While other girls seem to live in fairytales, Violet’s past has been more of a nightmare.
Abandoned and left to wither, she thinks she’ll be alone to the bitter end, until her elusive omega finally emerges. Just in time to meet her mate…
And seal their bond with a bite.
As Violet wakes from her fever dream, she discovers her new pack includes a charming thief, a feral alpha who doesn’t speak... and one overly kind, totally regretful pack leader.
Because, despite her claim, her half-bonded mate already has an omega—and Gideon is perfect.
Violet won’t allow herself to tear them apart. She’s determined to fix her mistake by disappearing—if only she can get the other alphas to let her go.
But as Gideon’s feelings for her change, suddenly the answer doesn’t seem so simple. Can she leave them? Does Gideon want her to?
The main plot of this, for me, was definitely the angst. A neglected FMC who finally gets rescued, but somehow still doesn’t get the love she deserves? That's real angst. My absolute favorite was Ryker. He’s such a big, broken softie when it comes to Violet. Their past and eventual reunion were so heartwarming 🥹 And Finn 😭🤍 His gestures were so sweet, and he was charming and funny in a way that Violet desperately needed.
I really would have liked to see more groveling from Gideon and Atlas because they needed to. They both knew Violet hadn’t done anything wrong, yet they still left her carrying so much pain. Even toward the end, I kept waiting for some grand gesture, but it came from the sweetest person of them all: Finn, who didn’t even do anything wrong.
There was definitely something missing, and for me, it was the chemistry between Atlas and Violet. I felt like it was almost nonexistent, and what was there felt more like pure lust. I also still felt like Gideon was selfish because, by the end of the book, he had fallen for Violet too, but at the beginning he didn’t want Atlas to be with her. It made me feel like a lot of the pain she endured was for nothing.
That being said, the book was so bingeable, just like all of Ari’s books, and I still really enjoyed it 🤍
Setting this one as DNF with no rating. For the most part, I don't really enjoy a lot of OV WC/RH stories where the pack already has an omega and the new omega (be it male or female) is not completely welcome.
Oh boy, this book had so much potential. I read all the way until the very end while hanging onto thin hope that atlas would redeem himself- spoiler- he didn’t.
First, atlas (pack lead) and Gideon are in a solid loving relationship where they are now free to explore their alpha-omega relationship as Gideon’s been hiding as an alpha due to his horrible family. Violets been locked away for 10 years, suffering as a beta, but on the day of her awakening she is also in the verge of death due to her “handler” being offed. So she’s left and forgotten until two of her scent matches show up and she accidentally bites atlas to unconsciously save herself. Atlas can now never bite Gideon as he’s being dying to do for over a decade. They have to keep violet close otherwise their half bond will cause pain. Atlas is does everything he can to not overstep or accept the bond. He verbally and physically rejects violet who just on the verge of death and locked away, touch starved and is actually the scent match to all the alphas in the pack
Violet is nothing but sweet and accommodating. She leaves the room if Gideon and atlas enter it. She does not whine or ask for Gideon even if her omega is crying out for his solid pack leader vibes. He in turn refuses to give her comfort and, above all else, making sure Gideon is constantly comforted and making his happiness #1 priority.
Direct quote from atlas “I could not love anyone more than I love you, Gideon.” And this is after he and violet had sorted out the pack mess and said I love yous… so? He obviously has a very toxic hierarchical relationship with them which is an ick for me 100%. Gideon had come to atlas and told him he’s attracted to violet and atlas doesn’t seem to want to even build a relationship with her after that. Even though the reason he’s been rejecting her and ignoring is now accepting the relationship he is still not going to fight for her either. He said “I’m going to get you what you want, little prince—what we both want.”
He so fiercely loves Gideon that violet is an afterthought. Violet and atlas never build a true relationship with sweet moments that are only for them, which every relationship needs. They only had a few spicy moments and their relationship because more “because of the bond” than because he actually gave a shit about her.
This fmc who has been solid and sweet deserved nothing but caring mates who gave 110% and instead we have a lackluster scent match who chose another omega over her repeatedly and even the decision to finally mate and bite her was the love of his life’s decision, who he regards above all else.
