Tony Roberts has always been a loyal friend and hard worker, living for the nights when he could throw himself completely into his work as the head bartender at Chrome.
When Tony finds the usual outgoing and happy, Morgan crying on the stairs of their apartment building late one night, he vows to try to make it better. What he doesn’t plan on is starting something with her that he is sure he is unable to finish.
With deeply buried secrets and promises to make amends for past hurts, Tony can’t see a way to make things work with Morgan. The timing is all wrong, even though he wants her with everything he is.
When the truth finally comes out, will Morgan be able to convince Tony that there is room in his life for her too, or will his desire to make things right push her away?
Taryn is a USA Today Bestselling Author who is also a lover of books and wine, usually enjoying them together. Writing has been a way for her to step away from chaotic reality and live a bit through her fun and sometimes damaged characters. You will almost always find a Happy Ever After at the end of her stories. She can't help it, it's an addiction. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, but cherishes those quiet nights after everyone is asleep when she can curl up on the couch to read with her geriatric dog. (Shh, don't tell...He's not supposed to be on the couch.)
I love Tony!!! I do believe he's my favorite. Is it the tattoos? Maybe. Could it be they piercings? Perhaps. But this big 'ol hunk of yummy goodness has a heart of gold that made me fall hard. I loved Morgan and her sassiness in the other books, so I couldn't help but adore her even more in this book.
Another great story that I couldn't put down. This was a perfect ending to the series. I'm going to miss all of these characters!
I FINALLY got Tony secrets. I was not expecting that but am floored by his strength. His task was not easy but he accomplished it with a BAM and a bad ass Morgan by his side. I don't want the family of Chrome to go away but what a way to go out, together with promises.
I LOVED this book by Taryn now I am awaiting her next project.
Tony's story was highly anticipated and I was not disappointed. We finally find out about the mysterious tattooed bad boy who actually has the kind, sweet soul. I love him! Morgan? Yes, the sassy, take no shit Morgan is his girl. The perfect couple! Making Amends is about finding your place, your "family", and love. It is a reminder that your family is what you make of it.
If you've never read a book by Taryn Plendl, you are truly missing out. Taryn has a way of writing characters that you immediately love (or hate). The character development is done amazingly by snarky, sarcastic, amusing and all casual dialogue. These are your friends, your family and your coworkers. I enjoy and love this book and series and am sad to see it end. I look forward to what Taryn brings us next. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting. Thank you for the Chrome Series and bringing love, laughter and new friends into our literary lives! Reviewer from Saucy Books
I love this series! This book made it all the better. It made for the perfect quick read while I relaxed poolside on Mother's Day. It was great to catch up with the charcters of the Chrome series and learn more about the mysterious Tony and the ever-sassy Morgan.
I love this series. Chrome feels like family. Tony who works the bar at Chrome and stumbles upon Morgan one night. Tony has a huge secret and tries to keep Morgan away from him and his problem. But Morgan slowly works her way into Tonys world. Family isn't always blood but the people you let into your life can be your family. This is a great story and series.
