Addison Lex Valentino-Petrov. He’s been my best friend for the past twelve months, since I started at this snobby-ass boarding school. He’s kind, loyal, and trustworthy. The third book of the Valentino-Petrov heirs novellas and this book follows Lex Valentino-Petrov who is the son of Mikhail and Izzy.
Now Lexi and Addison have been bestfriends since he started at his boarding school. She was a type of woman who kept to herself, but she definitely stood out in Lex’s eyes and the pair became fast friends. It is clear that this pair’s relationship goes beyond friendship even though they both don’t act upon it, until one day Addison asks Lex to take her v-card. Lex was hesitant as he didn’t want to ruin their friendship if she regretted it but he did in fact accept.
Lex doesn’t do things in half measures and he in fact brings Addison home where she meets his family. It was quite adorable how Izzy and Mikhail loved Addison instantly and from that moment she became protected by the family because that was what she was at that point if Lex was bringing her home. The pair get steamy and suddenly what should have been a once off was certainly not what was on the cards anymore.
After spending the weekend together Addison returned to her dorm where she was attacked and decides she cannot face Lex after what happened so she disappears. She remains in contact with Izzy and Mikhail and they help her get through this tough time. Izzy ensures that Addison has someone to talk to about the experience and Mikhail also ensures that she has a future at a college. Lex and Addison reunite at college where she eventually comes clean about what actually happened and why she disappeared. To say Lex was outraged was an understatement and he most certainly got revenge in Addisons honour.
This is a short novella but I love how Kylie gives us insight into the Valentino-Petrov futures as there is quite a lot of them.
Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭
Absolutely devoured this short Novella between Lex and Addison. The easy banter between these two best friends was adorable. Loved Lex's protective nature towards Addi. Always patient and making sure she's ok. The only person who he let's see his softer, good side. He would do anything for her. Lex's whole families banter between themselves was very entertaining. I love his mothers character so much and the way his father always looked out for Addi. From Addi's first call to Lex's father, they all took her in as apart of the family, melts my heart. It was sad knowing Addi felt she needed not to rely on anyone with her trauma, it was great that behind the scenes Lex's parents were silently there. A fast paced, quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed with Kylie's easy flowing writing style that keeps you turning the page. Loved all these characters, can't wait for more!!

Lex and Addison are best friends hovering on the edge of becoming something more but too afraid to risk the friendship they already have. But when they finally decide to take that leap, a traumatic event leaving Addison's life completely shaken. Later, they find each other again and they fall back into their relationship and learn how to heal together.
“This lifetime and a million more after.”
These two were so cute together. Lex may be the final Valentino-Petrov sibling to get his story, but he was absolutely worth the wait. He's rough around the edges, a little unhinged (I mean...have you MET his parents? Duh), while Addison is all softness and heart. They balanced each other so naturally that it never felt like they had to force anything even when time had passed by.
“It’s just me and him. Forever.”
As always, one of my favourite parts of Kylie Kent's books is the family. Izzy and Mikhail were exactly the kind of parents you'd expect them to be, opening their home and their hearts to Addi without hesitation. Those little moments honestly made me just as emotional as the romance itself. I also love that Kylie writes these novellas because they let us spend a little more time with the ever-growing Valentino, Petrov, McKinley, and DeBellis families. We get to catch up with the first generation while watching the next generation find their own happily ever afters. They're always short, sweet, and have these little heartwarming moments that leave you smiling.
If you are a sucker for a childhood best-friends-to-lovers romance mixed with a protective, slightly unhinged mafia heir, you need to add this book to your TBR right this second! I just finished the third book in the Valentino-Petrov heirs novellas, and let me just say Lex Valentino-Petrov is officially worth the wait. He is the youngest of the clan, troublesome, volatile, and comes from two extremely powerful mafia families. Addison is the only one who can completely ground him, and their chemistry is just off the charts.
What Lex doesn't know is that behind the scenes, she is being hidden and cared for by two of the most unsuspecting people—his own parents! Izzy and Mikhail instantly loved Addi, and once a Valentino-Petrov brings you home, you are protected for life. Izzy gets her the help she needs to process the trauma, and Mikhail secretly secures her future at college. When Lex and Addison finally reunite at school, they fall right back into their natural rhythm, because he is the only person who makes her feel safe enough to truly exist. And to say Lex is outraged when he finds out what happened to her? A massive understatement. The revenge he gets in her honor is top-tier!
Even though this is a short novella, Kylie Kent gives us the absolute perfect glimpse into the ever-growing Valentino, Petrov, McKinley, and DeBellis families. Watching the first generation step up as parents while the next generation finds their happily ever after completely melted my heart. It’s short, sweet, rough around the edges, and has the most heartwarming healing journey.
As always Kylie has given us another fabulous story, I just cannot get enough of this extended family! My only gripe is I wish it was longer!
