No! It can't be over! I want more!!! This book was beautiful, gripping, intoxicating and fresh! I loved the bond between Cooper and Briley--stories about friends blossoming into lovers are so touching and heartwarming.
But add the charm and mystery of a character like Cooper Sterling and you've got a new BBF to drool over! Well done Eleanor Green! I enjoyed this book from

Wait For Me follows the story of Briley and Cooper. Briley and Cooper have been best friends since they were younger. Somewhere along the way their feelings for one another changed, but both were too afraid to risk taking it to the next level. Cooper has always felt protective of Briley. Little did Cooper know that, that protectiveness would one day cost him. Cooper finds himself in jail, in an impossible situation…Briley’s life has had some ups and downs, but the one thing that has always remained is her friendship with Cooper. After she calls off her engagement, she finds that she needs Cooper more than ever..

Wait For Me was such a refreshing story. I love, love, love the friends to lovers story-line. This is my first book by Eleanor Green and I have to tell you, she has made a fan out of me. The story is well-written and was a quick read for me. I devoured it in one day. I was captivated by Briley and her relationship with Cooper. Their friendship so strong. You could tell the depth of their feelings for one another. The two of them have gone through so much. Each, their own demons to battle. I wanted Cooper and Briley to be together so badly. I had moments where I wanted to yell at Briley, force her to see what was in front of her.

I loved everything about this book. The characters were very enjoyable, easy to connect with. There was steam, some mystery, intrigue, angst and of course romance. This was such a beautiful story of friendship and love. My only complaint is that the story is over! I can’t wait for more Briley and Cooper!

I received an ARC copy of this book via the author, in exchange for an honest review

I freaking loved this book and I love Eleanor's writing as always. This is a beautifully done friends to lovers romance ripe with angst.
We start off the book with Briley finally having had enough of her fiance Blake's shit and is ready to toss him out on his behind. Briley is strong but weak at the same time. This experience brings her down and it really screws with her self esteem and confidence. Blake's got some serious creeper issues. I was on the edge of my sit for a long time wondering if Blake was going to do something terrible to Briley.
Briley just wants to run straight to her best friend Cooper's arms for comfort but can't because he's in jail for doing something, that was in my opinion, foolish. What is it with hot headed men these days and the mentality of act first and think about consequences later? That seems to be Cooper's motto for most of the book actually. He spent his time in the slammer thinking of Briley and not in the we're friends sort of way. He's loved her for a while and he can't get past her friend wall that she's built around herself. But he tries and the results are simply frustrating and discouraging. Will Briley ever truly let Coop in? Can Coop stay out of jail long enough to even succeed?

Wait For Me is book 1 in a 2 book series but it can be read as a standalone. There is no massive cliff hanger at the end (which I'm thankful for). Just a few unanswered questions to be taken care of in book 2. I highly recommend you pick this up and read it. If you haven't read anything by Eleanor before then you will quickly become a fan!

Oh My Gosh! I absolutely LOVED this book. I cannot wait for the next one! Cooper and Briley are freaking wonderful. I feel Cooper takes this book to a whole new level. It's an amazing story of friendship and what happens when you fall in love. With the added mystery of her parents it takes you on a ride, that I do not want to get off. Eleanor, you did it again, this was just as good as Torn if not better! Ugh, I'm so ready for more! :)

Unsure how to rate this one. The friends to something more part was fine. But the secondary stories irked me. The description said it was about family secrets and that part was quite glosses over while the focus was on a storyline with her ex.

Wait For Me by Eleanor Green

Review by Jen (BestSellers & BestStellars)

Wait For Me was amazing! I read Eleanor Green’s first book, Torn, and have been dying for a new book from her ever since. When I first found out about this book, I was super excited and so anxious to get my hands on it. Like with her first book, Eleanor Green doesn’t disappoint. I love stories about best friends developing into lovers. I felt like I was in the story with these characters, going through everything they went through. I loved Briley and Cooper. They are definitely two of my favorite characters. This was a beautiful friends to lovers story with a little bit of mystery, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I want more!!

“If you’re lucky enough, one person will come into your life, remove the cobwebs of your filthy soul, extinguish the demons residing there, and fill it with light and love.”

