The ABCs of Alien Abduction #2
B is for Bonded
A true bond can never be forced—only chosen.
Polly survived the unimaginable. Now she's found safety on Hothrest—and in the arms of the Hothian clan leader who watches over her.
Every night she slips into Njkall's bed seeking comfort.
Every morning she walks away.
Njkall has known from the moment they met that Polly is his mate. But after everything she's endured, forcing his claim on her is the last thing he wants to do.
If he wants a future with her, he'll have to convince her that a mating bond is built on trust, not possession—and that some promises are worth making forever.
This sweet and spicy sci-fi romance features a protective alien warrior willing to wait for his mate, a traumatized heroine learning to trust again, bed sharing, found family, fated mates, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

I have mixed feeling for this book.
I felt like it was more a book about Polly and Tess, then Polly and Njkall.
That being said their story was a slow progress since Polly has a rough abduction. The year it takes for her to come back into herself is a long road for but of them. helping Tess is a big step that will push the walls of what Polly has been living with.

Ohmigoodness. Pollllly and Njkallllllllll! I might be a teeny-tiny bit excited to see they're finally getting their HEA. Polly was NOT in a good headspace when we met her previously and Njkall has been her rock through her healing journey and YESSSSSSS.
So. Polly is working on putting herself back together after what she endured before coming to Hothrest. Njkall has given her the time and space and patience, but they're both kind of stuck in this holding pattern now. Njkall won't pressure Polly in any way even if it means he has to suffer for his silence and Polly needs to wrap her head around the idea that Njkall might actually want her. AND she needs to come to terms with what she wants.
The catalyst for any of their forward momentum is a freshly escaped human woman who has to start her own healing journey. In interacting with her and gaining her trust, Polly realizes that Njkall is her person. He's supportive and patient and he gives her the safest of safe places to figure out who she is. He also won't push so she never feels obligated or caged by his expectations. In other words, if she wants them to be more than what they are, she's going to have to make the first move. And get Njkall to voice his wants because she wants him to be happy and for them to be equals in their future.
I must say Polly and Njkall's romance worked for me. Polly was given the chance to heal and grow into her new life and Njkall was given the chance to be more than just a solid leader. Which he is. Polly gave him the space to be Njkall the male, not just the clan leader. They're just so YESSSSS.

When you choose to walk out of the past…
Such a wonderful, intensely moving story about surviving trauma and taking back your life on your terms. Polly was a human abducted and eventually freed when her ship crashed and the clan leader Njkall rescued her and installed her in his home. Now a year later she has come a long way in her healing journey but her world is once again challenged when Tess, another abducted human is found. I loved the patience and tenderness of Njkall and their love story was so beautiful. Not as steamy as some of Honey’s books and slower to catch fire but once it did -wow the action and passion was awesome 🤩.

Ever since I read the book ‘Yasmin and the Yeti’ from the ‘Alien abduction’ series, I have been curious about Polly and Njkall’s story. I’m so happy that I could finally read it in ‘B is for Bonded’. This was a sweet romance story about healing, growing and being brave. I liked it.
We’re back on the ice planet Hothrest, home to the Hothians, a race of big, white-furred beings with fangs and claws. They live in clans and the men are warriors. Until recently, they led a secluded existence where outsiders weren’t welcome, but their clan leader Njkall changed that by building a resort on the planet for wealthy aliens who come for snow vacations. As with any new project, there are some problems, but luckily Njkall can count on his friend Baralt to take care of them.
A year ago, Polly, a human woman, arrived on Hothrest in a terrible state, she had had been abducted from Earth and had lived as a slave for a long time, enduring terrible abuse. Yet, from the first moment she met Nkjall, she felt safe with him. He was very patient with her, helped her in many ways and never made her feel bad.
Now, a year later, she feels safe in the caves with Njkall and his people. But when a terrified human woman is found in one of the caves and Polly takes her under her wing, painful memories come back. Also, Tess, the human woman, makes her question everything. Polly’s life on the planet, her relationship with Njkall and her future. Njkall knew from the beginning that Polly was his mate but he also knows that she has to choose him too. He loves her enough to let her go, even though it would break his heart. His time, Polly will have to choose. Will she stay or will she go?
This was a sweet story about healing, finding your own strength and making your own decisions even when you’re terrified. I really liked Njkall and Polly. It was wonderful to see how their relationship evolved from protector and friend into something more. Njkall was very patient. He was also a great leader, strong and attentive to the needs of his people. At the same time, he wasn’t afraid to be strict when needed. It was wonderful to see Polly grow during the story, from a woman who only felt safe in the caves with Nkjall to someone who shared her opinions and did things even when she was terrified. Njkall and Polly were really good for each other.
There wasn’t a lot of action in the story, but the interactions between Baralt and his human wife Izzie and some other characters made the story interesting. The story was told from both POV’s, there were a few sex scenes in it.
(Maybe good to know, Polly’s character first appeared in the book ‘Joan and the juggernaut’. I haven’t read that one yet, but I have just bought it and hope to (re)read the books in the ‘Alien abduction’ series in the future (and in the correct order this time).

