The storyline for this series is really great. The first book is definitely the best. Unfortunately this last book wasn't developed fully and I was left feeling unsatisfied by the missing pieces. Also I'm not sure what happened between the first and third, but the quality of the writing seemed to greatly decline. The internal dialogue was amateurish and awkward. It's a decent end to the series, but it could've been a lot better.

My Thoughts:
Alright readers, it's story time. So when I first joined the book community about two years ago, I was immediately told one thing: dystopian is dead. Coming right off the book highs of The Hunger Games and Divergent, the book world was fed up with all things dystopian. I won't lie, I really am not a fan of THG, but I loved Divergent, until the end anyway. I couldn't hardly believe that the bookish world could be through with this genre after only a few blockbuster hits. Surely there were more that I had missed. Two years later, I'm still hearing 'dystopian is dead', but you know what? Screw that. Since I've started blogging, I've read no less than ten new and absolutely incredible dystopian series that have absolutely blown other reads out of the water. Who is this 'they' that controls the market and who are they to say what is dead? My friends, if I have anything to say about it, dystopian is certainly not dead. In these two years, one fantastic series managed to slip under my radar. One series that, until I recently met the author, I had no idea existed. Could this 'new' series live up to the greatness of the dystopians before it?
Oh hell yes it did. And then some. The tower of greatness has fallen, my friends, a new author reigns supreme. Have you met Casey L. Bond?
I can honestly say without hesitation that The Harvest Saga is EASILY sitting in my top 5 dystopian series of all time. Yeah people. It was that absolutely incredible. Three novels and I couldn't even stop reading long enough to review them. I devoured this series folks, and if you're smart, you will too!
When it comes to the plot of The Harvest Saga, I can't even really begin to describe it to you in a way that even kind of tells you how awesome it is. If I had to comp it to something, I'd call it The Hunger Games-meets-Children of Men. So basically you have a society divided along resources where the women have become barren. Make sense? In all seriousness, I found The Harvest Saga to be one of the most unique and original creations that I have seen in months. I have never read anything quite like this. With action and plot twists on each and every page, it was one whirlwind adventure that I can't wait to relive again. Oh and did I mention the feels? Sweet Mother of Moses. Feels were caught. So many times. It isn't uncommon to expect heartbreak in a series of this genre, but I was clearly not expecting the level of heartbreak I felt several times. It was incredible. Bond pulled at my heartstrings in the greatest of ways. From Reap's opening paragraph to Reclaim's closing sentence, I was absolutely enveloped in the story Bond has created. I can't say that happens enough!
From the very beginning the series hits the ground running and the action doesn't cease until the nail-biting conclusion that had my heart racing from anticipation! I laughed, I cried, I caught all the feels. Kudos to you Casey Bond, you've crafted a literary masterpiece worthy of the highest of praises.
For me, the greatest part of this series was the characters. Unlike other series, Bond really kept this one with a smaller cast. The series really perfectly followed the storyline of a handful of core characters and didn't ever once stray away from our main objective. Leading to a series that can be read extremely quickly with ease. Something Bond did in this series that I hadn't seen successfully executed many times before was the use of multiple POVs in the story. I don't mean alternating POVs, I mean multiple POVs at some points. I didn't keep a tally, but I'd say at one point there were no less than seven ongoing POVs in this series and I loved each and every one. Incredible. Bond did such a great job in developing her characters that I felt like I was right beside them, feeling their pain and reveling in their triumph with each passing chapter.
One of the great things about this novel in my eyes was the equal representation of gender roles. Far too often I find myself reading from a female author and I experience page after page of male bashing or male characters that are so weak I can hardly finish the story. Not with Bond and this series, both genders and all ages; people from all walks of life are written as equals. Now that's not to say there weren't gender roles in Bond's dystopian, I just, as a male reader, found her interpretation of the society to be a refreshing and rewarding experience.
Bond's setting for The Harvest Saga was deep-seeded in a reality that I didn't find too far from the realm of possibility. While technology definitely played a huge role in the story, I really didn't find the story to be bogged down on the sci-fi side of things. In fact, most of the technologies present in this futuristic novel are present today. It was very easy to imagine the lifestyle these characters were living in a way in which I could smell the woodsy scent of Orchard and see the towers of Vesuvius right from the comfort of my living room. With true writing talent as Bond's I was transplanted into her world in the greatest of ways. The intricate settings did an incredible job in setting the tone of the story as it changed from place to place.
Oh man. As I mentioned before, this series was one full of feels. More than that, though, it was one full of hard-hitting themes that left me questioning my own place in society. Themes such as family, freedom, privilege, industriousness, growing up, trust, love, and forgiveness were all explored thoroughly in a heartwarming way. Bond clearly wrote this series as a labor of love as the humanity involved is great. You can tell through the pages of this deeply touching trilogy that Bond herself bled into this pages, something I did not take advantage of. This series is as delicate as it is enthralling.
As you guys can clearly see, I developed a deep love for Abby Blue and her plight for the Lessers. Bond's incredible writing style was both creative and gripping. The way she seamlessly flowed from one installment to the next without bogging the reader down with the backlog was an incredible feat as well. In all honesty, I think this series would best be marketed as one massive tome. Selling this in three separate installments is torture to readers who can't get enough. Thankfully. I was fortunate enough to grab The Harvest Saga Box Set just for that reason. I cannot imagine have had to wait for each of these wonderful novels to hit the shelves.
If Casey L. Bond isn't an author you're familiar with, I suggest you rectify that, quick. She's got quite the catalog of reads built up and I cannot wait to devour each and every one.
The Harvest Saga took hold of my book mind and wouldn't let go. I've fought a book hangover for days. With unique and original plotting, exciting characters, and emotion enough to warm the coldest of heart, Bond excels with The Harvest Saga. Move over Suzanne Collins, there's a new Queen of YA Dystopian hot on your tail! It should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone that I am granting all three novels in The Harvest Saga near-perfect 5-star reviews. This will definitely not be the last you hear from me about this series. Be sure to add it to your TBR today. I promise you won't be disappointed!

