Hunted by a deadly force. Trapped in the past. And falling for each other might be the most dangerous thing of all.
Sylvie and Penley are stuck in the past with no way home—and ignoring what's building between them is becoming impossible.
Sylvie's determined to fix the fractured timeline. But a cryptic warning changes everything: going home might kill them both.
Penley drowns his feelings in old habits—parties, distractions, anything to forget the witch who's gotten under his skin. But the more he runs, the more he risks losing his link to the future.
Then an old ally reveals a shocking secret—one that forces Penley to admit his connection to Sylvie runs far deeper than he's been willing to face.
Deeper than magic. More dangerous than desire.
When betrayals surface and their hunter closes in, staying in the past becomes a death sentence. The only way home requires trusting each other completely—and surrendering to what they've been fighting.
Can they outrun their enemy and their feelings—or will both destroy them first?
The tension escalates in Book 7 of this enemies-to-lovers romantasy trilogy.
Part of the Magical Mate series. Read Books 6-8 as a standalone or start with Abby's story in Book 1.

Great second book in the series things are heating up with all the things happening with sylvie and Penley and mix in Lucio ! Just when you think things couldn’t get worse it does ! Can’t wait for the last book to find out what happens and the proper reason behind it all / what’s right and what’s wrong !
A fun and enjoyable read, with the action now set mostly in Victorian London, which made an interesting change. The main protagonists are as fiery as usual, with the mutual attraction becoming quite significant! One thing I really enjoyed about this particular book in the series was the contrast between the 'main' characters in the past, and the ones left in the present day. I found the change of tempo, time and geography, to really add something to this book. But back to the difficult duo, and I do think anyone who loves books about the paranormal, witches, or just compelling will they/won't they romance books, will love this book. Best read as part of the series, or at least start with book 6.
They need to find a seer and fast. Have they caused time tares throughout time. Have they destroyed life as they know it? Who is causing all this mayhem and why? A good quick read.
