Book 4 in the McCarthy Legacy is here and this book follows Torin and Valentina. I would recommend picking up Book 3 Wicked Ruin which is and Bridget’s and Declan’s book prior to reading Wicked Auction as there is an overlapping storyline especially when it comes to Valentina and her family.

Torin McCarthy spent time in prison for a crime he did not commit but his family has found some leverage for his early release and now Torin is faced with a new task in which he must track down the real Valentina. In book 3, Declan McCarthy was arranged to marry Valentina for an alliance only that his cunning sister Bronwyn discovered that the woman who said she was Valentina was in fact an imposter and the real Valentina was an imposter.

Valentina has spent weeks in a horrific place and now she finds herself at an auction, but what she doesn’t know is help is coming. Torin wins the auction and now must protect Valentina, but don’t be fooled as she was raised in the mafia life and she is quite a fierce woman.

At the beginning their relationship is very rocky, which of course I expected as so because Valentina has no idea why Torin came for her and she also believed that his family was the reason she was taken in the first place. Valentina challenged Torin every step of the way and honestly that’s what I loved about her, she was a FMC that had a backbone and wouldn’t cower and to be honest Torin loved this about her.

Torin had his own demons in this book and that was to be expected because the man did time and it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows which as a result caused nightmares. But who would have thought that his peace would have been the feisty woman he was tasked to protect.

The pair spend time in Boston trying to gain information on the enemies of McCarthys while also trying to understand if Valentina’s family had any part in her disappearance, before then returning to Ireland. I loved how the McCarthy’s took Valentina under their wing and she formed a bond with Torin’s sisters’ Kyla and especially Bronwyn, his Mother Caitlin and also the other McCarthy wives. She was also happy to see how progressive the McCarthy family actually was in terms that the women in this family were very involved with the running of the family and this was because of the new head of the family Seamus.

This book was a beautiful slow burn between our characters and I loved the building of tension, because when that tension reaches it peak and shatters well you know you are in for a good time. Torin is definitely how I expected, he is dominant and possessive.

Overall I absolutely loved Torin and Valentina’s story. I do hope that the author will give us Bronwyns as I am very interested to see where her relationship will go with a certain Italian.

Thank you to Valentine PR and the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

What a great read! I loved Torin and Valentina’s story. The plot behind this book has been a long one in the making and it moves fast! Torin is released from prison a changed man. He not out of prison for 24 hours before he is sent to the US to buy a woman. Not just any woman, but Valentina. She was abducted to be put up for auction as part of a bigger plot. Once Torin buys her and whisks her away to safety, the mystery becomes who took her – the McCarthy’s as she was told, her family or someone else? As these two share close quarters, the distrust and nightmares of the past plague these two, change the relationship. As Valentina starts to trust Torin, facts soon show that the McCarthys we not behind the abduction, so who was? A cat and mouse game soon begins as they evade Valentina’s captors and fly back to Ireland, bringing the enemy with them. As Valentina’s strength returns along side her trust, so does her backbone and she fights to be more involved with finding out who did this to her and be released from the other prison she finds herself as Torin tries to protect her. Suddenly it becomes a question of does she want to be free and go back home; how long can she stay in her new prison. And then the McCarthy’s are attacked, and it quickly becomes apparent that Torin, not Ireland, not the McCarthys, is her safe sanctuary. They just need to make it out safely.

This is very fast paced story that is full of twists, suspense, and danger at every turn. What makes it safe, it the connection Torin and Valentina find together as they heal each other and trust their hearts to each other.

Jane Henry does it again!! This book was such a fun read because Valentina was such a strong FMC! She was smart and patient and sneaky and I loved watching her move the way she did. Also, Torin might be my favorite McCarthy MMC so far! Holy hotness. This book starts with Torin buying Valentina from an auction and so their dynamics already tense but I loved watching them not just fall in love but start to work as a team. I really loved that Torin knew from the jump that Valentina was a strong and capable ally and would be helpful. She wasn’t just a damsel who needed saving. He treated her as an equal… well mostly (iykyk). What a great book!

Grab your iced coffee book besties, because we need to properly break down this absolute masterpiece of a dark mafia romance. "Wicked Auction" is the fourth installment on the McCarthy Legacy by Jane Henry!