Even when atlas and violet had sex, Gideon was there. When he finally tied the bond? He was knotted inside GIDEON. And when violet and atlas knotted for the first time, Gideon decided it was the best moment to see if one of violets scent match was down to fuck for the first time- to test him out? Give him a spin? Idk they had only platonic relationships before that. And when atlas saw another alpha with HIS omega, he got jealous and aggressive with Gideon, WHILE knotted in violet for the first time. Something that should’ve been special for them was overshadowed because Gideon made the moment about Gideon. Also side note: Gideon threw a huge tantrum when atlas brought Violet home- not even considering how to make a grim situation better for her. He wasn’t open minded to let atlas get to know his scent match but when Gideon wanted to be intimate with another alpha, he immediately said yes. Atlas allows Gideon grace to explore intimacy but he didn’t offer the same in return?
I wish this pack had just broken apart and violet kept her devoted mates- Finn and Ryker, and Gideon and atlas on their own. This book was doing so well until there was no groveling, no I’m sorry for the way I treated you, no change to their hierarchy in who atlas loved more because it was clearly Gideon. Violet was just a hole for atlas to sooth his pain from the half bond. I wanted atlas to step up and show his emotions and build a quiet friendship with her at least build a relationship that cane be stable to build more on. Their foundation was so weak and there is no coming back from that. Violet should’ve set higher standards and not let anyone treat her like a second option.
Quotes that pissed me off even more
(Violet) In truth, for a moment, I forgot Gideon and I aren’t alone. We both whip our heads to face the alpha on his knees beside us. His dark eyes are full of tender affection as he runs them over the man inside me… and then to me, as well. (Always looking for Gideon first to ask permission then looking at Violet once he gets permission)
(Violet) Shame joins the roil inside me when I realize where my Omega is trying to go—around the corner, to the door on the right. Into the Omega Suite that isn’t mine. The voice in my middle doesn’t care how much he doesn’t belong to me; she just wants Atlas. … I just want Atlas. (Again she is hurting so much for him and he’s sleeping next to Gideon right now not giving a single fuck.)
Violet makes atlas and Gideon breakfast even though she’s hurting and rejected. She wants Gideon to be happy ….
A soul-deep sort of certainty clicks into place. I’m pretty sure Atlas is mistaken. I don’t think she was trying to show him she understands why he has to reject her. I think she gave this to us so I could see how much this man clearly adores me. Sharp edges and all. She wants me to believe—because she thinks I deserve to.
They realize they put her in a tiny ass closet room while they live in a literal mansion —I stand just inside the threshold, looking around for the first time since we moved in. Hell and damnation. The room is comically—or, perhaps, cruelly—small, given the size of the rest of the house. I never really considered the square footage, but this space could fit in my Omega Suite five times over. With spare room left for cartwheels.
But, goddamn, does Violet try. She never lingers. If Atlas wanders into the living room while she’s scribbling in her sketchbook, she silently walks out with her head down. If the two of us come into the kitchen while she’s baking, she abandons her baking until we leave or turns the oven off altogether. She’s never whined for his attention, attempted to sit next to him, or so much as raised her eyes to his without prompting—even during the delicious dinner she made for us last week.
And this one I think pissed me off most of all. This is Atlas
“None of this is her fault. I’ve barely been kind to her. She’s touch-starved and too scared to ask me for help. Even if she had the courage… I’d say no. I’d have to say no. My throat is dry, but I can’t swallow. My chest heaves, but I don’t seem to be breathing. I’ve been so focused on making this okay for Gideon, I didn’t stop to think about what that would actually mean. Rejecting her. Actively acknowledging her needs and turning away. Knowing how to help but choosing not to. It goes against every fiber of my being. The same way touching her and hurting Gideon would. But I can’t have both of them. And I made a vow—one that I anchored to the bottom of my soul long before Violet’s tether wove itself into the place beside it.”
