So I was lucky enough to Beta read this and honestly I’m so glad I did… I have been in a slight slump so this pulled me right out of it …. 4.75 ⭐ I just loved book one slightly more
The book continues where we left off with Riley, she’s had a lot of trauma and torture at the end of the first book and is dealing with a hell of a lot of emotions that she is refusing to deal with at the time. So she is angry she is snappy and she is not trusting Brax or Derek. She is on her own mission to get revenge on Lauren and liora and learn more about her heritage. Along the way we stumble into a lovely neutral town that is protected from the curse which houses all species and protects humans.
This book is a little slow to start, as we are dealing with a lot of feelings and she is learning more about what she can do, but the character development has you in this from the get go. All the characters are so well written and so relatable that you enjoy learning about them more in depth each time.
The story is easy to follow along as the writing is good and flows naturally throughout, and it’s so interesting and never a dull moment as there is always new information and new secrets waiting to come out…. Some due to Poppy 🤣
The romance is yearning and tension heavy and my days it’s glorious… Brax is the tender and sweet love interest which will also protect his girl…. And Derek is the sarky little bugger that you just can’t help laugh and join in with… they both bring out different things for Riley and for the story.
Honestly fabulous book one of my favorite shifter books. And I have just had the very best time again in this book even while dealing with the trauma. The ending again is just a wooow moment which makes you want the next book even more.

This is a great continuation. This is one of those stories that you start and the next thing you know it's 3:00 a.m. I may or may not be speaking from experience. Lol
From chapter 1, I could feel Riley's sense of grief and betrayal. My heart hurt so bad for her from everything that she had endured in book one. Now, having to cope with learning to be a shifter and her sister's death, Riley is struggling. Not trusting Brax or Derek, she sets off to get revenge on Lauren and Liora and to learn more about her magic. Brax and Derek follow her.
We finally get to know Derek in this installment. Where Brax is sweet, kind, and loving, Derek is more banter, fire, and passion.
However, the number of times that I wanted to smack Brax and Derek for not realizing part of a problem was because Riley didn't know something because she didn't grow up as a shifter was staggering.
I also got a good chuckle out of Sadie and Sera trying to give Riley "the sex talk" (werewolf style).
The ending of book 2 is just as captivating as the first book with more twists and turns. I can't wait for book 3.

Much like the first book, A Coven of Blood took you on an adventure filled with shifters, witches, and now vampires. As Riley struggles to come to terms with the loss of her sister, she must also deal with the 2 shifters she is with and what they are to her. Add into that, the ongoing discovery of what exactly she is drives this adventure. Pain, horror, fear, love, longing, friendship, and rage is again all present in this book. As she learns to adjust to another new place, The Crimson Coven in Hopewell becomes a home of sorts to Riley as she forges new friendships and relationships with Brax and Derek. This one has it all again. A wonderful read that kept me on the edge of my seat all 504 pages of it. Looking forward to #3 for sure!!!

Loved this second half instalment of the series. It is little more slow paced than the first book in the series. But Riley, the fmc, is angry and hurt and the storyline stays true and believable to this. The slow burn romance is still burning in this book. I can’t wait to see where book 3 takes our mating trio. The characters are well written and nicely complex and the world where humans, shifters and witches live is described i such detail that you can easily imagine every scene while reading.

I was lucky and fortunate to be a beta reader for this and …. WOW! Holy moly this was good. It’s a ‘just one more chapter’ kind of good. There are so many emotions and twists and turns, it was incredible!

Oooh the tension in this book, I gobbled it up 🤤 I just finished it but I wish I could read it again. It was lacking some action and I had guessed a lot of the plot developments but the relationships development made up for this. Can't wait to see where book 3 leads to! 4,5 ⭐

This book is sooo good! There were times I wanted to crawl into the story and smack the main characters, but things worked out. The cliffhanger isn't too terrible, but it left me antsy for the next one.

I couldn't put this book down. It was so good! The suspense, mystery, plot twists, and romance are all amazing. It's written so well. I can't wait for the next book!!
