can to be a better gentleman and wishes to one day apologize to the woman he unknowingly hurt ( he was unaware of the upcoming betrothal announcement). And he might ow have a chance when he learns she has returned to the area, but she has had a head injury and doesn’t remember anything from the past several years, including him and what happened. After ,along a deal with his mother, he attempts to get to know Grace now, without she remembering what happened and not revealing the truth of their past relationship. He assumes he can spend a few weeks getting to know her and maybe apologize and move on. What he doesn’t count on is falling in love with her.
I loved their chemistry and couldn’t put it down!

All three stories are beautifully written and all so sweet. Each story is unique and full of love. Clean, full of hope, easy to read and full of cute moments. All three stories are a must read and blend well together. I enjoyed each story for their exquisite tales of love.

I loved the yearning and longing for love that Silas and Caro have for each other. Silas and Caro have been friends for as long as they can remember. A sweet second chance story of two friends, three years apart and a choice. Beautiful and delightful. The yearning and frustration they felt from being apart. It's a must read!

James and Hannah, two people avoiding their mothers, who happen to meet. Determined to get to know each other without their mother's interfering. Only to fall in love! Delightful, sweet, funny and adorable! I truly enjoyed their quick and sweeping story of realizing what kind of love they want.

Amnesia helps Lord Ellison get a second chance with Grace Whitmore. She won't remember how their first engagement ended. It's sweet, full of forgiveness and second chances. It is all heart, kindness and sweet moments. A true joy to read!

Each story is romantic, tender, sweet and witty! I absolutely love the idea that a Harvest Ball is the center of each love story, yet each story is filled with an emotional richness...it's just lovely and it makes my heart happy.
The characters are beautiful, humorous and captivating. Each go on a journey that is specific to them and their hearts. Another reason why this book is stunning! The descriptions open up a world of beauty and of a different time. I found myself smiling and giggling throughout each story.

This collection was the perfect read for me. I was lost in the sweet romance, delightful historical setting, and meeting so many wonderful characters. I enjoyed how the stories were interconnected which helped me to feel immersed in the time period and a part of the village. I was very invested in all three stories and was so sad when I read the last page.
I found each story filled with charming romance, endearing characters, and a lovely setting. I very highly recommend Harvest Ball by Rebecca Connolly, Dana LeCheminant, and Karen Thornell. Harvest Ball will be a 2026 favorite for me.

Delightful Georgian Romance Collection
I really enjoyed Harvest Ball! I already read and enjoy all three authors, and having Rebecca Connolly, Dana LeCheminant, and Karen Thornell together in one collection was such a treat.
Each story brought something different. I loved the sweet childhood-friends-to-more romance in the first novella, the fun matchmaking situation in the second, and the wonderfully complicated romance in the third.
I especially enjoy collections like this because you get three complete romances in one book. The shorter stories are perfect when you want that satisfying feeling of finishing a whole story without committing to a full-length novel.

This is my first time reading one of the Timeless Romance anthologies. I’m not quite sure why I have not read any before, especially since I have read books from some of these authors. I really enjoyed this book. It is made up of three novellas, each with the main characters attending the same Harvest Ball that is held each year in that town. The books each mention characters from the other books, but each novella is a stand-alone, so you don’t have to read them in any specific order. There are some fun twists to these sweet romances, such as memory loss, so you don’t feel like you are reading the same exact story with different characters. The characters were believable and made me want to attend a Harvest Ball as well. These novellas were convenient and easy to read while waiting for my high schoolers to get out of their practices. I definitely will be reading more of these anthologies in the future.
In Connolly’s novella, One Harvest Night, Caro and Silas have been friends for years. They both started to like each other, but neither had the courage to tell the other person. Silas had to leave for a few years to help an uncle. When he came back, they had to communicate not only their love for each other but what each other really needs from the other person. The novella was a simple plot, but reminds us to put those we love first and always communicate with each other.
LeCheminant’s Against All Arrangements, was a fun matchmakers novella with a twist. James and Hannah both have mothers who arranged for a potential marriage for them. At the Harvest Ball, James and Hannah bumped into each other while trying to hide from their mothers. They kept bumping into each other and became friends. When they found out that each mother was arranging a marriage, they continued to avoid their parents because they were scared of the outcome. In the end, they decided to make their own choice, instead of waiting for decisions to be made for them. I absolutely loved the banter in this one and them literally running into each other.
Thornell’s Recalling Lord Ellison novella was an interesting variation of this genre. Grace hit her head and lost her memory from her last six years. She doesn’t remember being betrothed to Benedict and what happened to call it off. Benedict only wanted to apologize to Grace for the hurt he caused her, but ended up helping her do different activities to hopefully spark her memories. They both truly got to know each other and enjoyed time together through activities and banter. Benedict realized he couldn’t keep the truth from her any longer. Grace had to sort through the old and new memories to decide what she really thought of Benedict. I love that they had fun spending time to really get to know each other and how important truth is in relationships.
Content: each novella is clean, kisses only and no profanity. It was nice just to read some sweet stories and not have to worry about the content.

