The ending of this one had me on the edge of my seat!
I thought the author did a pretty decent job of injecting tension, though I did think that some things happened a little too easily for the main character.
It was such a minor detail, but Kate and her first husband’s first date was so dang sweet!

As I'm fond of reading thriller stories, I decided to start with "High Wire" by Kam Majd. I found it an excellent thriller. There are so many unexpected twists that I couldn't put it down.
The story revolves around Kate, a female captain who finds herself in a crossroad. On one side, she faces dreadful weather conditions that put her passengers and crew in danger; on the other, she faces a virtual threat inside the plane. Not only must she cope with those tough situations, but also with the co-pilot who does everything to bother her. It's not a simple situation but Kate strives to do what's best for the plane's safety.
This is an exciting story with a truly courageous female character. I liked the way the tense and dangerous situations are told because I felt inside the chaos and danger. It's a well-written, really enthralling story with well-portrayed characters. I definitely recommend it.

High Wire by Kam Majd is a page turner novel which revolves around Captain Kate Gallagher who piloted a plane through a blizzard and a computer malfunction. The next day they are calling it the disaster a pilot error. Kate is now in the race to clear her name and at the same time prevent another tragedy which will end up like the same outcome as her previous flight if she doesn't take the pilot seat and outwit the enemy. It is a suspense thriller up in the air. Kate is resourceful, wise and has quick thinking skills. I would love to have her as a pilot for whatever plane I will board. It's like reading “Speed” but up in the air. The characters are very engaging, a little melodramatic at times but entertaining all the same

I really enjoy reading airplane related books and stories. On this occasion, the protagonist, Captain Kate Gallagher, has a great dilemma: turn the plane or trust her instincts. His plane is contaminated with a computer virus, which refuses to respond to his orders. Added to the fact that his partner, the co-pilot, does not collaborate much.
In this type of story, I love to see the metamorphosis that the characters undergo and the decisions that they must make. I like it because although we are talking about fiction, they are situations that can occur in real life. I certainly applaud the author's skill when it comes to storytelling in creating this story. I look forward to more books like these in the future.

“High Wire” by Kam Majd is a captivating and resourceful book and work of art. The attack on planes is one of the most entertaining subjects for me personally. That is why I found this book so mesmerizing. Yes, it’s fiction. But it is written in a way that you will forget about fiction vs. reality. You will just be so absorbed into the plot that you won’t have the time or the capacity to remind yourself that it is not happening to you. The main character Kate Gallagher is captain of the plane that was chosen to be attacked by a dangerous computer virus that can and wants to kill everyone on board. And it is her job to save the lives of innocent people. Loved it!

High Wire by Kam Majd is a suspenseful thriller that I will recommend for sure. The book tells the story of Kate, a pilot, who finds herself in a quiet challenging situation. In a dangerous move, she saves the aircraft and its passengers. However, she is wrongly accused of the incident. Kate tries to clear her name and uncover a plot to use the virus that controlled her plane, on another plane. To prevent an accident, Kate puts herself in danger when boarding the second plane.
All along the narrative, I felt trapped by the story, the author did a wonderful job with the description of events and feelings of the characters. Thanks to this, I felt I was part of each scene. It was a long time since I was last captivated by a book in this way.

Couldn´t put the book down! It's amazing from the very beginning to the last page! High Wire is a very interesting story written by the award-nominated author Kam Majd. The book tells the story of Kate, a pilot who faced a risky situation when flying her plane and it started to fail due to a computer virus. She managed to save the airplane and its passengers but found herself accused of the incident. Her struggles to save herself from this false charge would be even harder than her odyssey to rescue the aircraft and its crew. The book is packed with action and mysterious situations. In my opinion, Kam Majd did an amazing job at writing a good thriller that grabs your attention since the first page, as you read, you discover thing you would not have imagined. Also, from this book you are going to get a great ending.

“High Wire” by Kam Majd has an incredibly intriguing plot. It centers around a strong female protagonist – a pilot who crashes after a computer virus infects her plane. While she is blamed for the crash, she discovers that it is, in fact, a malicious virus that has been released deliberately. The book could have been so good if only the plot paid a bit more attention to credibility. Obviously, authors can take some liberty with facts, but since this story is set in “our world,” it should be more believable and factually accurate than it is. It’s still a fast-paced read, so if you don’t care too much about believability, you may still enjoy the concept.

I have just finished this marvelous tale. It was a real page-turner and kept me engrossed throughout.
The descriptions of the scenery were very evocative and they prove the author has a real gift. I consider this thriller an absolute masterpiece. I sat down with it at 9 pm one night and I could not tear my eyes away, and here I am at 11 pm today, with a new favorite read under my belt that I have just finished.
Suspense and mystery are sustained throughout the book thanks to the author's employment of techniques and figures of speech that make the narrative move easily, fast, and at a perfect pace for these kinds of tales.

Wow, from the very first dramatic page High Wire sucks you right in. The book starts with a tricky plane landing, told from the Captain's point of view. Many of us have that moment where we hold our breaths until the plane is safely on the ground, which is probably why the beginning of this book is so gripping. The story continues with the aftermath of that initial opening event (I don't want to spoil it, even though it takes place right at the beginning), with the tension continuing just enough to keep you reading. The writing is well done and the characters are likable and relatable. I highly recommend this book!

Thrillers are some of my favourite kinds of books, but I think it is sometimes difficult to find good ones. This is not the case since this book is fantastic. High Wire written by Kam Majd is a spine-tingling suspenseful story that hooked me from the beginning. Kate is a very respected pilot who now has to clear her name and save people on the way.
Written with a straightforward style, the plot flows smoothly and raises mystery and intrigue until the last page. The scenes are very well described and the dialogues are constructred in a way that are realistic and interesting. I liked this novel and I would recommend it.

I just recently discovered Kam and read High Wire. It was witty and irreverent but also outstanding; without any doubt 5 stars all the way.
To start with, the plot is full of shockingly unexpected twist and turns which made me feel anxious to know more about the dark plan that someone was designing to destroy many lives. I think that in more than one opportunity, I was breathless following Kate’s attempts to help people. Yes, I’m pretty sure about that!
I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this amazing story. The author with his narrative will just pull in for this rollercoaster ride. There is a bit of suspense, drama and lot of action.