FUCKING DISGRACE TO CALL THIS A WHY CHOOSE!! Could've been amazing but author unfortunately COMPLETELY RUINED IT by adding MM. Atlas and Gideon can FUCKKKK OFFFFFFF this is why MM in why choose is the WORSTTTTT and ruins the whole fucking genre
DNF technically but I’m counting it as a read because I didn’t put all that work in for nothing. 😒 I just can’t finish it. I’m too pissed. There was two different couplings going on until right at the 72% mark. This was Gideon and Atlas basically saying “if you can’t beat em, join em.” And it pissed me off. It felt like the reason they were getting with the FMC at all was because it was the most convenient option for them. And that makes me so mad because I ADORED Ryker and Finn.
This girl had literally just got rescued from being locked away after years of basically torture and malnourished and hadn’t had water in way too long. And Gideon goes and calls her a “Bitch” in his head and then continues to be an absolute dick to her. Knowing that this woman has been through some shit, he didn’t even give her a SINGULAR day to chill out before he started walking around all “fee fi fo fum that’s my bean stalk” staking his claim and making this woman feel 10x worse than she already did. What the actual fuck. And Atlas is just going along with it all. He’s perfectly content sitting on the sidelines while this all happens. I hate them.
I have rated all of Ari Wright’s omegaverse books as 5 stars so I was legitimately shocked by much I hated this book. I almost DNF’d so many times but I kept going because I couldn’t believe that I would hate a book written by this author when she’s one of my favorite omegaverse authors 😩
Unfortunately the men were pretty horrible. The lead alpha, Atlas, sucks and allowed the omega heroine, Violet, to suffer and be neglected to appease the jealous male omega, Gideon.
She didn’t have other options and have to rely on this pack but I swear they were so cruel to her. Violet was neglected and rejected over and over and over and over and over and over again—
To the point that her HEALTH SUFFERS from it. Then they neglected and rejected her some more.
There was zero groveling done. Near the end, they decided they want her after all and they lived happily ever after.
The cruelty was mostly from Atlas and Gideon but the other two alphas were too weak to help and protect Violet.
I truly abhor the horrific treatment of Violet and it’s so unfair she gets to stay in an awful AWFUL pack who abused her and was never EVER sorry for it.
This would of been a 5 star if it was done right unfortunately it wasnt. After reading bound to the beast I had huge expectations for this and unfortunately it didnt hit like it should have. Some authors nail the double omega unfortunately this wasnt it,
There's being nice but then there just letting them get away with hurting her and not making them grovel.
For how much trauma she had, none really seem to take note of that or in atlas and Gideon case not care,
I really wish violet left even just for a few days or week so atlas/Gideon realised how much she meant to them,
I wish finn and ryker had more issus with atlas for leaving and rejecting violet over and over again even finn needing more support on courting violet he didnt get that, i wish that violet would choose finn and ryker more because they had never rejected or been cruel so that atlas and Gideon had to work for her forgiveness,
So atlas and Gideon didnt do any grand gesture even tho they have been horrible to violet, that was a disappointment.

oh my sweet Violet 🥹I absolutely love her and the entire pack. my gawds 😭
every single character has a piece of my heart 🫶🏼 Their complex histories, the dynamics and frayed friendships. She truly healed all of them while simultaneously allowing them to help her heal from her traumas.
gideon, my sweet baby ✋🏼😭 my heart hurt for him so much but when everything clicked together I felt such pride for him ✨
thank you so much smuthood PR and Ari Wright for this gifted earc 🩷
I took one for the team with this series. Twice. At this point, if I pick up another book by this author, someone needs to physically intervene.
I was SO excited for this one because the premise sounded like it had been handcrafted in a lab specifically for me. Two omega pack? YES. Male omega? EVEN BETTER. Naturally occurring MM relationship within the pack? Inject it directly into my veins.
Instead, I got... whatever this was.
The first problem hit me almost immediately: the writing. It felt incredibly choppy and strangely juvenile, like every sentence was tripping over itself. And for the love of all things holy, can authors please stop talking directly to the reader? I absolutely despise the whole "breaking the fourth wall" thing in books. Every time it happened it yanked me right out of the story. I'm here to disappear into your world, not have you wink at me every other page.
But honestly? Even if the writing had been better, I just... didn't care.
About the characters. About the romance. About the pack. About literally anything that was happening.
I kept waiting for that moment where I'd suddenly become invested because the trope itself is one of my favorites, but it never came. The chemistry wasn't chemistrying, the emotional connections didn't land, and everything just felt... flat.