-Silas and Caro have been separated for 3 years without knowing how they feel about one another. When they are reunited they finally got their chance. This was a cute story! I loved how open and straightforward they were with each other. They made sure their feelings were very clear. They make such a cute couple. I also liked the little side story with Silas’s brother and Caro’s sister. Good story!

-Grace has amnesia of the last several years so she does not remember Benedict the man she was supposed to marry last year. She also doesn’t remember that she broke it off. Benedict’s mother along with Grace’s mother see this as a second chance for them to get back together and Benedict goes along with it. This story is soo good! I loved it so much! I loved that Benedict felt bad about deceiving her and his past actions. I loved how he genuinely cared about her. I loved watching Grace regain her memory. They are a great couple!

Benedict’s mother along with Grace’s mother see this as a second chance for them to get back together and Benedict goes along with it. This story is soo good! I loved it so much! I loved that Benedict felt bad about deceiving her and his past actions. I loved how he genuinely cared about her. I loved watching Grace regain her memory. They are a great couple!

Definitely 5 Stars for all three of these novellas! These authors are ones that whenever they have a book releasing, I have to read them! They are my go-to-authors! And these novellas just wanted me to have them write more and more books about the side characters in this collection. I am here for it ladies!!! I had just a big smile on my face while reading each of these, and I was laughing out loud a lot, had some emotional feels for the separation and longing that happened, but then I was giggling and sighing happily for the sweet and swoony romance! I LOVE all of these Timeless Anthologies and was so happy for another Georgian Collection! Woohoo!!!!

Ohhh I loved how this one started (okay, I loved every moment of it too)! The author did a great job of setting up the main scene of these two seeing each other again at the Harvest Ball. I loved the build up, the tension, the nerves, and I love, love, loved when they finally talked. Soooo good! It was so beautifully done! And witty! And swoony!

This was such a delightful and humorous story! I loved Sir James and Hannah. All of their meetings and their machinations of trying to avoid the person that their respective mothers have decided they need to meet and marry. If they avoid their moms, they can avoid that person, right? Hahaha! I was giggling many times throughout this one. I loved the outings that Sir James and Hannah happened to have together. Their conversations were open and honest and refreshing. You'll love reading about their friendship to more as they can't stop thinking about each other! There are some fun antics throughout as well. These secondary characters added such a fun layer to the story and had me laughing over their antics as well!

Oh my word! This one just was the proverbial icing on the cake for this anthology! They are all wonderful but I just adored this one so much! That first chapter is going to have you hooked and then that second chapter is going to completely reel you in and you will definitely not be going anywhere! Grace and Benedict have a second chance but there are some complications. Complications that Grace is not aware of. And it's a doozy! So settle in with your copy and don't plan on doing anything else once you read that second chapter because you won't want to set it down! Maybe have dinner prepped a lot earlier than planned so you don't have to stop when your family tells you they're hungry and they ask what's for dinner. *Giggles* Okay, just kidding...kind of! ;-)
I loved watching Benedict and Grace's hearts fall for each other. It's so sweet and swoony! You'll be holding your breath, maybe cringing a tiny bit, and DEFINITELY swooning with happy sighs! Oh, and having a big ol' grin on your face while doing all of the above! Just sayin'!

With the perfect paring of authors, we get three stories that features the Harvest Ball that Lord and Lady Shefford host each year. One thing I loved is that the main characters are mentioned in the three stories - which provided a fun connection throughout the anthology.
This Timeless Georgian Collection is a delight. And while they are short stories, I didn't feel like they were rushed. The main characters in each of the stories were perfectly paired and had their own journey to a HEA. In this collection we get second chances, meet-cutes, scheming mothers, chance meetings, and insta-connections.
With each of the stories, there are side characters that I wanted to know more about. I am hoping that each author will continue with their storyline so that we get the side characters stories!