*B is for Bonded* is a heartwarming sci-fi romance that combines emotional healing, found family, and an engaging love story in a richly imagined alien world. While it features the familiar "fated mates" trope, the novel stands out by placing trust, patience, and mutual respect at the center of the relationship.
What I enjoyed most was the dynamic between Polly and Njkall. Polly's journey from surviving trauma to gradually learning to feel safe again is handled with sensitivity, and her emotional growth gives the romance real depth. Njkall is an especially likable hero—protective without being overbearing, compassionate, and willing to let Polly heal at her own pace. His patience and unwavering support make their developing bond feel sincere and earned.
The world-building adds another layer of enjoyment, introducing readers to the Hothian culture while maintaining a strong focus on the characters. The story balances tender, emotional moments with lighthearted interactions, making it an easy and enjoyable read from beginning to end.
Fans of alien romance will appreciate the blend of adventure, emotional connection, and satisfying relationship development. Even with its science fiction setting, the story explores universal themes of trust, belonging, and finding hope after hardship.
Overall, *B is for Bonded* is a charming and uplifting romance with memorable characters and a satisfying happily-ever-after. It's a great choice for readers who enjoy character-driven sci-fi romances filled with warmth, emotional growth, and heartfelt relationships.

Repetition and poor character development
There's repeated dialogue between characters, constantly.
Example: "Will you go?"
"I will go."
"You mean it."
"I mean it."
And it's not just to highlight how two specific characters talk to each other because it's how everyone talks.
Characters don't have unique personalities that emerge through their voices. If you removed character names, you wouldn't be able to tell there are different voices in this book. There's one secondary character (Derron) who speaks with a unique voice. Everyone else is interchangeable.
After characters repeat dialogue, it gets repeated again in someone's inner monologue when they're recalling the conversation that happened just a paragraph or two earlier.
Example: I mean it, he'd said. (Further exposition follows, in case the readers didn't already know this was meaningful to the character.)
We keep getting told what everyone's thinking and what opinion we should have of other characters. We never get to discover anything about anyone on our own. Someone's giving someone else choices in life; they are being a person. Someone else isn't a bad person despite saying nasty things; they're just hurt and lashing out, but really they're a good person.
Everyone's actions are always explained right away, and always as a way to highlight how good and helpful they are. Even ordinary, halfway decent things are magnified in their goodness.

I was so excited to read this book!
We met Polly and Njkall in the previous series and now was finally time for their story.
It’s well worth starting with that series to get the whole story as Polly was in at least a couple, and Njkall several that went to Hothrest. The previous series was amazing with an ongoing bigger story.
I liked that getting to their story wasn’t rushed, it just couldn’t have been with how we met Polly and it was great to finally be time for them!
Njkall is one of my absolute favourites and I loved getting in his head.
Polly always intrigued me and I wasn’t sure she’d ever be ready for her own story but how happy I am to be wrong!
The slow burn for this one was perfect. Anything else just wouldn’t have been right.
I loved the emotions to this one.
Our main couple were just perfect for each other and I adored this book. The drama and action taking us through their journey together.
Meeting old characters from previous books, meeting new ones (I loved the sneak peek at one of our main characters for the next book!)
Some was edge of your seat reading.
I couldn’t put the book down which I experience with all of the authors books. She just grabs onto you and you’re happily and willingly swept away!
It was great being back at Hothrest for another adventure.
I’ll be eagerly awaiting the next in the series to be released!

This is such a fun series. We get new characters and previous ones from a different series mixed beautifully.
I really loved Polly. We meet her in Joan and the Juggernaut .She has gone through so much abuse and torture and darkness. But slowly and with a lot of patience on Njkall's part she becomes more herself. He gave her everything she needed , even when it cost him his own happiness. I love how they describe his patience as a stone. I love how they actually learn from each other. His teaching her about the rocks and how to read them came in handy. Her teaching him what she desired.
We get to visit with Yasmin also. She has becomes friends with Polly. We learn about her in Yasmin and the Yeti.
Then there is Tess. In a way I liked her because she did sometimes give Polly a reality check. But she also almost got them killed with her defiance. She to escaped the slavers. I would love to see what happens to her in a future book.
This can be read as a standalone. I loved the flow. POV of both. Worldbuilding was excellent. And then there is the heartwarming HEA. I can see them building a life together in the snow and ice.