What seemed to be the lesser evil at the time, Vesuvius makes it apparent that they are actually a far greater evil than Olympus could ever hope to be. Clad appropriately in red, the city shed far more blood than anyone in Orchard could imagine. It's time to reclaim their world for the Lessers. In this thrilling end to the Harvest Saga, I found myself holding by breath in anticipation as I turned the pages. Prepare for tears, both happy and sad. A great ending to an amazing series! I hope our world never drops to such a horrible level as what the Greaters were capable of, but if it does I hope to hold a fraction of the bravery shown by Abby, her friends, and family.

When reading book series, sometimes it’s hard to keep the momentum going to the end but Casey L. Bond pulls it off in the third book of the Harvest series. Because of the events of the last two books, Abby has lost virtually everything she has loved and cared about and like the title of the book she’s done with the games and sets her sights to Reclaim what’s she’s lost. But everything comes at a cost and this ending of the story shows that not everything lost can be reclaimed. While the writing itself is nothing fancy, it gets the point of the story across the pages in its own simple way and I can appreciate that. I thought that she did a good job tying things up and felt satisfied with the story as a whole.

Freedom finally
The Lesser found their Freedom the hard way. They had to endure and struggle along the way. Lives were lost in the pursuit of achieving a more humane life. In the end Abby & Gray, Kyan & Julia got their HEA. Although the final chapter scene where Abby got sick because of the virus was confusing to me. It was never detailed how she recovered from it. She recovered after 2 weeks and her baby is walking and talking while she just gave birth a couple of days. That was kinda odd for me. Nonetheless, it was a happy reunion for all trying to rebuild their lives again.

