💗 There’s no doubt that this story will top my romance reads for 2026.

I was so excited to find an author who not only gave her characters careers but also showed us the characters in those careers. She didn’t state that Quinn was a PT and get on with the story! I knew that Quinn McKenzie was a physical therapist because the author showed me who she was through her work. I saw why she excelled at her career, too. I wasn’t told!

Likewise, with Cade Sullivan, the Red Sox catcher. I understood a little more about what it was like to be an injured professional athlete; I wasn’t just told he was injured.

It didn’t take long for Cade to win me over; his vulnerability and respect for Quinn were immediately noted. I identified with his identity struggle because I took early retirement this year. I asked the same questions Cade asked himself. I noted the same attitude in people who pulled my strings, too. I’m glad Cade had a safe place to figure out who he was if he chose not to be the guy behind the plate. I’ve appreciated my safe place this year too.

❣ I’ll remember this book for three things:
1) An author who did plenty of SHOWING, not telling.
2) The question: “What do you want the rest of your life to look like?”
3) A love story that blossomed from unexpected circumstances.

I’ve just added this new-to-me author to my auto-read list!

Falling for her patient was never the plan. Cade is not only her patient, but also an old friend of her brother’s, which puts up barriers on all sides. Quinn is professional and is focused on making her patients better. Yet that doesn’t stop these two from forming a relationship when Cade ends up on her family’s ranch in order to recover from his injury.

Gracelynn Addy once again takes readers on a sweet and romantic journey as two people who shouldn’t work do. The risks of being together are high and could cost both of them their careers, but when love is involved, is there any risk not worth taking. In real life, yes, we would be screaming about red flags, but in the literary world, these tropes work and bring readers happiness.

I adored watching Cade and Quinn grow closer and closer together. Proving that first impressions are often wrong, these two, while total opposites, connect in a way that feels real, organic, and needed. An easy read that has a bit of drama, but a whole lot more love.

This is a clean romance.

Quinn is a physical therapist. She is very conscientious about her work and who she works with. She was burned once by a baseball player that she didn't want to go out with and he drug her name through the mud. She was recently tasked to work on and with Cade Sullivan, who plays for the Boston Red Sox. He is a fiend of her brother, however, she makes sure that this is strictly professional and make him sign a code of conduct. However, being in Boston is not helping them heal and Cade's doctor decides he needs quiet and suggests her family's ranch in Montana. Can they maintain the professional distance? Why does her boss seem to have it out for her?

This was a really good read and I didn't want to put it down. I liked the side characters (more books?) and how supportive Quinn's family was. I liked Quinn's boundaries and how Cade respected them. This is one of the books you just enjoy reading.

Falling for the Forbidden Catcher by Gracelyn Addy delivers a charming blend of sports romance, slow-burn chemistry, and the classic “opposites attract” dynamic that dragged me in. Set in the backdrop of professional baseball, we follow the story of the FMC Quinn, a dedicated physical therapist and the MMC Cade Sullivan, a professional baseball catcher and someone connected to her family. I enjoyed reading about how Cade brought a different energy to Quinn’s carefully controlled world. While he has the confidence and charm expected from a professional athlete, the story revealed a more thoughtful and respectful side of his personality. Overall, Falling for the Forbidden Catcher is a sweet and enjoyable romance for readers like me who love stories based off of professional sports, protective heroes, strong heroines, and relationships built on trust.

This is probably the most intense sports romance book I have ever read. A physical therapist (Quinn) who is 100% committed to giving the patient every possible chance for a perfect recovery. No jokes or indication that something is "good enough" when it comes to PT and the patient's healing. Cade, the injured catcher whose career is dependent on PT results, quickly becomes the perfect patient with 100%-no probably 110%-accurate, complete cooperation. The fact that the rehab was done on a farm in Montana instead of the Boston sports facility, proves the level of perfection and lack of distractions provided to have this injury be perfectly resolved. All protocols followed, 100% transparency, and perfect. Throughout it all a love was developing, along with trust and respect. A sports story unlike any other, and a perfect ending. Wonderful!

Quinn’s work as a physical therapist feels authentic, and Cade’s struggles as an injured Boston Red Sox catcher give his story real depth. Cade’s vulnerability and respect for Quinn’s boundaries stand out. The search for purpose after retirement is something many can relate to.

This clean romance features supportive family, wonderful side characters, and a sweet relationship that develops naturally. An enjoyable read.

This is such a cute book! Quinn is just trying to do her job and a physical therapist. She was burned by false accusations from a former patient. She goes to the extreme to make sure all ethics policies are followed and all documentation is complete. When she is asked to treat a patient off site (at her family property). she is stretched to her limit. Her patient is her brother's best friend. He is off limits personally and professionally. How will she manage to keep distance when they are under the same roof? What will happen when her ethics are questioned? Will he stand up for her or allow the acquisitions to win? One click and read this book and watch them find a HEA!

I received a digital ARC of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Quinn and Cade. Quinn is a physical therapist and Cade is a MLB catcher. He’s friends with her brother. She’s no nonsense and he’s all charm. She’s got high walls built up due to her past, and he thinks he’s patient enough to wait for them to crumble. Professional lines will not be crossed, she makes him sign that agreement before therapy can even start. But will Cade be able to chip away at those walls enough for Quinn to trust him? You’ll have to read to find out!

5/5 stars. Quinn and Cade were such a wonderful couple to root for! I loved Quinn's strong boundaries and how patiently and respectfully Cade earned her trust instead of trying to break down her walls. The forced proximity at the Montana ranch, supportive family, and lovable side characters made this clean romance impossible to put down. With heartfelt emotion, plenty of sweet moments, and just the right amount of tension, this was an enjoyable, feel-good read from beginning to end. Highly recommended for fans of clean sports romance!

A sweet, opposites attract, slow burn romance. Well written, entertaining and so easy to read. A cute story but not without a bit of drama where Cade is Quinn's brother's friend of off limits. I loved the respect they had for themselves and each other. Very entertaining secondary characters that will hopefully show up in future books. This was a great beginning to this new series with an enjoyable, laid back Montana ranch setting and fun baseball storyline. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys books of love, sports and romance.

I loved Cade and Quinn’s story. There was so much tension between the professional and personal flowing from every page. These two found each other in the everyday and saw the unique qualities the other possessed. The way they stood up for and beside other was inspiring. I enjoyed their ease and genuineness when they were together.

Heartfelt and Hopeful

This was such a sweet story. The strength of Quinn after all she went through is inspiring. She overcame a career ending obstacle and made herself even more. Cade is such a kind and patient man. He is so good with her and I love seeing his journey. This is well written and a sweet romance.