B is for Bonded brings together Hothian warrior Njkall and Polly a survivor of past trauma suffered after being abducted from Earth by illegal traders, and who is now protected by a mate she doesn’t yet know is hers. A secret Njkall keeps until he knows Polly has healed enough emotionally to hear the words, and can trust again.
Loved this newest in the ABC’s of Alien Abduction series which was a nicely written Sci-Fi romance filled with dangers, family dynamics, personal vulnerability, emotion, passion, and adventure on the planet Hothrest which is fast becoming a tourist getaway for the galaxy’s citizens, the good and bad.
It is with the arrival of a human female who escaped from one of the many ships landing at their port, and through their conversations that Polly finally comes to the realization that what she feels for Njkall just may be love.
A wonderful story with an MMC to die for and an FMC healed by his love as she regains what was lost. All the feels will capture your heart on the path to their well deserved HEA.

4&1\2 fabulous 🌟's for B is for Bonded💖🔥🌟
This is Polly and Njkall’s story and ite been a long time coming. It has been a few years since we ment Polly she was abducted by aliens abused and then rescued. Her time in captivity was horrible and took a significant toll on her. When she was rescued she was found by Njkall who new with the certainty of his people that she was his mate. A mate that was so hurt he may never have the life he dreamed of. Njkall is the clan leader of Hothrest. When he found Polly he felt rage at what was done to her but also a deep abiding love growing inside him. He swore that he would see her healed and never take her choices away from her. And if that ment sacrificing his own happiness so be it. Polly has truly come along way in the year or so she's been on Hothrest and she has been truly healing when she gets to help someone that has suffered her same fate she takes the risk and with that risk she finds out just how much she's healed and how much she wants Njkall for her mate, now she just ahs to convince him that she's ready ! Great story fabulous characters well worth the read! Highly recommend🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🌟🔥🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥

I loved Njkall so much! He is protective without ever becoming overbearing, and endlessly patient with Polly—almost to a fault. He proves himself through consistent, quiet actions instead of grand gestures, and that made the romance feel so much more earned and genuine.
Polly's guardedness and caution are completely understandable considering everything she has gone through. Her journey of learning to trust and not feel trapped was inspiring, and I was just as proud of her as Njkall. The emotional payoff is worth it when she finally allows herself to believe in what they have and that having a mate isn't just another cage.
The found-family thread running alongside the romance added even more warmth to an already tender story. B is for Bonded is a wonderful read for anyone looking for romance with real emotional depth, endearing sweetness, and a swoonworthy MMC; this one is for you. I literally didn't want to put it down. A fantastic addition to the series and its expanded universe.

Love these books, looking forward to the next book !!!!
I love these books !!!
B is for Bonded, actually starts SERIES ago with Joan and the Juggernaut. Polly was a captive, and was rescued. She ended up meeting Clan Leader Njkall. He Immediately knew that she was his mate. But she needed time, and healing.
Njkall patiently waited.
And waited.
And , little by little, Polly was able to put herself back together.
Until the hunters find a lone female up in the dangerous hill country. A human female . Polly is the only one that could possibly help. Because she understands how that feels.
So , this story is about bravery, and understanding, and even faith .
I really love how most of these stories are so different from one to the next, and I especially love reading about past couples and how they ate doing now. I don't think I would particularly enjoy a trip to the ice planet Hothrest, but I sure do enjoy reading about the people there !!!! Looking forward to the , "C" , book !!!

I really enjoyed seeing a different part of the slavery of human females. This book goes into more what happens after they’re saved, and a complications of trying to get back some sort of normal, especially knowing they’re never going back to earth. Polly has been trying for for a year and has made great progress. She still fears being caged. She is on a very cold planet where snow is the thing. Living in snow caves is what they do and considering the species is all covered in fur they still manage to have that little bit of human features enough to make it so they are compatible.Njkall has known she was his mate for a very long time, but he is a very patient male. He is also the clan leader. We follow their relationship throughout the book as she comes into herself, and he finally gets his hearts desire. On a side storyline there is a new human female, Tess, who managed to escape the ship onto that planet. With Polly‘s help Tess might actually come out the other side of it..

This has to be the most compassionate story I have ever read. My emotions were all over the place. The utter devotion that bleeds through the pages are unparalleled to anything I have read before.
The way that Honey created these two amazing characters is mind blowing. Her ability to produce such awesome books is a testament of her incredible mind, thought process and dedication.
Polly and Njkall compliment each other in such a way that it makes your heart soar.
This is a partnership who weathered the most harshest of storms and came out the other end glowing.
B is for Bonded, and beautiful, brave and bewitching. This is a truly magnificent story that will consume you in the best possible way!
A Brilliant story Honey 💜.