This is by far one of my favorite series I have read. It is an amazing adventure that I am sad is over.
After everything Abby has already went through, the time is running out to save her and her unborn child. Kyan has a plan though. The stakes are high, if it doesn't work all their lives are in danger and if it does well it could save all lessers. The ending was perfect for the story. My favorite part will always be the part with Greys orange colored eyes...

I really enjoyed this series, but was thrown off when I started "Resist". I had "Reap" several weeks before and with many other books in between. So when I read "Resist," it felt strange that there was no recap. So it took me a while to remember it all and get into it. I read "Reclaim" immediately after and realised that again, no recap...so infact the 3 books could be made as one. Reclaim started exactly where Resist ended... and just kept going!
So a hint...read the series in order, and back to back, to get the full impact! And enjoy!!

3.5/5 I'm torn with this one. I really liked the series but the ending seemed rushed and not as fully developed. The first half of the book was more true to the story than the last half. It wasn't a horrible book but there were definitely parts that I thought should have had more attention paid to them. It just left you feeling a "seriously, what just happened" vibe to a series that had a lot of potential.

Stayed up to late finishing this, the last, in the series. There is drama, laughter, tears. But in such a wonderfully written way. I’ll be rereading the series eventually.
Casey Bond is a brilliant author. Read this series. You’ll be glad you did.
I would highly recommend this for tweens and up. I’m 61, shhhhh, and I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed The Harvest Saga but this book left me feeling a little wanting. There were some things tied up but some parts didn’t add to the story and it needs a decent edit with bits not making sense or contradicting other parts.
The ending left me with a ‘to be continued’.
Definitely worth reading the series and therefore this book -but it didn’t end as strong as it started.

Amazing series
So dystopian yet it had so much HEA in it as well. She picked the right characters to live and die and she wrote such beautiful and articulate words. I was a little scared in the end but it turned out just like I had wanted it to.

Reclaim
Final book in the Harvest trilogy. Loved these books. Each one progressively got better & I would read until my reader’s battery died & then pick up my phone & continue reading on that! Sad that it’s over but it did have an appropriate ending/closure.

Great Ending
I will have to say I was on edge by the last half this book. I stayed up later then normal n finished the book. I was more terrified it was going to end like Divergent, and Casey L. Bond surprised me with an ending that greatly appreciated.

The first book in this series grabbed my attention, the second book peaked my interest, and the third book left me wanting MORE!! I think you could add at least one more book … marianns baby, Elle …? Siblings ???

This was a book that just didn't work for me. I feel so blah about the ending of this series. I just feel so conflicted.
The first book in the series is one that I enjoyed greatly. The second had a different vibe from the first, but I still enjoyed it. This book felt like filler. Like a means to an end. Like the author just wasn't trying to surprise us anymore. The first half of the book was okay. The second half was just too fast paced and forceful. It felt like the author was just trying to finish the book for the sake of finishing it. Just throwing some end in there and getting it over with. I was so hoping for a more substantial ending. The ending was uneventful and it could be seen from a mile away.
I still love this dystopian world. The basic idea behind the first book was clever and I liked that it wasn't something that I've read before. The second and third books have the same kind of idea, but it is stretched out a bit.
The character development seemed to end after the second book. I didn't feel like there was any character growth in this book, which saddened me.
As a whole, the series is one I would recommend, but this book did nothing for me. The dystopian world is interesting, but development peters out by the third book. The ending of this book feels like a cop out instead of a true ending. If there were Cliffs Notes for this book, I would have gone that route instead.