Briley is smart, sweet, and beautiful, and she’s been best friends with Cooper since they were kids. She sees Cooper as her brother and trusts him with her life, but she knows that no good can come out of them being in a relationship. After a failed engagement that presents a chance to be in a relationship with Cooper, Briley starts to see him in a different light, but she’s not willing to take a chance no matter how much she wants it, because she doesn’t want to risk their life-long friendship.

“What I really longed for was someone to unfold me and wrap me up in their arms, soothing the ache inside of my chest. I wanted that someone to be Cooper. But if I gave him the wrong impression and we crossed a line, there would be no turning back. I couldn’t take a chance on hurting him or losing him for good.”

Briley tries to keep everything friendly between her and Cooper, repeatedly telling him that they’re best friends and they can’t be in a relationship. The more Cooper pushes, the harder Briley pushes back and friend-zones him. Eventually, she realizes that Cooper has given up, which makes her realize that she may have lost his friendship, too.

“I’d managed to royally screw up the best thing I had in my life. Trying to protect our friendship, I’d destroyed it instead.”

Briley wants Cooper in her life, especially because he’s her best friend, but it’s more than that. The more she thinks about it, the more she realizes that she wants more with Cooper. He’ll always be her best friend, but it runs deeper than that. She has feelings for him.

“I loved Cooper, I’d always known that. I would do anything for him, of course. I thought living without him was best for him, even though I was dying inside. It dawned on me then that maybe I could make him happy. I’d do anything to make it work, learn how to meet his needs and fill his life with joy.”

Then we have Cooper. He’s sweet, funny, protective, and he’s been in love with Briley since the fifth grade. After Briley gets attacked years later, Cooper lands himself in prison for defending her, leaving Briley alone and unprotected. He wants her to wait for him, but he doesn’t convince her. Cooper wants Briley, but he knows that he needs to convince her and make her see that they’d be good together.

“She was worth the effort. One thing I learned in this cage, life was too short to dick around. I needed to go after what I wanted, and I wanted her. She belonged with me. I just needed to make her see the light.”

Cooper tries numerous times to get Briley to understand that he has feelings for her and wants to take things further. He knows they belong together, but she refuses to believe him, not wanting to jeopardize their friendship. Cooper finally tells Briley how he feels about her.

“I’ve always loved you, you know that. But the way you started smiling and ... your eyes sparkled. I knew I had fallen in love with you. Not just the one-four-three, but the kind of love that makes you look forward to growing old, so you can sit on the porch with the one you love and watch the sun set.”

I loved this book. I loved that Briley and Cooper started off as best friends and then worked their way into being more. It was such a beautiful story and I loved every minute of it.

The quality of writing was great. The story was well-written and very enjoyable to read. This was such a beautiful, emotional journey between two characters that had such an intense attraction and connection to each other. The story kept me interested and I loved every word.

5 Diamonds for this wonderful story!!

WAIT FOR ME is a wonderful love story between two friends. Cooper and Briley have been through so much of their lives together. Friends since they were in diapers, they know the good, the bad, and the ugly about one another. But when Briley is attacked and Cooper is sent to prison as a result, their friendship becomes strained with the separation and Briley’s fiancé. When Cooper is out of prison, the question is if they can pick up their friendship or if their feelings have forever transformed who they once were.

Eleanor Green does a great job of sharing Cooper and Briley’s story. These two are made for each other in every possible way. The relationship they have is rare and precious. I enjoyed watching these two work through their friendship and romantic feelings for one another. Having this book in dual POVs allows the reader to understand so much more, taking us deeper into the thought processes and emotions of our two main characters. Cooper is dead set on fighting for her love and Briley is terrified of what will happen. There are so many ups and downs for these two but they have to learn to walk through the hard times if there is to a future of any kind for them both.

The situations and themes in this book are great. Nothing is overly dramatized; instead, everything in this story has a purpose and meaning within the story. At the beginning we are in the present day and then we jump back to understand what happened in the past and why Cooper is in prison. This flashback is vital to understand who and where these two are coming from. It gives major personality and relational insight into the characters of the story.