“…When she no longer needs me, will she still want me?”
Njkall is a clan leader with extraordinary patience who can keep calm in almost any situation, and he’s using every skill he has to make sure one human feels safe, no matter what it costs him.
Polly was a slave, used and traumatized by the Universe before the fates delivered her into the hands of Njkall. He, and his clan, have offered her a safe haven, and as she has healed she has begun to discover who she is in the wake of these intense life experiences.
This done in one kindle unlimited book takes place 10 years before the previous book in the series. It offers a little backstory on a few characters in the previous book, but mostly it is just an intense, character driven story about healing, trust, finding our voice, and daring to take a chance after your faith in the universe has been crushed.

B is for Bonded by Honey Phillips is part of the ABC's of Alien Abduction series. Polly has been with Njkall for a year after having been abducted from Earth and surviving slavery in a mine before he rescued her. Now she lives with him, sneaking into the big white furred alien's bed every night but remaining aloof. He is the leader of the clan and loves the timid human woman, wanting her as his mate but loathe to force any connection. Then Tess arrives, another rescued slave, and Polly sees what she once was and is determined to overcome it. What a beautiful story of love and survival!.

Brilliant
This story- I have been waiting for this story since Joan and the Juggernaut. Polly’s broken parts tugged at my heart from the very beginning and Njkall’s gentleness was absolutely perfect. It was nice to see Polly step into her own self, find that strength again through her interactions with Tess and the other clan members.
It always makes me happy when characters end up on Sherae but my one gripe is that Rast ( the king) and his awesome mate Deb (the queen) never get referenced. As they are one of my favorite couples (and the book I reread the most) I wish they were talked about. Other than that, this book made me so happy!

Excellent reading!
After a traumatic beginning in the world of aliens, Polly has found a place of safety on Hothrest, with Njkall. I love watching her gain confidence, showing her inner strength, as she helps another wounded human girl. With a plethora of complex emotions, misunderstandings, and healing conversations, Polly and Njkall build their relationship into something wonderful. An awesome romance, and some extremely dangerous situations that had me on the edge of my seat! Excellent reading!

4.6⭐️ Patience is a virtue, but can be irritating when taken to extremes
Another fun read from Honey Phillips! I always enjoy her stories. Njkall is incredibly patient with Polly after all she’s been through. Polly needs Njkall to be patient with her, but she also needs him to tell her what he wants so she can choose if that’s also what she wants. This is a steamy human-“Yeti” romance with a HFN. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I knew this would be one of my favorite Honey Philip’s books from page 1.
So glad to read Polly’s and Njkall’s story, Polly’s story has haunted me for ages.
Njkall has rescued Polly a while ago, who was abducted, sold to a mine and severely abused.
What she does not know is that he is her mate.
He is the most patient, understanding, controlled MMC I have ever read, even rejecting her advances.
It takes adding rescuing another human woman for her to realize how far she has become and how she loves him.
Cannot wait for the third book - this series is the best

confused…
The last book (A) started an actually interesting plot and I thought that, given that this is a sequel, it would continue that story…but it did not. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to read about Polly’s journey with her mate, but that would have been more appropriately part of the other collection of books, not confusingly inserted into a trilogy where there was no continuity in plot and in fact, we went back in time 10 years, right? Not sure what the author is doing with these stories. It’s confusing.

Wow!!! What a compelling story! Polly has been a victim of some horrible abuse (past, off page, never openly discussed, only hinted at) and has spent the better part of a year being cared for by Njkall, a male who knows he is her mate, but will never take more than is willing offered. This story is their journey towards true partnership and what a wonderful journey it is!! Polly works so hard to overcome her past and Njkall is there to support her even if it means he might have to lose her completely to see her become whole. This is an absolute must read!!
Review of advance copy received from Author
I have become a big fan of this writer and with each and every book she comes out with they get better and better. I absolutely have been enjoying this series and cannot wait to see what more this author will bring us. The chemistry between these two main characters was so much fun to read. I enjoyed every single moment of this book. Once you start you won't be able to put it down. This is a must read!!! I cannot wait till the next one!!

This was another emotional and heartwarming addition to the series and I love how Njkal kept the fact that he was Polly's mate a secret until she'd healed enough to hear it. This is a story of building trust, something difficult to do when you add past trauma to an alien abduction. Expect to get caught up in the world building, characters, engaging plot, connection and spicy HEA. This one hit the heart strings and I loved it :D

The book's theme is the heroine healing from her trauma. She was kidnapped and used as a reward for whichever miner mined the most ore.
She is on the winter snow planet and makes jewelry and lives in the caves with the local aliens, after she escaped.
Niall is her friend and protector. He never pressures her. They live together. She feels safe with him.
Eventually she is ready for more. They take things slow. They become mates.

It always comes down to trust. Is the one you are with worthy of the feelings raised and the belief that what is said real? For Polly, spending a year with Nykall has shown her he can be patient, kind and understanding. But as clan leader, he can also be held to a higher accountability. When a new human female is brought into the clan, all of Polly's perceptions are questioned. But her faith in Nykall proves to be true.