Harvest Ball by Rebecca Connolly, Dana LeCheminant & Karen Thornell is a delightful Regency romance anthology filled with warmth, charm and engaging characters.
I always enjoy and appreciate Karen Thornell’s stories, and as an ARC reader, I especially loved her contribution to this anthology. Her two protagonists were sincere, charming and wonderfully relatable, and I particularly enjoyed watching them grow and change as they embraced forgiveness and honesty. This was my first read for the two other writers and hope to read more of their stories.
One of the things I especially enjoyed about this anthology was the way the characters from each story are known to the protagonists in the other stories. That connection gives the three stories a lovely sense of continuity and adds an extra layer of warmth and charm to the whole collection.
A lovely Regency read with engaging romances, heartfelt character journeys and the cosy interconnectedness that makes an anthology feel like one complete story. A charming addition to any Regency romance reader’s bookshelf!

What a sweet story! I really liked Caro! She felt very genuine and I loved how she cared for her sisters. Caro was determined to continue moving forward despite Silas’s exit from her life. I admired her composure and emotional intelligence. Silas was so earnest! I felt for him, he had made some impulsive and emotional decisions and was now trying to work it out. I appreciated how they communicated and the maturity both of them had.
The story was quick, but I sill felt like I could jump in and relate to the characters. I also found the side characters quite sweet! Both Caro and Silas’s siblings were a lot of fun. This was a sweet historical romance with friends to more and second chance vibes.

I also enjoyed Everrett and Lousia! They both had their own stories and I would love to see more of them in the future! This was a quick-moving story full of fun.

I enjoyed how each of the stories felt entirely separate yet connected by a main event: the Harvest Ball. I have read many novels by Rebecca Connolly, but had not yet read anything by Dana LeCheminant or Karen Thornell. It’s safe to say I will be diving into their other works now as I am a huge fan of the stories I read by them in this collection.
“One Harvest Night” by Rebecca Connolly is a friends to lovers story, Caro must move on from the pain of Silas leaving but is not sure how when she doesn’t know why he left in the first place. Now Silas has returned, what will unfold from rekindling their relationship?
“Against All Arrangements” by Dana LeCheminant. Can Sir Hames Hartwell live with a match with someone he doesn’t know but feels a duty to his parents to accept? Hannah is in need of a better future, which a match can surely provide. Her mother has intentions, but what if she doesn’t like the gentleman her mother intends?
“Recalling Lord Ellison” by Karen Thornell. (My favorite from this collection!) Grace was betrothed to a man and that engagement was severed from an indecent social observation at a Harvest Ball. Needing space to recover and redirect Grace travels away from home for a time but has an unfortunate accident which leaves her with lost memories. Who is Grace really? Can she trust a gentleman who she enjoys spending time with? How can she be sure she knows what she wants when she can’t remember 6 years of her life?
What a delightful experience I had reading each of these stories. Thanks to the authors and publisher for allowing early readers to experience these stories. This is another fabulous Timeless Georgian Collection. If anyone can get me out of my reading slump, it is a Timeless Collection! I had the added bonus of loving everything I have read by these three authors. Each story had a new perspective and kept me guessing. I highly recommend this collection.

What a genius idea to have this little collection of novellas where each features a couple who meet at the Harvest Ball (and has similar musing on one Daisy Brooks). It was a clever way to string the stories together while allowing each author their own little romance, with each story being fun and unique.

I loved this sweet second chance romance! There is a reason that this is one of my favorite tropes. It's also ideal for a novella where there is history without the need for space, and Caroline and Silas' story did not disappoint. I am ALL for the best friends to become lovers and I loved the instant passion from the clash that had kept them apart and the Harvest Ball bringing them back together. This story was pure sweetness.

This is probably my favorite amnesia tropes story, ever, in any genre. It was the most angsty of the three, but I am an awe of how much was built between Grace and Benedict in this bite-sized story. The secret between them in the face of her memory loss kept the tension high and kept me guessing on what would happen if the truth ever came to light. I wish I had more time with these two!
I highly recommend checking out this little collection of clean Regency romances!

I loved this sweet second chance romance! There is a reason that this is one of my favorite tropes. It's also ideal for a novella where there is history without the need for space, and Caroline and Silas' story did not disappoint. I am ALL for the best friends to become lovers and I loved the instant passion from the clash that had kept them apart and the Harvest Ball bringing them back together. This story was pure sweetness.