I loved Briley’s mother and their relationship. It was a strong foundation for Briley to stand on when chaos ensued. I loved Cooper’s family and the acceptance of his friends and loved ones when he was released from prison. The theme of family and friendship is so key to the characters and plot. There are many different ideas and emotions that could have easily swayed the story line from one direction to another, but Eleanor takes us to the heart of the matter and keeps everything focused on the love story unfolding.

This book has a little bit of suspense and intrigue thrown in that creates a mysterious element that I enjoyed. There is a constant push and pull with Briley’s ex. There are mysteries that begin to unfold about some of the characters that leaves you curious at the end of this story. There is no major cliffhanger but a level of curiosity as to what is coming in the second book! I am excited for more from Eleanor Green and seeing what happens to Briley and Cooper in the second book of the Lovestruck Series!

I absolutely loved the synopsis for this book. A best friend to lovers story is always guaranteed to get its sweet and sexy claws into me so with Wait for Me I was eager to dive right in and uncover all the mystery and angst that seemed to be promised.
Briley is our female protagonist, suffering in a complicated and incredibly unstable relationship, cheated on and pretty much in total isolation from the only person she can trust and turn to when in need of guidance or comfort- her best friend, the delectable and dangerous Cooper. Cooper is what absolutely makes this story so captivating. He’s toxic with rage and anger, something that has landed him in serious trouble time and again but it’s his loyalty, love, friendship and secretly harboured romantic love for Briley that keeps the fighting soul in him alive.

‘“I’m going to taste you. I’ll wait until you’re relaxed and ready to give me every ounce of your trust.” His eyes flashed with desire before he kissed the opposite corner of my mouth in the same manner. “When I’m finished with you, you’ll never remember you were ever with anyone else. The only name you’ll ever exhale from this day forward is mine.”’

Wait for Me started out great, in fact I was mesmerised and surprised by the setting in some circumstances, the storyline was remarkably fresh and unused and for once I wasn’t entirely sure what the outcome was going to be with these two tortured and well-developed characters. Unfortunately it was the to and fro pull of Coop and Briley that dulled the plot down considerably as the story progressed. I’m all for a angst and trouble and the big dramatic disruption to the equilibrium of the relationship but when it becomes an overused template of couples not communicating on basic things and the whole ‘I’m pushing you away to save our life long friendship’ thing, I lose interest and such was the case here. Jealousy, pettiness and one-up-manship do not a happy couple make, or reader for that matter and for the last part of the book that is exactly what we got. It is difficult to accomplish a genuinely perfect ‘best friends to lovers story’ without recycling certain tools and showing the natural progression of love between them but for me, the drama was anti-climatic, it just fell a little flat and left me disappointed in what should have been a five star read.
I will say Wait for Me is tremendously well written and like I mentioned previously Cooper is a super sexy hot-headed force to be reckoned with, it was just my personal displeasure of certain aspects in the plot that let the book down as a whole, regardless, many other readers will love it.

Wait For Me is a love story about best friends to lovers.

Briley and Cooper have known one another since they were in diapers. They have been best friends there whole lives and know the good, the bad and the ugly about one another.

One night Briley, her creepy fiancé and Cooper are in a bar and her fiancé leaves to hook up with his new play toy, so Cooper stays there to watch over her. He finds her in the restroom getting assaulted by a guy that drugged her and rushes to her side. After taking care of her all night, he plots his revenge for this loser and the next day, attacks the guy. This is his 3rd battery charge so he goes to prison for a 2 year sentence but hopefully out in 17 months.

Briley finally smartens up and dumps her cheating fiancé. She is a wreck and needs her best friend but she isn't allowed to go see him because he thinks it'll cause a fight with his inmates. So she writes him and sends him care packages durning his whole stay. But this only causes a strain between the two.

Its time for Cooper to be released early for good behavior and Briley is over the moon.
Cooper is excited to be able to finally see B and get to the bottom of what she is hiding because her latest letters have seemed so formal. Cooper becomes dead set on fighting for his love for B while Briley is terrified of what this will do to their friendship, so the games begin.

Can they let their true feelings out and turn their friendship into romance? Will Briley stop fighting and allow Cooper in? Will Cooper give up and walk away from B?

