Some books entertain you while you are reading them, but very few stay with you long after you have turned the last page. Alignment did exactly that for me.
Within the first couple of chapters, I was completely engulfed in the story. I couldn't put it down because I just had to know what was going to happen next. Every chapter pulled me in deeper, and I found myself constantly thinking, "Just one more chapter."
What amazed me most is that this is Peron's debut novel. The storytelling is masterfully done, with incredible attention to detail that made every scene feel vivid and every twist feel earned.
But what really sets this book apart is how it made me feel after I had finished it. I didn't just close the book and move on, I found myself sitting with it, reflecting on it, and trying to process everything I had just experienced. It challenged me, made me think, and stayed with me long after I had read the final page. To me, that's the sign of a truly great book.
Peron, I sincerely hope this is only the beginning. If this is what you can produce in your first novel, I can't wait to see what's next. I will be eagerly waiting for your next book, and you have absolutely gained a lifelong reader.

I found reading this book was hard work and quite a challenge to finish it. Having said that I did reach the end, hoping there would be an end, but no ! ...... story to be continued. I'll try to explain without revealing too much. The story begins with Jack witnessing an unusual event, nothing new for this lad. Jack is transported to a somewhat secret complex where he was questioned and observed. The cause of the unusual event is slowly revealed, but not completely. And there in, is the conundrum, the story is kept quite dark, and I kept waiting for the light to turn on. Maybe book 2 will be a bit more revealing, I was certainly kept interested throughout, but if like me you want to know the ending, you'll need to put another penny in the slot.

I must confess finishing this book was a chore. Trying to discern plot threads & wind thru the loaded technological verbage was not my cuppa at all.
A visit to the second in the series is a resounding no way from me!

Great story line, would make a great movie! Tense moments, my favorite was the corridor distance changing.

A thought provoking read. I enjoyed Jack's dry, logical thinking, and his no bs corporate shut downs