➡️The Plot Highlights
The stakes in this book are sky-high from the very first chapter. We follow Valentina, who has survived absolute hell—she was kidnapped, half-starved, repeatedly drugged, and held hostage for weeks before ending up at a horrifying underground auction. Enter Torin McCarthy. Freshly released from prison after being incarcerated on false information, his family sends him to the auction to find and bid on the real Valentina Esposito (since an imposter took her place in Book 3!). He wins the auction to protect her, but the major twist? Valentina initially believes the McCarthys are the ones who orchestrated her kidnapping.

➡️Character & Emotional Development
The emotional depth in this installment is what makes it a standout. Because of Valentina’s trauma and belief that Torin is her captor, their relationship has an incredibly rocky start. She challenges him at every single turn, and I absolutely adored that she is an FMC with a serious backbone who refuses to cower. Ironically, Torin is completely captivated by her fire.

Torin is dealing with his own heavy demons and nightmares from his time in prison, and it was so beautiful to watch him find his peace in the feisty woman he was tasked to protect. As they travel to Boston to bait her captors before returning to Ireland, they slowly build trust. The emotional tension is a brilliant slow burn—they become intimate and fiercely close, but neither is brave enough to admit their true feelings out loud.

I also have to highlight the incredible dynamic of the McCarthy family. Seamus, the new head of the family, is incredibly progressive, allowing the McCarthy women to be highly involved in running the syndicate. Watching Caitlin, Kyla, Bronwyn, and the other wives take Valentina under their wing and offer her a true support system was the heartwarming balance this dark story needed.

➡️The Verdict
An absolutely captivating, riveting read that expertly balances high-stakes mafia action with deep emotional healing. The tension builds until it shatters, perfectly culminating in a surprise attack that tests everything they've built. Torin is the ultimate dominant protector, and Valentina is his perfect, unbreakable match.

...Now, if you'll excuse me, I will just be over here manifesting that the author gives us Bronwyn’s story with a certain Italian next!

An absolutely captivating read, Torin and Valentina are great characters and the plots riveting
Valentina has been held hostage for weeks; she has been kidnapped and then drugged repeatedly and the men that are supposed to feed her and watch over he are abusive to varying degrees. She is half starved because it is not safe to eat the food brought in because the last time she did she did not wake up for two days and knew that she had been drugged.
Torin has just been released from prison after it was proven that he had been incarcerated over false information, his family have told him that he is going to attend an auction to bid on the sister of Esposito family. His brother had been supposed to marry her until her brothers had paid a surprise visit and discovered their sister was in fact missing and a replacement look-a-like had been pretending she was the woman marrying into the family. Once discovered she had been taken away by the brothers and their father and have been looking for her since.
The McCarthy’s network received details of an auction for girls and then they discovered one of them was in fact Valentina, Torin had attended and knew that he was expected to win her and then would set about discovering how she ended up in this predicament and if she knew who took her and where she had been being held.
The connection between Torin and Valentina is after a rough start and the fact she believed she had been kidnapped and held prisoner and then auctioned off by the McCarthy. Torin knows he has to gain her trust and ensure she knows they were not responsible. As they begin to battle the facts together and bait her captors so that they follow them both back to Ireland where his family will support them both and also help to weed out the kidnappers and see that they pay.
In the time that Torin and Valentina have been together they have become intimate and the relationship they have formed has become very close yet neither seem to be brave enough to say exactly how they feel. Then the unexpected happens and they are attacked from a direction they had not accepted and Torin and Valentina know that the family’s life depends on them getting back and finding the missing occupants.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I would like to thank Valentine PR and Jane Henry for providing me with an ARC of Wicked Auction (The McCarthy Family Legacy #4)!

First of all, I want to preface by saying this was one of my most anticipated reads of October, and I read it IMMEDIATELY as it hit my Kindle. (Devoured in one day, no less.)

Jane Henry has done it again! Wicked Auction was such an incredible dark mafia romance, and I absolutely devoured Torin and Valentina’s story! As we know, Torin was in prison and has recently been released. He kidnaps/rescues Valentina from an auction, and they are left with the mystery of who actually set Valentina up, while we get to see their sizzling romance develop. She has every reason to be wary of him, especially after everything she has been through (our girl is one tough cookie.) I really enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed despite all the fear, distrust, and tension between them. Torin had some GREAT inner dialogue where he was debating whether he wanted to protect Valentina or give her a little spanking for being a menace.