My favorite thing about this book was Cooper and Briley's mother. Overall, I enjoyed it and why I am giving this 4 stars.

This book had me glued to my kindle. I couldn't devour it fast enough. But after a certain part I found myself wanting to skip ahead so I could see if what I predicted would happen. My stomach was actually in knots over what I predicted and I didn't know if I could move forward. That there makes a great read!!

Briley is having a rough time. She misses her best friend Cooper. She doesn't like that he won't let her come visit him. She blames herself for causing him to go away. When her life is completely in shambles she has no one, but her mom. She wants Cooper though. She knows he's coming home soon so she endures the pain alone. Once he gets home things get awkward. She wants him but is so damaged by what her ex did to her that she pushes him away. Will she finally push him away enough to cause him to fall into another woman's arms? Will she ever admit her feelings for him?

Cooper is finally happy to get out of this hell hole. He doesn't regret what he did to get in here, he'd do it all over again. He would do anything to protect Briley. He's been in love with her for years even though she doesn't know it. Once he gets home he's determined to finally tell her how he feels. He doesn't want to lose her, but he can't handle all the rejection. Is he going to wait for Briley, the girl he loves? Or has she finally pushed him into the arms of another woman?

I just want to say this book was amazing. I didn't realize there was going to be a book two!! That's good and also has me worried about a certain someone. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens next with Briley and Cooper!!!

Eleanor does it again!! She pulled at my heart strings and left me wanting more!! Luckily for me (and you) this book is full-length and can be read as a standalone. Honestly, words fail me at just how much I adored this book. I suffered from a serious book hang-over and lost sleep but it was totally worth it!! There’s a twists’, real life and so much more. A tale of a friendship, of heartache and finding true love where you least expect it. I laughed, cried and screamed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for more to come from Mrs. Green!
Cooper Sterling has been in love with Briley Shefield since elementary school. He’s never doubted his feelings for her but Briley has never seen him as anything other than her best friend. When Cooper finds himself behind bars after only doing what comes naturally to him – protecting Briley – Briley is forced to go on in life without her partner in crime. When Cooper and Briley are once again reunited, Briley is overwhelmed with unfamiliar feelings and is in a state of denial that they could ever be anything but friends.
Will Briley finally realize what she’s always wanted has been in front of her her entire life? Will Cooper continue to put his life on hold while waiting for Briley to come to her senses’?

I adore a good friends-to-lovers book and this one fit the bill.

It's always interesting to read a book when it's the male wanting more from the female- usually it's the female who wants more than the male can give. But in this case it's Cooper who wants Briley as more than just his best friend and she has a hard time with that.

"One thing I learned in this cage, life was too short to dick around. I needed to go after what I wanted, and I wanted her. She belonged with me. I just needed to make her see the light."

Cooper is one of those sweetly protective, somewhat possessive, males that will make you swoon and wish you had one for yourself. As much as he wants Briley for himself he's willing to step back and let her have her space, knowing she will be his eventually.

Briley is a very relatable character, but I admit to wanting to smack her a time or 2- she frustrated me to no end, with the way she kept pushing Cooper away. But on the other hand I completely understood her feelings, not wanting to ruin the friendship they shared. So I guess I was as conflicted as she was! When you've shared such a perfect relationship for so long it's scary to think about making changes and the possibility of losing what you have. But oh man, Cooper was so worth taking that chance on!

This is a sweet story, with a little mystery that will leave you wanting more.

4-4.5 stars. Cooper and Briley have been best friends since they were toddlers and Cooper has always loved Briley. As for Briley, she loves Cooper, too, but his friendship is the most important thing to her and she doesn't want to jeopardize it. They have both been through some personal turmoil in the last year or two while they were apart and Cooper has realized that life is too short to sit on the sidelines so he's going to make sure Briley knows how he feels about her. As for Briley, she is coming out of a failed engagement and finding herself again. Wait For Me has all the elements of friends-to-lovers, including angst, humor, sexual tension and a rock solid friendship at the core in well written manner. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and adored Cooper. There is no doubt that he is the very best kind of guy who cares deeply for his friends and particularly Briley and there isn't anything he wouldn't do for her. As for Briley, she's got her wishy washy moments due to insecurities and while it can be a bit maddening at times, I still understood where she was coming from. Aside from Briley and Cooper's relationship, there's a bit of suspense or mystery in the plot, too, and has me wondering where that will take Briley and Cooper in the next book.

