My apartment flooded. So obviously, I moved in with three Alpha football players.
Temporary. Totally manageable. Absolutely not the beginning of my downfall.
Malik is my best friend—the smooth, steady quarterback I somehow forgot was fine as hell.
Zaire is the pretty-boy wide receiver who stays in my face, eats my food, and kisses even better than he talks shit.
And Rome? Huge. Quiet. Bearded. Defensive end. Apparently been wanting me this whole damn time.
Then my heat comes early.
Now I’m stealing hoodies, building a nest I refuse to call a nest, and discovering exactly how much trouble one Omega can get into with an entire pack determined to take care of her.
And the real problem?
My apartment is fixed.
I can go home.
I just don’t think I want to.
PACKED UP is a funny, filthy, low-angst Black Omegaverse why-choose romance featuring three Alpha college football players, one curvy Omega, forced proximity, best friends to lovers, enemies-to-lovers banter, nesting, scenting, pack bonding, found family, and an HEA.
This is a cute whychoose omegaverse college story about a college girl who is forced to live with her football quarterback friend and his two teammates/roomies for two weeks and a special attraction develops.
The author does a good job focusing on the characters and the relationships between them. But the author doesn’t explore their context well. For example, the FMC has one non-pack friend and she’s a very minor character. We don’t get a good sense of who the characters are outside of their relationship. If this was explored, I feel the story could have been richer.
Also this is an omega verse story. This was my first and so I didn’t fully grasp many of the references initially. I feel that the author expects you to have some background knowledge. I would have benefited from some more explanation.
Overall this is a nice story but I wish it was more developed and better explained the omegaverse.
4 years, Nyla danced around these 3 alphas for 4 years because she didn’t want to realize that her thoughts of bonding simply because she was an Omega would take away her independence was utter bull. Annoying, brooding, and there for her always-these men showed up. An unfortunate leak in her apartment with some very questionable smelly, colored water has her calling Malik, her very dependable bestie. Stress, living in the “pack house,” and coming to the realization that each one of these guys mean more to her than she ever realized has her stealing their clothes, climbing in their beds in the middle of the night, building a nest, and making a choice she never planned. I absolutely LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved how diverse these characters were but fit together so well. Happy Reading Y’all!💋
The wit this author has is top tier. This story has a bit if everything ... and it all meshes together for a good story. I laughed so much and I was sad it ended.