There is something about a possessive, morally gray MMC who will do absolutely ANYTHING for his woman that gets me every single time, and Torin McCarthy definitely delivered. I also want to say I love the fact that Valentina had a backbone and was a badass herself in her own persevering way. (The wallet scene may be my favorite, iykyk.) She isn’t some wallflower FMC. She knows that her kidnappers deserve to be destroyed, and isn’t afraid to unleash her man upon them.

This whole series is soooo entertaining, and I hope to see more of this universe by Jane Henry! We got a little crumb of Lorenzo’s POTENTIAL relationship, and I’d love to see our girl Kyla get her happy ending too. Wicked Auction is such an addictive read (and I can attest to this after reading it in ONE SITTING), and I cannot recommend it enough.

Again, thank you so much to Valentine PR and Jane Henry for this amazing ARC opportunity! I cannot wait to see what Jane has in store for us readers next. :)

Tropes:
- irish mafia
- kinky
- he rescues her/touch her and die
- strong fmc x morally gray mmc
- she used to be betrothed to his brother!! (#Declan)
- distrust (lots of tension built between mcs)
- family saga
- interconnected standalone

If you are looking for a dark mafia romance to devour then Wicked Auction is the book for you. Dipping our toes back into the McCarthy world we get Torin and Valentina’s story and it doesn’t disappoint.

This is a lengthy review because this book deserves nothing less. I'm obsessed with this book and Torin and Valentina are perfection.

Let’s start with Torin McCarthy. Torin was in prison and recently released. He is tasked with what most people call kidnapping and what he would call rescuing Valentina from the auction. Torin’s goal is to find out who put her up for auction and hopefully release her safely. Throughout the time they spend together we get to watch the romance between them burn. The chemistry they have is everything. The one thing I loved about Torin was the internal battle between wanting to take her for himself and devour her and keeping her at a distance but with the ultimate goal of protecting her.

Valentina Esposito is a woman with grit. I loved watching her assert herself and just plain and simply being a straight badass. She wants to know and be involved with whats going on. He isn’t naive she’s been through it and also wants the people who took her, hurt her and tried to sell her to be punished. I loved watching her try to hold her ground with Torin trying to not cave when he was asserting his dominance. I love a strong FMC and Valentina delivered and more.

God I love mafia romances and this book was more than I could have asked for. Give me a morally grey & possessive MMC and I’m putty. Torin gave me everything I love about a mafia MMC.

This entire series has had me in a chokehold in the best way possible. The ending had me feigning for more. I would kill for Bronwyn’s or Kyla’s stories because the little bitty crumbs left for those.. I ate them and wanted more.

A huge thank you to Jane Henry and Valentine PR for the opportunity to ARC read this!! I can’t wait for the next masterpiece that comes our way!!

Torin never expected to be released from prison so quickly, so when his brothers get him out, only to announce they’re sending him to America on a mission, he knows there’s more to the story. He’s told he needs to go to an auction to buy the woman who was supposed to marry his cousin, help figure out who was responsible for her abduction, and lead them back to Ireland so they can be eliminated once and for all, but nothing could have prepared him for the woman he is faced with.

Valentina doesn’t know how long ago she was taken, only that the McCarthy family is responsible, or so she thinks. So when she finds herself on stage at an auction, only to be purchased by a man who happens to be a McCarthy, all she can think is how to get out. But Torin isn’t like the men who took her, making it clear he doesn’t want to hurt her, but that he can’t let her leave either. While he convinces her his family was set up, and that he isn’t sure her family isn’t partly responsible, she doesn’t know who she can trust. But the more time she spends with him, the more she sees a different side of Torin, and while he keeps promising her that she will be able to go back to her life as soon as they figure things out, she’s no longer convinced she wants to leave.

I was able to do an early immersive read of this book thanks to @Valentine_PR_ and really enjoyed it. While it felt like the previous books were a slow build to this one, the story felt like everything was happening at warp speed. I loved that we got to see a gentler side of Torin, showing his compassion for Valentina right from the beginning. Perhaps the fact that they’d both been essentially locked in a cage made them more empathetic towards each other, but they formed a bond early on that was so much more than just chemistry. As we watched them slowly build trust, they also fell in love faster than either of them realized, and when everything was on the line, there was nothing they wouldn’t do to protect the other.