When I started reading Wait For Me I didn’t know what I was about to get into, but let me tell you I didn’t get disappointed.
Wait For Me is such an amazing love story. I was hooked from the beginning.

The story begins with Cooper in jail. His whole life he always loved Briley and one night when someone was harassing her he defended her which landed him in jail.
Briley has never felt anything other than friendship with Cooper. But now that Cooper is coming home from jail, something is about to change.
Now that Cooper’s back can Briley accept the feelings she has for Cooper or is she going to push him away in order to save their friendship?

I really loved Briley and Cooper’s story. It was so emotional I couldn’t stop myself from finishing Wait For Me right away. The whole book is amazingly written and had me sucked in from the beginning.
It was sweet and sexy. The main character’s made me fall in love with them over and over again. It was impossible to put the book out of my hands once I started reading.

Eleanor Green was able to make Wait For Me one of my favorite books and I can only recommend it. It is a must have in every romance lovers book shelf.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book prior to its release.

This love story takes us on a journey with briley and cooper as they find their way to each other. When we first meet Briley, she is engaged to a cheating snake and feels like her world is crumbling around her. She wants to talk to her best friend, but he is in prison because he attacked someone for hurting her. She goes through the motions until finally Cooper is released from prison and she gets her best friend back. Only Cooper is inlove with B and had no hesitation in letting her know, while B can't admit what she feels for her life long best friend is more than just friendship. By the time she realises it, she thinks she's too late and takes off but Coop follows her eventually and together they admit their true feelings.

The last chapter raises so many questions about B's family and I can't wait to find out what will happen with this couple next.

Amazing story line and very real characters. I must read for romance lovers everywhere.

Wow! I am completely amazed by this book! This book is so different from anything I have read lately so it came at a perfect time for me. The emotions brought out in this book were simply beautiful.

Poor Cooper had landed himself in jail for defending Briley from an attack. They had been friends since they were kids and he has loved her for years. Briley had always put him in the friend zone and never thought about him that way. As she finds out she misses Cooper while he's in jail, she goes through so much turmoil and realizes how much Cooper really means to her.

Briley certainly doesn't make things easy for Cooper and as much as I just wanted to slap her at times, you can really feel how broken she is. With the crazy ex she had, who can blame her? The emotions brought out in this book were beautiful. It was well written and I couldn't put this one down. I always love a friends-to-lovers romance and this one is well worth the read!!

I thought this book was great. It was well written and I always like books that flip flop chapters with the female character's POV and then the male character's POV.

Cooper is very protective of Briley. I like that Eleanor Green didn't overkill his masculinity by making him so possessive and protective that he sounds obsessive. I don't know if I love it or hate that they aren't open about their feelings sooner. It drives me crazy when they don't always share their problems with each other sooner. I know it's part of the build up of the story but I am always like, "tell him about your crazy, stalker ex. Let him help." I find myself yelling and arguing with the book. I guess, for me, that is a sign of a good book.

I forgot that this book is in a series and when it came to the end, I wanted more. I have a feeling we readers have not seen the last of Blake. Can't wait to read the next book. Thanks Eleanor Green. great job.

Wow!!

This is my first book by Eleanor and it most definitely won't be my last!! I'll be counting down the days until the second book releases...I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Briley has been dealt a rough blow at the hands of her fiancé. He's a total *jerk*...and that's completely censoring what I want to say. He's torn her down so badly, and I'm sure many of us can relate to a lot of what she's going through. She misses her best friend, Cooper and is finally getting him back.

Cooper. Holy hotness, Cooper!! Yes please!!

He's protective of her, and we get to see and feel exactly how deep his feelings for Briley run.

Wait For Me is written perfectly, and even though there were a few times I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack some sense into her...it didn't detract from the beautiful story that I just had the honor of reading.

Hurry up, Stay With Me!!! I need more!!