Lex and Addison’s story is short, fast paced, emotional and had me gripped, so much that I didn’t realise I was at the end until I turned the page and it was finished! Addison and lex’s relationship started as friendship but was always so much more than just friends. When Addison experiences a trauma she leaves and doesn’t tell Lex what’s happened, to protect him from doing something reckless in retribution. The story skips ahead a year to when they reconnect and Lex is determined to whatever it takes to keep her in his life this time. And when he finds out why she left, all bets are off and he does what any good Valentino/petrov would do and seeks out revenge & justice mafia style!
I loved Lex and Addi’s relationship, their chemistry was palpable, their friendship solid and they were just perfect for each other. The way Lex cared for her, respected her boundaries and did everything he could to care for her and help her move through her trauma was so touching and had me melting for him. I also love the appearances from other family members and how they all support each other no questions asked.
A fabulous, emotional, quick read that I devoured in one sitting!
Even though everyone stays away from Lex, Addison doesn't fear him, which makes them best friends. They have an open, honest, and protective friendship. Fulfilling her desire, Lex is unwilling to give up on Addison. However, Addison quits the school without telling Lex about her terrible incident.
Sassy, honest, smart, and caring, Addison accepts Lex for who he is. She feels secure and at ease being close to him. She silently harboured a crush on him for a while. She became a closed person as a result of the terrible event.
From the moment he lay eyes on Addison, Lex, an insane, possessive, protective, and loyal man, fell in love with her. However, he kept this love to himself out of fear that Addison wouldn't accept his dark side and would reject him.
Their friendship was beautiful and genuine from the beginning, but it quickly developed into a strong, protective connection. The plot is fast paced, simple to read and offers some enjoyable scenes. It was fascinating to read about Lex's parents' embrace of Addison and their protectiveness of her. His siblings too. A great insight into the story was provided by the side characters. This crazy exchange between the Petrov-Valentino family made me chuckle a lot. I wanted to read more about Lex and Addison since I enjoyed everything about them.
Kylie Kent is back with another novella, and this one belongs to Lex. He is the youngest of the combined crime families Valentino-Petrov. His parents are Izzy and Mikhail, and he might be the prefect balance of both of his parents in him.
Lex’s story is just a novella but Kylie packs plenty into his and Addison’s story.
Now I am a massive Kylie Kent fan and love the Valentinos. In saying that I have to admit that Lex’s book was not my favourite. Lex the character I loved. Addison was a good addition to the family and suited Lex well.
So, what didn’t gel for me? It seemed a little rushed and jumped around a bit and I think it could have used a bit more. Maybe instead of a novella a slightly longer book would have given me everything that I wanted.
Don’t mistake this for a bad review. I’m still just as obsessed with this family and enjoyed it; I just didn’t get everything I needed from it.
Lex shows off his crazy that he gets from his mother and his ruthless side that honestly, he gets from both of them. Addison struggles on her own and breaks Lex’s heart in an effort to save him. Her heart was always in the right place, but she did nothing but harm them both. I liked how involved Izzy and Mikhail got and that they did what Lex couldn’t when it was needed.
I’ll be ready to jump right back into this world of Kylie Kent’s whenever she brings writes it.
**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars) — Another flawless addition to a massive, beautifully interconnected universe!**
Is anyone surprised by my 5-star rating? I mean, I am one step away from basically worshipping Kylie Kent and every single thing she writes. I don't know what it is about her, her books, her characters, her storylines, her universe... I don't know, it all just works for me.
This novella follows Lex and Addie. Lex is the brother of Neo and Mabilia, and the son of Mikhail and Izzy. I love how much every book Kent writes is interwoven into this giant universe she's created.
I'm not going to go into plot lines because this is just a novella so it's not very long, plus I don't want to spoil anything! Lol. But this was exactly what you would expect from a Kylie Kent book! Maybe I'm biased, but I really enjoyed this story! I hate when they end! Lol.
I will always recommend people dive into this universe and enjoy the ride!
I finished this one in a single sitting! Such a quick, addictive read that kept the story moving without dragging.
Lex, our MMC, is a Mafia Prince who’s sent to a prestigious school after being kicked out of every other school because of his “questionable” behavior. There he meets Addison, our FMC, and the two quickly become best friends… even though it’s obvious there’s something more between them.
Then everything changes.
A life-altering event tears them apart, and Lex never learns the full truth about what happened. And you know me… I don’t do spoilers! You’ll have to read this one for yourself.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced mafia romance with childhood friends, unresolved feelings, and plenty of emotion, add this one to your TBR.
