Laure Edwards Reminick is a former financial journalist whose first drafts of fiction continue to sound like that line from the old television series, Dragnet: just the facts, ma’am. Then the real fun begins: Make life complicated for the protagonist.

She is writing fiction now because she wanted to read more stories that: excite with adventure, uplift with characters with whom she’d love to hang out, and evoke the depth of consciousness she’s come to appreciate.

Laure is from Texas and happily lived in New York City for many years. She now lives in the middle of the U.S., and enough out into the countryside to have almost as many critters as flowers in her garden.

She learned to meditate in 1975 and became a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique in 1978. We won’t try to add up the years that would make that possible. Wherever she’s lived, she’s taught the TM technique.