Torin finally got out of prison, and before the man could even take a deep breath, he was dragged into an auction to buy, I mean, save Valentina. 🤦🏻‍♀️ She's a 23-year-old mafia princess who's also a virgin (thank God someone experienced is in the room). She's badass at calculating her moves, though, and I couldn't help wondering if she's on the spectrum like Erin. I can't call this a slow burn or even a dark mafia romance. It felt more like an action movie about revenge, and I appreciated the Baby Driver-esque scenes. The pacing was fast, and I finished it in one sitting, but the book had way too many conversations and inner monologues, some unnecessary and others downright repetitive, considering how little actual plot we got.

I came here for BDSM, and finding out he was pierced was an amazing surprise, plus the tattoos! 👀 Unfortunately, I couldn't feel the chemistry between Torin and Valentina that everyone was raving about in those 4-5 star reviews, and the spice was pretty bland. After my experience with book 1's lack of adult club scenes, I was hoping this book would deliver better on the kinky front, but nope. Also, if I see the word "regroup" one more time, I'm going to combust.

Another reason this book didn't work for me was how easily the bad guys got off. Where the hell is the gore you'd expect from mafia or mob books? 😒 I wanted revenge with actual consequences, not THIS! Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me.

If you like captive/captor, virgin FMC, tatted and pierced MMC, ex-con × mafia princess, and revenge, you might enjoy this one!

Wicked Auction
The McCarthy Family Legacy #4
by Jane Henry

If you read Wicked Ruin you would have heard about Valentina Esposito and how eventually
they found out that Valentina currently was not the real Valentina! Now we get to find out where the real Valentina was. We also have met Torin McCarthy, the brother falsely convicted and in prison.

This story was fantastic, it was hard to put it down. With hat begins the story we now find out who was behind so many things that had kept the McCarthy’s on their toes in other books.

The real Valentina had been kidnapped and they weren’t asking for money to give her back they had a reason for holding her hostage. While the McCarthy men were working to find out who had Valentina, Torin McCarthy was suddenly let out of prison and of course his brother’s
had a job for him! Betrayal, secrets, rumors and undermining were the games that would be played in Boston then back to Balleyhock will keep you turning pages.

With both Valentina and Torin having gone through all different sorts of torture watching these two characters change back to the people they were meant to be. Watching them grow and trust each other is just another reason why I love this author there is never a down moment.

Trust becomes reliance and then strength and a relationship that builds between both Valentina and Torin.

And the ending! Well you have to read this book to find out because when all is found out it was probably not what you had thought of. The suspense ran high throughout the story and I hope that there will be more stories coming about the McCarthy family. I give this book five stars!

Torin McCarthy has been unexpectedly released from prison. Not that he was a good man, but he was framed for the crime he'd been convicted of and he had a list. It seemed though, that his list would have to wait awhile since his brother, and the head of the family, has a job for him. He is going to be attending an auction, a special auction where women are sold to the highest bidder. His assignment is to 'purchase' a certain one and keep her safe while they determine whether her family had anything to do with her abduction and sale. It seems Valentina Esposito had been promised to Declan McCarthy, but an imposter had shown up in her place and no one seemed to know what had happened to the real Valentina, until now. As Torin was the only unclaimed McCarthy, as well as the biggest, baddest one, he was the one who had to retrieve Valentina, without telling her who he was or any he was doing it. But Valentina has been told that it was the McCarthy's who kidnapped her and are now selling her off so she isn't inclined to believe Torin even if he did tell her. In fact, she is not believing that he didn't buy her for a sex slave, even when he sleeps on the couch. Torin can't believe how much he likes his mouthy hostage; she might just be perfect for him, as long as she doesn't find out who he is.

This is the last book in the McCarthy saga and it is a good one. I hope we get some holiday stories so we can keep up with the family. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Tropes: BDSM, Enemies To Lovers, Captor/Captive, Forced Proximity, Virgin FMC, Pierced MMC, Sassy Heroine, Possessive Hero, Hate To Love, Touch Her and Die
MC: Valentina (FMC), Torin (MMC)

Triggers: assault, kidnapping, auctioned
Epilogue: Yes

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this book and absolutely adored Valentina and Torin as a couple. Their chemistry is electric, with her sass perfectly balancing his dominant nature. I fell in love with Torin throughout the story. Although he’s supposed to be a scary ex-con fresh out of prison, there’s so much emotional depth to his character, and I loved how soft and caring he could be with Valentina. I especially appreciated how they quietly comforted each other while navigating the baggage they each carried from past experiences. They knew when to push one another and when to step back, allowing the other to stand on their own when needed. Their personalities complemented each other so well, and between the playful banter and obvious affection, it was easy to root for them. I also loved watching the trust between them grow throughout the story, making their moments together feel all the more meaningful and genuine by the end. I can’t wait to read what Jane writes next, especially if it’s the story of the two characters teased in the epilogue!