Lex Valentino- Petrov 🥵 youngest of the clan … comes from 2 extremely powerful mafia families … troublesome and oftentimes volatile… Addison hard worker , only child of a single mother ,the daughter of an addict… she is the only one who changes and grounds him … she gives him her most prized possession and days later a tragedy changes everything . She becomes withdrawn and leaves the boarding school . For an entire year he is restless and ruthless missing his other half … unbeknownst to him , she is being cared for behind the scenes by 2 of the most unsuspecting people … he is the only person who makes her feel comfortable and safe enough to exist
Italian mafia Bratva True love HEA It’s always been YOU V FMC Love before and after trauma TOUCH HER AND ☠️
I enjoyed this novella very much. We finally learn more about the last Valentino-Petrov heir. He’s unhinged, crazy, and a psycho. Everyone who walks towards him turns away. Basically everyone fears him. Well everyone but Addison. She has been his best friend since the moment she met him at boarding school. They just clicked and formed a deep connection. There is nothing Alex won’t do for her and she knows it. Sadly when something horrible happens to Addison, she leaves instead of telling him or asking for help. This was so emotional. It was fast -aced yet you feel everything. It was filled with drama, angst, heartbreak, tender moments, humor, and sad twists.
Lex and Addi’s story was short, emotional and easily devoured.
They start as best friends, but it’s obvious there has always been more between them. Then one awful night changes everything and Addi disappears from Lex’s life without telling him why. When they finally find their way back to each other, Lex is determined she isn’t leaving him again.
I loved how protective he was without ignoring what Addi needed or rushing her through her trauma. And of course, once he learns the truth, the Valentino-Petrov side of him comes out in full force.
My only complaint is that it was over far too quickly! I could have happily read a full-length book about these two. 5⭐️ 3🌶️
Another quick fun read from Kylie Kent. This novella follows Lex and Addison. Two best friends who fall in love with esch other 🥹 I love how protective he is of her and to read all about the sibling banter! I loved the relationship Addison had with his parents so much, I just downloaded Izzy‘s & Mikhail‘s story and meet them properly! Definitely recommend this, even if you haven’t read anything yet in this series, you‘ll get hooked in, like me, and then read the rest! 🤪
This is a friends to lovers/second chance novella.
Lex, maybe dangerous but when it comes do Addi he is the sweetest man, like swoon worthy. Addi is a take charge, speaks her mind girl until one night her life is change upside down.
This story was fast pace but when it comes to Kylie Kent she will always deliver on an amazing love story. No matter what the FMC or MMC goes through.
Prepare to be absolutely wrecked; the dark, twisted vibes are dangerously addictive. Lex is utterly unhinged, and the ruthless way he protects Addison without caring about the consequences is everything. Their intense chemistry and toxic tension will have you completely consumed. Definitely a must-add to your tbr!

Lex and Addison were absolute perfection! While they may be complete opposites, Lex's craziness and Addison's sweet nature, they balance one another out perfectly, which makes their friendship even more wonderful and intriguing. Their chemistry was undeniable, the banter was top tier, and their love for one another was so precious. This may be a short story, but it definitely packs a punch, while also giving me all the things I both need and look forward to with this author!
Lex is amazing. He’s so possessive yet patient. Even after she left he didn’t hate her. I wish he would have read the note. I’m dying to know what she said. Jameson was the worst. The abuse seemed like it was out of nowhere but predators don’t exactly plan their every move. I’m glad she made it through the abuse.

Queen Kylie does it again. Lex and Addi are perfect. Opposite side of the tracks. He only tolerates her. Found family, touch her and die, she’s mine, Mafia. All my favs. Honestly Addi was such a beautiful soul and I love she found Lex he’s perfect for her. The story had heartbreaking themes but the story all in all was heart and panty melting.
This is the third book in the Valentino-Petrov Heirs Novella series. It’s an emotional, opposite side of the tracks, enemies to best friends to lovers story. Lex and Addison are perfect together. Their story is dark, intense, heartbreaking, twisted and full of drama. It’s beautifully and sensitively written. I couldn’t put it down. I am voluntarily leaving this review
If you are looking for a short novella this is for you. We meet Lex and Addison. They have been best friends since he started boarding school. One day Addison asks Lex to take her v-card. Lex is hesitant he doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. Eventually he does accept which brings them closer. Addison is attacked and she decides she can’t face Lex. What happens next read to find out.
Lex is down right unhinged but in the best way! The way he protects her at all cost and no consequences for his actions. Loved this!!! But I also them love so it works!
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review
Obsessed… And I Like It 🤭 Besties… this one? Yeah… this was dark, twisted, and oh so good! 👀 The tension and the vibes were dangerously addictive. Full tea coming soon.📝
I absolutely love Lex, he’s now my favourite of the Valentino-Petrov kids. The way he loves and cares for Addison will melt your heart. A fantastic read, I didn’t put it down from start to finish. I just love the heirs. Highly recommend.
I love these. It gives me all the feels in a small novella sized package. I mean I would take full length Valentino anyday!(Pun intended) But I do really enjoy these bite size heir books. I love Lex and the story was perfect amounts of dark and sweet.
I love them and wanted the book to go on and on. I think seeing Lex get his happily ever after was a sweet touch. Dante is probably still my favorite but this was a good quick read and possibly number 2 for me.
This book was good but it moved really fast! It seems like everything was just thrown together. I LOVE Kylie Kent and have read every book she’s written. This one just seemed very rushed.
