I absolutely love why choose romances!

Palmer is the daughter of the judge involved in Ransom’s mom’s case. Ransom blames the judge for his mom’s death, so he sets out on a mission of revenge by targeting Palmer. What starts as settling the score develops into so much more!

I really liked Palmer. She’s struggling to find her place and, at times, makes bad choices. I liked how she provoked Ransom when he was stalking her. I immediately thought she was going to cause things to escalate, so it was definitely fun watching her push his buttons.

Once Palmer has been kidnapped, I loved the dynamics between her and the guys. Ransom, Kash, and Riot are all a little different, so you get a variety of ways in how they treat her. They take turns watching her as their captive and slowly fall for her.

I did enjoy the romance more than the plot. I liked how the romance developed and how the additional partners were added after Palmer and Ransom had already connected. That created fun tension as the other guys wanted what Ransom had with Palmer.

This book is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I have read the prior books, but I didn’t feel readers would be lost if they read this book out of order.

There are authors whose books you enjoy, and then there are authors whose stories become an experience you look forward to every single time. E.M. Rose is that author for me. She is also one of my closest friends, which makes it even more special to watch her continue to grow and absolutely crush it with every release. I know firsthand how much of her heart, passion, and countless hours she pours into every single book, and it shows on every page.

Chaotic Captive completely consumed me from beginning to end. I told myself I would read just a few chapters, and before I knew it I was completely hooked and refusing to put it down. The story is intense, emotional, addictive, and so unbelievably spicy. Every twist had me needing to know what was coming next, and the chemistry between Palmer, Ransom, Kash, and Riot was absolutely electric.

Palmer is such a strong and unforgettable heroine. Even after everything life has thrown at her, she never loses the part of herself that wants something better. Watching her navigate a world filled with danger, secrets, and impossible choices had me completely invested in her journey. And those three men? They each brought something different to the story, making every interaction feel layered, emotional, and incredibly addictive. Their dynamic was chaotic in the best possible way, and I loved every second of it.

E.M. has this incredible ability to write characters who feel real, even in the middle of the most intense situations. She makes you laugh, stress, swoon, and question everyone's motives all at the same time. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going, she pulled the rug right out from under me.

If you love dark romance with danger, obsession, revenge, unforgettable characters, and enough spice to leave your Kindle begging for mercy, this book absolutely delivers. It is bold, addictive, emotional, and impossible to forget.

E.M., I am endlessly proud of you. Watching you chase your dreams and create these incredible stories has been such a privilege. Your talent shines brighter with every book you write, and Chaotic Captive is another reminder of why you'll always be one of my favorite authors.

This is an easy five stars and another unforgettable read from an author who never misses.

This was so good! I read this a little late due to a slump but this dragged me out of it! The emotion within this book with Palmer feeling isolated and alone and she can’t be who she is! Ransom is the scary but sweet MMC who everyone wants. Riot, my sweet Riot! He’s a charmer and who doesn’t love a charmer! Kash, how cute is he! He’s sweet and soft! The ultimate golden retriever soft as shit until it comes to his women!! The spice, my giddy god!!! This was everything we could’ve wanted and more! A why choose that’s not overwhelming

I can’t wait to read the other books in this series!!!

Chaotic Captive is book 4 of the interconnected standalone Savage series. If you have not read the first 3 books you will totally follow the storyline and not be lost, however where is the fun in that!
I loved the FMC Palmer, she refused to be put in a box and stood up for herself. Never conforming to what her parents wanted her to be. She was all strength and passion.
The chemistry between Ransom and Palmer was electric from the start. Ransom pulled out the little deviant in Palmer.
Once Kash and Riot are introduced it was game on! The spice was perfection. The storyline kept me entertained and the characters were chaotic and different in their own way.
If you love dark romance with a side of obsessed MMC's, then Chaotic Captive is your perfect read.

I quickly devoured this one once I started. That’s the norm for me and this author’s books. She writes it. I read it. Palmer’s story resonated with me. That feeling of feeling like you can’t really be yourself and when you show it you get judged. People you thought you could trust turn on you. The chemistry and love she found with all three men was unique but it was palpable and real so I don’t blame Palmer for being unable to resist Ransom, Riot and Kash. Overall this was a fun spicy action packed read and I was here for it all.

This nice, spicy why-choose novella was aptly titled. I just think it's funny that the chaotic captive isn't who you think they are. The happy ending never really disappoint in E. M. Rose books. Ransom reminds me a little of that bull in a china shop phrase but not in a bad way. Kash is the voice of reason. Riot is a character with a heart of gold. Palmer is the one that will keep them together. There's more plot than spice, just pointing that out. I really thought the parental problems would be worse. Not bad for a book with less than 300 pages.

So Good! 😈
Ok Besties… This was dark and messy in the best way. The kind of read that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I’m still processing... full tea is on the way. 📝

WOW….EM has done it once again but with a MFMM. I devoured this book. Palmer is a strong individual. The life she had she never let it bring her down. She will fight hell on earth to get out of it. Ransom, Riot, and Kash each has their own personality, but each one has one thing in common is their love for Palmer. They possessive and obsessive over her. They will burn down the world just for her. This book completely consumed me. I couldn’t put it down. This book will have you hooked from the first page. It’s emotional and passionate.

I have been here from the beginning and since Sinful Secrets EM continues to show me her writing just keeps getting better and better. If you love dark romance book filled with danger, touch her and die vibes, possessive and obsessive men then you will love her books.