Thanks to Jane Henry and Valentine PR for the ARC. All opinions are my own in this ARC Review.

Dropping back into the dangerous and volatile world of the McCarthy storyline is always enjoyable, and after the drama with Declan's almost marriage to the imposter, I needed answers! Who and why did they hide the truth? And what's become of Valentina Esposito?
I need to know!

Torin has recently left incarceration, only to be given the task to "acquire" the real Valentina from her captors who have her scheduled for auction. As we all know and love about this series, these men do not allow for failure and will do absolutely anything to complete their objectives and keep their family safe.

I really appreciate the way this storyline moves and the brutality associated with this world. Valentina has no idea who to trust, but she finds Torin's dominance and directives (and how it makes her feel safe) impossible to question. Serious sizzle!!

This creative author spins all of the bloodshed, betrayals, violence, retribution, steamy chemistry and family loyalties we love into another fantastic couple in the McCarthy storyline and I loved this one.

It's best to read in order for storyline consistency. I can't wait for more and recommend this author and series.

Fortunate to have received an ARC from the author (thank you) I happily leave my thoughts.

Wicked Auction is the fourth book in The McCarthy Family Legacy series by Jane Henry. This book is a Dark Irish Mafia romance that is an Enemies to Lovers trope with a Captive and Captor situation and the FMC Sold at an Auction. You also get Forced Proximity, a Hidden Identity, a Found Family and Touch Her and Die tones that have no third act break up and it ends with a HEA.

TW: Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Mafia, Guns, Violence, Murder, Hidden Identity, Imposter, Drugging, False Imprisonment, Spanking Kink, Bondage Kink, Pierced Peen.

I would like to Thank Valentine PR and Jane Henry for my ARC and in return I voluntarily promised an honest review.

Valentina Esposito is kidnapped, held hostage, then assigned a number and put on an auction block. She doesn't know why but the giant Irishman that just bid and won her acts like he owns her.

Torin McCarthy fresh out of jail is sent to save her and spends a fortune to do so. He takes her back to Ireland with the bad guys following.

She's heard promises and lies before but she believes he's one of the good guys. They must trust one another and come up with a plan to bring down their enemies before it's to late for them both.

✨Captor and Captive
🖤F0rced proximity
✨Hidden Identity
🖤Touch Her and Di€
✨BDSM
🖤Morally Grey MMC
✨He was sent to save her (she has no idea)

My Thoughts:

I am a huge Jane Henry fan and this next in the McCarthy Family Legacy series did not disappoint! This is a Mafia Romance, with an Italian feisty FMC (Valentina) and an Irish anti-hero MMC (Torin).

The audio/narration was really great, I loved the accent and the way both characters were voiced.

There are some twists and turns...namely Valentina being led to believe it is Torin's family who kidnapped her. Torin buying her didn't help...yep I said what I said.

This is true Enemies to Lovers story, neither one of these two were looking for love. Valentina is looking for a way out and Torin is just...looking for a future. I had fun experiencing this one!

Thank you to Jane Henry and Valentine PR for this ARC opportunity!

Wow this was my first book by this author and I received an ALC, let me tell you I was not disappointed.

First off the narrators, Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross, were phenomenal. I loved the Irish accents and it just makes listening to the book even better when the narrators can do a decent male or female voice. So excellent choice in narrators.

Now the story itself was interesting we start with Valentina who had already been kidnapped and being auctioned off when Torin, who literally just got out of prison, buys her to save her from others. I do think it would be beneficial to start from the beginning with this series because it is interconnected. But it wasn’t hard to pick up and follow along.

That being said I think the ending was a tad bit rushed and I feel like I didn’t fully understand why the “bad guy” was doing what they did. Like it came down to a temper tantrum and they were jealous of Valentina’s life? I mean overall still a good story, the spice was hot. Look forward to other books by this author.

Thank you to Valentine PR for this ALC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wicked Auction is book 4 in the McCarthy Family Legacy and what a beaut this book was!