I also ended up reading some reviews after I DNF'd, and they pretty much confirmed what I'd already been feeling. As someone who reads a LOT of omegaverse, I could tell the pack dynamics weren't clicking, and readers who finished the book confirmed that the pack relationships and dynamics were handled really poorly. Considering the entire appeal of this trope IS the pack... that's kind of a massive problem.
And then...
THE LONG HAIR.
One of the MMCs has long hair that he wears in a man bun.
Strike one.
Then another MMC literally describes it as grimy.
EXCUSE ME???
How exactly am I supposed to find this man attractive when you've just told me his hair looks like it hasn't met shampoo since the Obama administration? It wasn't my thing to begin with—I have a well-documented personal vendetta against long-haired men—but calling it grimy somehow made it infinitely worse. My attraction didn't just disappear. It filed for a restraining order.
I was gagging spiritually.
The daddy kink also did absolutely nothing for me. I'm not into it generally, but I've read books where it's done incredibly well. It can work. It can be hot.
This...
This was not one of those books.
Every time it came up I just felt secondhand embarrassment instead of butterflies.
At this point I think I've accepted that the one book by this author I genuinely enjoyed was a complete fluke. I hated the last book in this series, and now I've DNF'd this one. That's enough evidence for me.
Okay, so I shoulda guessed it had M/M in it because if the picture on the front but it didn't say in the triggers so that came as a surprise. Also, it says it has no cheating, which is technically true but there is a 10 year relationship going on before Violet gets there... so there is that. I didn't like this book compared to the other books in this series. I hate books that already have an on-going thing in them anyway and because it was m/m that made it worse. I don't mind m/m but i am so sick of every single r/h or omegaverse having it in it. Enough already jusy make it about the woman. So for me, that just spoilt the whole book. The characters are meh. I think I like violet out of all of them but didn't really like any of the guys but it could have been because of the whole m/m thing so wasn't really feeling it from the get go. Disliked Atlas so much so I started skipping his chapters along with Gideon... they are the a absolute worst and I 💯 think Violet, Ryker and Finn should have left those two on their own. This book focused too much on the other omega, i don't think Violet got the pack she deserved to be honest. Honestly of the follow on books are like this I won't read them, which is ashame because the others are fab. This was a NO from me.
I loved this book!! Tangled is one of my favorite animated stories so I was so excited to see what Ari Wright would do to make the story her own.
“You’re the most beautiful woman in the world, Violet. Inside and out. Getting to be with you like this, part of you—it’s everything.”
Violet was such an unbelievably kind and strong FMC. She went through so much hardship and pain but still at her center, she was a protector. She always put her wants, needs, and desires on a back burner to keep others safe.
I loved getting to see Violet come out of her shell and be around men that slowly but surely let her know it was okay to put herself first.
The guys were all great. Ryker was hands down my favorite. This man, y’all. The connection that he has with his ‘Daisy’ is honestly indescribable. I absolutely loved every single special moment between them.
“Because if appreciating how it feels to be whole again means having to relive the pain of the days I wasn’t? I’ll take it that bargain. A million times over.”
This was a double omega story so it was really fun to see Gideon fall in love with Violet. Atlas’ character was so similar in personality to Violet. He would break himself before hurting the ones he loved. Their story was a slow burn but well worth the wait!
“No, Vi,” he says, lifting our entwined hands. Spinning me into a twirl. “You’re dancing in the rain.”
Shoutout to Finn for being so cute! He was a broken boy, but he fell so hard! His heart was all in, he just had to learn how to show his love.
“You’ve lit up our world, firefly,” he says. “We thought it was only fair if we did the same for you, tonight.”
This story was just so special! If you love omegaverses, I can’t recommend this one enough!
Tropes: 🎀 Rapunzel Inspired 💖 Why Choose Omegaverse ✨ Omega Awakening 🫶🏼 Forced Proximity ❤️🩹 Hurt x Comfort ✌🏼 Two Omegas 💔 Broken Men 🩵 Found Family 🐾 Animal Sidekicks
This Omegaverse brought something fresh to non-shifter Omegaverse. The omega was part of the person … but separate. Great wringing and a really good book 🫶🏻
This was an emotional, slow-building omegaverse that perfectly balanced heartbreak, healing, found family, and romance. Violet has been through more than anyone should ever have to endure, and watching her slowly learn that she deserves love, safety, and a place to belong made every chapter impossible to put down.