4.75 stars: This collection of novellas was such a fun read! I enjoyed each romance separately, but I also liked the idea of all these romances going on at the harvest ball, with some characters named in multiple stories.
Connolly's romance focused on Caro and her childhood best friend Silas - both in love with each other yet haven't been in contact for years because he's trying to get enough money for them to live on, yet was too ashamed to ask her to wait for him. I was so fascinated by their conversations and would love to see their relationship advance after the ball. Silas and Caro had an easy camaraderie that was fun to read.
LeCheminant's story had James and Hannah both avoiding their matchmaking mothers and falling for each other in the process. Independence is a common themes for historical romances, but I liked how these characters explored freedom in a nuanced sense and that the side characters felt real rather than just being conversational props.
Thornell's novella was about Grace, who had happily agreed to an engagement with Benedict without really knowing him, as she had money and he had connections and thought they would be a good match - but then she sees him kissing her best friend at the ball the night they were supposed to get engaged and calls it off. Then she has an accident where she loses her memory of the last six years, and he agrees, with their parents' encouragement, to actually court her this time without telling her they were previously engaged. This is honestly a crazy setup, but Thornell pulled it off SO well and I had a great time watching their relationship progress.

Three couples at a festive fall ball. I loved how each story was unique and how the characters from each story knew the men and women in the other stories.

I adored this collection! I'd read books by one author before and expected to enjoy her story; the other two were new to me and I'll admit I was wary--but I loved their stories and now I want to go look at what else they've written! I cannot even pick a favorite from the three stories--whichever one I was currently reading was my favorite but then I'd have to go back and re-read a scene or two from one of the other stories because they were so good, and that story would instantly become my favorite again. All three are just very, very well-written and draw the reader right in!

This is a fun collection of three sweet romantic stories. Each story involves the Harvest Ball in some way.
In One Harvest Night by Rebecca Connolly we meet Caro Brooks and Silas Darby. They have been best friends most of their lives. But Silas left without any word and has been gone for three years. When he comes back to hopefully claim his best friend as his wife, her might have an uphill battle. I love the friendship that runs so deep between these two characters.
In Against All Arrangements we meet Sir James Hartwell and Hannah Faircott. Both of their mothers are intent on them marrying their friend's child. James and Hannah want to find their own happy ending not their mothers choices. This fun story involves a lot of hiding from mothers and secret meetings.
In Recalling Lord Ellison we meet Grace Whitmore and Benedict Ellison. A betrothal had been arranged by their mothers. Grace was aware but Benedict was not. Things go terribly wrong at the ball that was too announce their engagement. Grace cries off and leaves for a year. I love reading anthologies. Harvest Ball is a great collection. Each of the three stories take place at Lord and Lady Shefford’s annual Harvest Ball. You can read each story on its own in a couple of hours or binge the whole book in a day.
One Harvest Night - Rebecca Connolly. This is a beautiful story of friends to lovers, forgiveness, true love. Silas was the second born son, which means he receives no inheritance. When his mother recommended he get to know his uncle better, he ended up leaving the love of his life. Problem is he never told her of his feelings. The story between Silas and.Caro is so sweet. I appreciated Caro’s mature outlook on their relationship.
Against all arrangements - Dana Cheminant
The fates are aligned in this sweet, entertaining meddling mamma’s story. I enjoyed the cat and mouse game of these two trying to evade their mother’s matchmaking. Which continues to push them together. James and Hannah are perfect for each other.

Benedict and Grace get a second chance at love. But when Grace has an accident and develops amnesia, will she remember the scene that sent her away. Will she forgive him?

Each story (novella) has its own strengths. I like the trope of friends to lovers, like we see in One Harvest Night by Rebecca Connolly. The banter between Caro and Silas was fun, showing their comfort and familiarity with each other. I will say, though, that I didn't accept Silas's explanation for why he was gone for 3 years without speaking to Caro. It seemed like too much of a cop out for me.
In Against All Arrangements by Dana LeCheminant, we have a sweet meet cute right at the start. James and Hannah are drawn to each other from the first moment. I wish we could have seen more of Everett's and Louisa's interactions. Maybe they need their own story?

I loved the growth in Grace's character, and kept waiting for her to remember more about her past. Lord Ellison also showed a lot of growth, having spent too much time living selfishly. It's the story I read through the most quickly, and it was actually the longest one! These Timeless books are always a delight to read. I appreciated receiving an early copy to review.

Surround sound, if you will.

One Harvest Night- A sweet story of Silas & Caro, childhood sweethearts, who get a second chance to choose differently. I enjoyed Savannah & Bas too! This book had a few things that reminded me slightly of Pride & Prejudice (not in the storyline) like the four sisters.
Against All Arrangements- A fun story of two meddling mothers & their children who adamantly refuse to be matched! I laughed so hard at James & Hannah’s antics & loved the honesty between these two!
Recalling Lord Ellison- An interesting story with a twist that didn’t lead me where I thought but in a good way! I really enjoyed Grace & Benedict & the redemption/ honor shown throughout this story!