Abby has been through the wringer, nearly losing her life several times in her fight for survival. In a society that only values Greaters, Lessers are forced to work hard for others. But when the Greaters want to take even more from them, the Lessers start to rebel--quietly at first because they are in need of a leader. They need Abby.
The stakes are high and not everyone will make it. Will Abby, and her unborn child, survive? Can Abby really change society and make life better for all humans?
I love strong female characters. Very few things make me happier than seeing a young woman stand up for what she believes in. Abby is strength personified. Still, she has her moments of doubt and fear. Being pregnant with her first child only makes her more fierce. But it will take more than one person to make changes, and there are many amazing characters backing her up. In addition to her mother and father, Gray and Kyan (who both love her in different ways) will do anything to make sure she survives.
After loving the first two books in this series, Reap and Resist, I was a bit concerned how the series would end. Would I be satisfied? Would I be disappointed? Fortunately, there was nothing to fear. Casey L. Bond knocked it out of the park. In addition to romance, emotions, and good versus evil, she gives the reader an epic adventure with no guarantee of how it will turn out. You'll hold your breath until the very last page.
If you are looking for a series that starts as strongly as it finishes, look no further. The Harvest Saga series is a real winner.

After loving the first two books in this series, Reap and Resist, I was a bit concerned how the series would end. Would I be satisfied? Would I be disappointed? Fortunately, there was nothing to fear. Casey L. Bond knocked it out of the park. In addition to romance, emotions, and good versus evil, she gives the reader an epic adventure with no guarantee of how it will turn out. You'll hold your breath until the very last page.
If you are looking for a series that starts as strongly as it finishes, look no further. The Harvest Saga series is a real winner.

Really enjoyed this series
The only issue I had was Gray. I just didn't get a good description on him, so he was never fully formed in my head, which was unfortunate since he was such an important character. Because of his fuzziness as a character, I had a hard time rooting for him to be with Abby.

Amazing!
This was an amazing ending to an amazing series! It was so full of action and felt like a movie was actually playing out instead of reading a book. I could clearly picture everything that was going on because of her amazing detail. This book had me holding my breath at times and balling my eyes out at others. I loved the strength that each character showed in this book. I'm sad that this series has come to an end but it was an amazing journey that I highly recommend to all readers of all ages!!

This was such a good wrap up of the whole story! I was in tears in many parts of this third book. I cannot recommend this book enough if you have never read them you really should pick them up you won't be disappointed!

What an amazing finale to one of my most favorite dystopian series in a long, long time!!! The author built an amazing world, and she intertwined a gripping love story into the mix, so the book and the series kept my interest and kept me turning pages throughout! You should definitely read these books in order, but I highly recommend Reclaim to anyone who has read Reap and Resist!!! If you haven't read those yet, you should definitely get them NOW!!! ;)

Bond has astounded me yet again with her tale of Abby Blue and the Orchard Village. Bond's third story In the Harvest Saga, Reclaim was everything I had hoped for and more. The struggle was real, the fight was forceful, the villains were evil and the great good was unbelievably good. Bond did an exceptional job at closing out one of my favorite reads of the year. I can't wait to continue to see what she has in store for her readers in other wonderful series.

I think this was a pretty decent end. I don't quite agree with the way things worked out for the lessers, but I do think Queen Lilith got what she deserved. I feel like the ending was pretty rushed with Abby catching the virus and then being okay just a few pages later. It was almost like it was a plot point that was put in at the last second and then given up on not too far after. Things wrapped up nicely enough, but for me if just didn't live up to how good the last two books were.

I got to meet this beautiful author and I bought the paperback at the Books and Bourbon event, the next day I started reading it and could. not. put. it. down! I love this series and this story! The characters are great and I just love Casey's writing!

Amazing End to a Great series
I loved this story so much. The hope and determination of the Lessers. Abby, Gray, and Kyan have a permanent place in my heart. I highly recommend the Harvest saga to fans of dystopian, those who like to root for the underdog, or anyone who enjoys an exciting adventure with a satisfying conclusion.

Three and three quarter stars here. I LOVED the first book but was a little disappointed here. Perhaps it had less editing. I still finished it, and the ultimate story worked mostly very well. I think I was just a little old (33) for this storyline and the way it went though it ultimately concluded very well.