This review is from: Wait for Me (LoveStruck Series Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
Such a great Story, Cooper and Briley have been friends since they were kids, he has always been in love with her, and wants to be more than just friends, now he just needs to convince Briley to give him a chance! Blake was such a jerk, he really didn't know how good he had it with Briley, she is a sweet caring person, his loss, and Coopers, gain. Cooper is such a good friend always puts her first, and always looks out for her, he would give up his life for her. Cooper seems rough on the outside, but has a heart of Gold, their friendship is something everybody looks for in life, someone to trust completely, and to give your heart to. I love how Eleanor Green, pulls you in and makes you feel what the characters feel, you feel like your part of them.
Really great book, can such a powerful friendship turn into love, grab this book now and find out.

The book definitely had me double guessing what the next move would be, I was thinking I had an idea of what would happen next but something different happened! I just had to keep reading the rest of the book to find out what ended up happening.

I really liked this book. It's such a great story about Cooper and Briley- you could tell he was so in love with her right from the start. Even to the point of having a friendship with her to just keep her in his life. Until he flips her world upside down upon his prison release by kissing her and fights for her after finding out that her engagement with Blake ended. They both fought a lot of things: feelings, obstacles, stubbornness, and more. Would B be able to realize her feelings for Coop? Would Coop keep fighting for her?

I can't wait to read the second book- I was sad to see the first book end!

I LOVE this book! I have a thing for friends turning into these amazing couples kind of books anyway but this book went above and beyond. The dynamic between Bee and Cooper was refreshing and it took a different path than most stories with the fact that Cooper was doing time for avenging Bee so to speak. So their love story was already taking an unorthodox path, and it took them some time to get together and the will they or won't they tension was pretty intense to where I was shouting "really Bee? Get yourself together!"

Then there is a mystery element that I cannot wait for book 2 to figure out. All of these elements made for a pretty awesome read that was rather refreshingly different. It followed its own path and that will definitely make me pick up book 2.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. This book earned every single one of those 5 stars! I can't believe the story ended like it did (loved the ending). Eleanor Green is an amazing author. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to see where Cooper and Briley's story will go from where they left off. This book is on the longer side and kept my attention throughout the whole thing. Which is great cause most books that are this long sometimes loses my interest, unless the writing is fan-fraking-tastic. I will be getting more books by this author because of the amazing job she did with one.

What an amazing book. Briley is a girl that is coming out of a relationship she thought would last forever and Cooper is her best friend that she has been unable to see for over a year. Bailey needs her best friend to confide in, but what happens when they both have feelings that only 1 is willing to act on?!? There were times when I became frustrated with Briley's actions...but I guess they are to be expected when you are debating whether to cross the line from friends to lovers after being best friends for so many years. There are a few unanswered questions that have me anxiously awaiting the next book!

This was a great friends to lovers story. Eleanor Green's writing made it so easy to fall into the story. Cooper steals your heart with his fierce protectiveness & undying love for Briley.
Briley I wanted to knock upside the head a time or two but overall I could feel her love for Coop and the reasoning on keeping to the friend zone.
Blake was a douche, and a mystery to me (definitely a bit cray cray)- something is definitely up with him .. add in the twist of her parents and im left anxious for more.
I can't wait for the story to continue in book 2 stay with me.

I really enjoyed Wait for Me.
It is a super sweet story about life long friends falling in love and taking it to the next level.
Briley is just out of a relationship that has ended very badly and her confidance has taken a huge hit. She's so afraid of making a wrong move that she is willing to let Cooper go.
Cooper comes home ready to confess his undying love and finds that winning B over is going to take some fight.
Between the back and fourth from Cooper and Briley and the harassment from the ex, this book will keep you turning the pages.
I hope you enjoy!

This was the first work by Eleanor Green that I have ever had the opportunity to read. This is the story of Cooper and Briley, lifelong friends. Cooper, always the self proclaimed protector of Briley. But people grow up, things change. This is a good solid friends to lovers story with great characters that you will love immediately. There is a sequel to this story that there is much anticipation about, but I feel that since there is no major cliffhanger, you could read this as a standalone novel. I would be very interested in reading other stories by this author.