The relationships felt genuine, with each of the MMCs bringing something unique to the pack. Finn was charming and impossible not to love, Ryker was the quiet, feral protector whose actions spoke louder than words, Atlas was the steady presence holding everyone together, and Gideon… Gideon absolutely shattered my heart. His internal conflict, loyalty, and growing feelings for Violet created so much emotional tension that I was rooting for everyone to find happiness.
What I loved most was that this wasn’t just a romance. It was a story about healing from trauma, learning to trust, and discovering that family isn’t always the one you’re born into. The emotional moments hit just as hard as the swoony ones, making every victory feel well earned.
If you love: ✨ Reverse harem/why choose ✨ Omegaverse ✨ Hurt/comfort ✨ Found family ✨ Protective alphas ✨ Slow-burn romance ✨ Emotional healing ✨ Cinnamon roll meets feral protector energy
…then this book deserves a spot at the top of your TBR.
I laughed, I teared up, I fell in love with this entire pack, and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye when I turned the last page. An unforgettable read that wrapped itself around my heart and refused to let go.
Thank you to the Author / author services for this ARC in return for an honest review.
4 / 4.5 stars for this book - I'm undecided at this stage at where I would place this, but it's floating between these two.
I adored this book, Ari Wright's writing is unlike anything I've read before, a lot of the language used within this isn't my day to day, so I did have to look a few things up so I completely understood what was going on, but honestly, I didn't even mind doing that - it added so much to the story the way things were worded differently to what is commonly used.
Lets start with Violet, man on man I wish I could give her a hug, but she doesn't need one from me, she has 4 amazing guys alongside her to do that for me - each of the men in this Omegaverse were truly something special to behold, in their own special ways they brought Vi back to life, and helped her get her life back... The trauma & depth you can see behind these characters really plays a big part in them, moving forward as a unit, and I loved every second of watching them all figure it out.
It truly was an incredible book, and I liked it so much I'm going back and reading the other books in the Royalverse (I'm working backwards lol)
I've seen others comment on this so I'll add my two cents... its not your typical RH because in the beginning it has strict MM happening - you'll have to read it to find out what I mean and how things develop... anyway, I had a great time reading this one!
I’m loving this series!!! This one made you feel ALL of the feels….at one point I felt bad for every character….each one brought something different to the table….just remember “two things can be true at the same time” we definitely learned that lesson Violet had a really rough start in life….she was put in a bad situation early on….made to behave or they would take her sister too….then the one person she felt closest to was ripped away from her & he was made to believe she had died….you couldn’t help but feel the tug for all involved Fortunately she was found but she wasn’t doing great…then her story gets a little worse….she went from fighting for her life to feeling like she was a problem for all involved…. Don’t worry….Violet & her pack get their HEA but the road to get there was long & twisty
Listen, I always have a great time with Ari’s books. This wasn’t my favorite of them all, but I still had a good time.
I loved the Tangled references (pet named Pascal!) and I loved how sweet (some) of the MCs were with her. The whole nesting scene was adorable to me.
I’m not sure if it was just my mood at the time? I try to always leave a bit of wiggle room for that… but I found some of our characters to be a little too… whiny doesn’t feel like the right word but the right vibe? These definitely had some complications within the pack dynamics, and the way it was worked out was interesting to me, but did cause me to feel a little off on a few of the characters during different moments.
Thank you to The Smuthood for proving me with an early copy!
I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fun omegaverse twist on rapunzel!! I loved Violet and her whole story was everything! The guys fit her and she fits them, finding their HEA was perfection. If you love omegaverse, rapunzel retellings, forced proximity, hurt x comfort, found family (and so much more), then you definitely need to pick this one up!
Thank you to the author and Luna Literary for the gifted e-copy.
“I don’t need Gideon, the way I might with my alpha mates. I want him, in the purest, truest way.”