The narrators Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott were outstanding as usual. They bring these characters to life and make you feel everything.

Torin was the tortured hero and although he is ruthless he is a protector at heart and shows this right from the very beginning, especially with how devastated he was when he accidentally hurt Valentina during a nightmare and again when he thought she was an intruder.

Valentina showed us exactly what kind of woman she was strong, intelligent, brave. But she was also a woman who had not been shown kindness especially from her father and had grown up watching how he had treated her mother, so to meet Torin under very unpleasant circumstances, she assumed she had him all figured out; but he just kept on surprising her at every step, the ultimate firm but fair kind of guy.

The pace of this book was also on point and I devoured it. This is a series that could just keep going and going, surely all the cousins need books too!

I read this book overnight. Addictive and Incredible read! I can guarantee no one will be able to stop once you start reading…..

This is set in brutal, ruthless world of mafia. There is something about Irish Mafia that always pulls me in!

Valentina is Kidnapped, Drugged, Starved and ready ti be auctioned!
Torin is just out if Jail and is sent to bring home Valentina.

Their banter is funny, tingling and downright sizzling! I love that is no damsel, she is smart and does not hesitate to collect information even in dire situations. Its not long that they are found and from that moment actions happen and they face the actual truth sbout their families! Once they form a team, they are unstoppable!

McCarthy men always have ironclad loyalty towards family which I appreciate very much.
Esposito family is no less, even though they were outplayed, family first!
I am hoping the next book is on Lorenzo 😛. Thank You Valentine PR and Jane for this incredible read!

This one was a bit slower to garner my interest but as always, Jane has a way of getting me sucked into the stories she writes and this one was no exception.

Torin’s story is one I’ve been waiting for! I wish we got to know him a little bit better but what we do get, I fell in love with. The evolution of Torin and Valentina’s relationship is definitely unique (captor/captive) but intriguing nonetheless. The many moments where their walls slowly start to come down for one another were so well written. It felt like a natural path for them given their circumstances and it was a spicy path as well…

The plot and twists were great and kept me fully engaged. I was surprised by the end but so satisfied! I wish we could tie up some loose ends with certain characters that played a role but ultimately I loved this love story. The McCarthy’s are a unique and exciting bunch to read about and I enjoyed each book in this series!

As always I had such a great time reading about the McCarthy men! Wicked Auction was such a great pallet cleanser in my month of romantasy & paranormal.

The book was pretty fast past and fast burn, which never left me feeling bored. Valentina and Torin gave in to attraction rather quickly in their forced proximity- do not go in thinking this is a slow burn😏 There is also a BDSM component, so please read triggers!

I feel like we got quite a few questions answered at the end of this book regarding plot lines from previous books, which I was happy with. This is a standalone book, but I definitely recommend reading the others in the series first!

I loved seeing the family dynamic in action again, which honestly is one of the main reasons I read this series. I'm absolutely ready for the next book!

Incredible! Just incredible! I love Irish Mafia and this series is a favorite of mine. I’ve been waiting for Torin’s story, for what seems like forever, and it is so worth the wait! From the very beginning I was entranced and didn’t want to put my Kindle down. He’s handsome and strong, and he couldn’t wait until he was released from jail. Never knowing that his family had a job for him to do. When he meets Valentina, a beautiful, fierce young woman, I just knew that somehow these two had to end up together. She is the perfect counterpart to him. When the two of them came up with a plan to put all the wrongs to right, I couldn’t wait to see what they would do. They made me laugh with their witty banter, and their chemistry was sizzling! The storyline was perfect and I loved all the characters, the good ones that is! A definite must read for all!

“She is years of everything I wouldn't let myself want, looking up at me, and I am holding the fraying end of whatever I'm made of with both hands.”

Torin and Valentina are the next couple of Jane Henry’s newest book, Wicked Auction. Torin has been wrongfully convicted and now he’s out for revenge but first he needs to save Valentina from an auction. Valentina is trying to survive in the mafia world and then she gets abducted she needs to find a way to escape. However, she find herself with Torin and she doesn’t know if she can trust him or not but he continuously saves her she decides to stay with him. One thing leads to another and they are both helping each other, however there’s someone who wants to hurt the McCarthy family and everyone is in danger.

I love this series and I’m so happy I got an ARC from Valentine PR.