This leaned pretty heavily into the movie Tangled. I thought it was cute that the animals were named Maximus and Pascal. This makes reference to characters and events in ““Bound to the Beasts” so while it can be read as a standalone it would be beneficial to read that book with all the character cross-overs and previous events.
Vibes: Tangled but make it omegaverse
Tropes: Omegaverse Half-bond Two Omegas Mates Abandonment and Abuse (not by MMCs)
4.4 stars. This was sooo cute. I loved the little details from ‘Tangled’ that Ari added throughout. So sweet. I also really enjoyed everyone’s growth throughout the book. So respectful, and loving.
I'm so fucking disappointed with this author. She has written great why choose without MM and now she delivers this; an absolute disaster where the MM couple is completely irredeemable and should NOT have been a part of the group. The way the FMC is treated without any proper groveling is absolutely unforgiveable. I will NOT read another Ari Wright book ever again.
Thanks so much for the ARC! I loved book one in this series and was excited to revisit! This was the first book I have read with two omegas and the two omegas themself I loved separately and their character growth they had. There is so many growth opportunities we got to see with all members of the pack besides the pack alpha. I almost felt like that was a character backslide how he moved within the pack and with “his” omegas. I think if that was more believable/explored ON page that could have increased my enjoyment overall! Overall still and enjoyable read!!
Violet's whole life has read like the sad opening chapter of somebody else's fairytale, abused, abandoned, isolated, waiting for a biology that never seemed to be coming. Then her omega finally shows up, hard, sealing a bond bite mid fever dream before she's even conscious enough to weigh in on the concept. She wakes up with a pack she didn't ask for, Finn, a thief with more charm than boundaries, Ryker, a feral alpha who says everything except actual words, and Atlas, the pack leader she's apparently just half-bonded herself to. One small problem. Atlas already has an omega, Gideon, and by every account Gideon is perfect, which means Violet's entire plan becomes get out before she wrecks something good. Getting the other alphas to actually let her leave is one obstacle. Gideon's own feelings shifting in a direction nobody scripted is a much bigger one.
What actually worked is that double-omega tangle. Gideon could have been written as a jealous obstacle and instead gets a real arc, the found family texture between all five of them earns its tenderness rather than assuming it, and Ryker saying more with silence than most alphas manage with a monologue is genuinely well done. The spice earns its rating. Ari Wright is clearly having the time of her life with this pack and it shows.
Where it lost a star was execution, not concept. The prose leans on italics to do the emotional heavy lifting so often that entire pages start reading like they're being yelled at me, and even split across multiple POVs, Violet's actual healing arc stayed frustratingly surface level, more narrated at me than felt. I wanted the book to sit in her trauma one beat longer than it was willing to.
Trope Chaos Check ✨ Omegaverse, omega awakening (her whole biology rebooted overnight and immediately picked a stranger) ✨ Why choose, reverse harem MMFMM (four alphas and an omega, all with opinions) ✨ Double omegas (Gideon was already happy. Gideon did not stay simply happy) ✨ Accidental fated mate bond (consent forms were unavailable mid fever dream) ✨ Found family healing arc
★★★★☆, a pack romance with real heart, real heat, and a genuinely concerning italics habit.
Violet broke my heart from the very first chapter. After a lifetime of abandonment, neglect, and believing she was never meant to have a happily ever after. All she wants is to disappear before she hurts the people she's just found. Watching someone who has spent their entire life believing they're unworthy slowly learn what safety, acceptance, and unconditional love actually feel like...yeah babes…I wasn't emotionally prepared for that.
And this PACK.😭 Every single one of them brought something different to Violet's healing.
🌼 Ryker was the one who absolutely stole my heart. This giant, feral alpha barely needed words because every action screamed, "You're safe with me." The connection between him and Violet was so beautifully tender that I found myself smiling through tears.
🖤 Gideon had me completely conflicted. His loyalty, his guilt, and his struggle to navigate feelings he never expected made every chapter feel heavier.
✨ Atlas is the steady heartbeat of the pack the calm when everything else feels like chaos.
💛 And Finn…He brought the light. The humor. The warmth. The little moments that reminded everyone including Violet that joy still exists after surviving unimaginable pain.
This story is about learning that trauma doesn't define you. That family can be chosen. That sometimes the people who find you completely broken don't try to fix you they simply love you until you remember how to put yourself back together.