✨ ARC Review ✨

📚 Wicked Auction — Jane Henry

Uhm… the relationship and banter between them are definitely so fun to read lol 😂 I really enjoy their interactions, and they make this story even more entertaining!

The suspense, captor x captive trope, and auction storyline also make everything so intriguing. There’s always something that keeps you interested and makes you want to know what happens next! 👀🔥

Valentina is such a smart woman, and I love how she can hold her own! Meanwhile, Torin is so protective of her, and I really enjoy seeing this side of him. They’re such a strong and compatible couple, and their dynamic is definitely one of the highlights of this story! 🔥💗

Thank you for the ARC, Jane & Valentine PR! 💛

I am in love with this next gen series of the Irish Mafia and had been anticipating this story for a while. It's kind of a stand-alone, but I really feel you'd have a much better feel for the story and history if at minimum you read the book right before this one, Wicked Ruin. Valentina is a pawn in a game between her family and the McCarthy's. She has been kidnapped and sold at an auction, but she can't quite figure out why a McCarthy would be the one to buy her. Torrin was framed and imprisoned, only just recently released. He buys Valentina to rescue her, but he doesn't give her the whole story, at least not initially. I loved how both of them fought their feelings for each other and worked around their family dynamics and unknown enemies to get to their HEA.

ARC Review

I have read all of the McCartney series. This one however was not the best.

This is about Torin and Vanessa. We've been introduced to Torin in previous books and were told he was in prison.

Torin is not even out of prison he has been tasked to save Vanessa from an auction where she is going to be sold. Torin is able to "buy" her and takes her to a hotel room where they are already attracted to each other. We find out about all the reasons why Vanessa was taken.

This was was a bit boring TBH. I did not enjoy anything about it. How did they already like each other without even knowing. Torin was a bit annoying too. Apparently the book has BDSM it didn't really feel like any bdsm at all.

Thank you to Jane Henry and Valentine PR for the ARC

We met the imposter Valentina and now we meet the genuine one. This Valentina is feisty, smart, brave and trusts no-one, not even Torin who is sent to rescue her almost as soon as he is released from prison. This couple have a love hate relationship because of their families as much as anything else, but as they are forced to evade the Boston Irish, they become closer and closer and Valentina begins to trust. The real perpetrator is a twist I did not expect. A lot of violence that I found hard to read, not that it wasn’t deserved but also lots of wonderful dialogue and a wonderful sense of family especially in the epilogue. A hard to put down book that will leave you wanting more.

Torin Mc Carthy, framed for a crime he didn't do ,only to be released early, and unsure of why, until his brothers collect him from mountjoy.

His brother was suppose to marry Valentina Espotsito, but she was kidnapped and replaced by another families, daughter, and when she was found out the Espotsito family, took custody of the intruder, and everyone though that was the end of it, but no Valentina, was in even more danger, and was to be sold, now Torin much buy her, and keep her family in the dark until they can find out who is behind this plot and if her family is also involved while keeping her alive and well

Wicked Auction by Jane Henry is a dark mafia romance centered on Valentina, who finds herself taken hostage and sold at a secret auction. The winning bidder is Torin McCarthy, a powerful Irishman whose dangerous world is nothing like anything she's ever known. What begins as an unexpected arrangement soon grows into something much deeper as Torin becomes fiercely protective of the woman he never expected to fall for. As threats mount and feelings deepen, their journey is filled with heart-pounding tension, suspense, and hard-won love. I was constantly on edge, never knowing what would happen next.

Wow! This book had me from the beginning. The main characters Torin and Valentina stole my heart. Torin, a man framed for a crime he did not commit and Valentina, a woman who is kidnapped and tortured come together to get to the truth. I was on the edge of my seat as I read. These two have to learn to trust each other. There is plenty of action, danger, chemistry and betrayal that they have to deal with. As the story unfolds you see these two grow beyond the circumstances and love blooms. Is it enough to survive their world? Can they have a future? Check the book out and see what happens with these two! Highly recommend.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Jane Henry for this ARC 🫶🏻

Valentina is auctioned off after she was held hostage by an unknown entity. Torin is recently out of prison and tasked with finding Valentina. He wins her in the auction and is determined to find out who was responsible for her being there.

At first Valentina couldn’t trust the McCarthy’s but she learned that the real enemy wasn’t her captor! Valentina isn’t experienced but Torin is ready to teach her how to obey!

This was dark, spicy, and kept me guessing! 🖤