By the end, I wasn't crying because I was sad... I was crying because watching someone finally believe they deserve love is one of the most beautiful things to witness.🥹🫶🏾
Babes, this one belongs on your TBR immediately.
Because sometimes the greatest love story isn't about finding your mates...It's about finally believing you're worthy of being loved in the first place.
This was hands down my favorite book in the series! This one had so much emotional depth, it felt much more angsty and a bit somber compared to the other books.
Violet and Ryker’s stories were deeply emotional, you could feel the character’s pain and devastation so clearly. I genuinely had an emotional knot in my throat for about 80% of the book.
The writing was absolutely phenomenal! I highlighted so much in this book, there were so many important and heavy moments that were pivotal in the characters growth and story development.
This was the most fairytale out of all the books, you could clearly see the story of Tangled throughout the entire book. The frying pan always made me chuckle, while the lanterns just made me cry (happy tears this time).
I loved Gideon and Atlas’s relationship, I wish we got to see more of them as a couple! Finn was such a sweetheart, he held so much anxiety and insecurity under the surface. Ryker, I wanted to give that poor baby a hug. I adored him, my heart absolutely shattered when we learned more about his backstory. Violet was very soft and quiet, she was an incredibly selfless character who put other’s comfort and security before her own at all times. I don’t usually love the softer FMCs but Violet was an exception.
Overall, this book was fantastic! I do wish we got a bit more on page time with them all together as a pack, honestly I think I just didn’t want this book to end.

Ari Wright has become an automatic-read author for me because she somehow manages to take familiar fairy tales and turn them into something that feels completely fresh. Tangled Up in Knots is no exception.
This story absolutely wrecked me in the best way. Violet is the kind of heroine you can't help but ache for. She's spent so long believing she isn't worthy of love or a place to belong that watching her slowly begin to trust the people around her had my heart in a chokehold.
And this pack? I adored them. Every member brings something different to the story, and I loved watching all of those relationships develop instead of everything happening at once. The pack dynamics felt layered and genuine, with plenty of protective, "touch her and perish" energy balanced by some incredibly tender moments.
One of my favorite parts was the two-omega dynamic. I honestly don't think I've read anything quite like it before, and Ari Wright handled it in a way that added so much emotional depth to the story. Nothing about this relationship felt easy, but that's exactly what made it so rewarding.
The Omegaverse elements are everything I love: awakening, first heat, nesting, found family, healing, and a pack that slowly becomes home. But underneath all of that is a story about learning that you deserve to be loved exactly as you are, and that message landed just as hard as the romance. If you're looking for an emotional Omegaverse that delivers hurt, healing, protective alphas, unique pack dynamics, and characters you'll want to wrap in a blanket and never let go, this one absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR.
Ari Wright did it again, and I already can't wait for whatever she writes next.
Thank you, Smuthood and Ari, for letting me ARC read and review Tangled Up In Knots! I've been an avid reader of Ari's previous books, MVP is one of my favourite series to read! I was a bit apprehensive with the Two Omega Trope. It's definitely not my favourite trope in omegaverse, unless it's done really well! I honestly couldn't get behind this plot of the book. The hatred from Gideon made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and the rejection from Atlas made me boil with rage. With Violet, you had this Omega, who'd spent her entire life in captivity, been abused throughout, consent taken away from her. On the point of death and her treatment from her so-called mate and another Omega was really hard to read. I think I rage read the first 60% of the book, and whilst Finn and Ryker were absolutely amazing and characters I could really get behind, and I adored how sweet and kind Violet was, the treatment from the other two characters isn't something I could enjoy and it took me out of the book more often than not. the reason I continued with the book, is definitely getting to see Ryker, Finn and Violet's story blossom, they deserved their happy ever after and it was really lovely to see the reunion of Briar and Violet!
Unfortunately, the grovel was nonexistent, and it really felt like all the blame was put onto Violet's character. As a survivor, it made me feel a bit icky! If I could remove those parts and wholly focus on Ryker, Finn, and Violet's story, it would definitely have been a top read for me.
I hope this book finds its people who wholeheartedly love it! ❤️
