Born in Tehran in 1977 and raised in Osaka Prefecture.
After graduating with a law degree from Kansai University, Nishi made her debut as a novelist with Aoi in 2004. Her sophomore novel Sakura became a best-seller next year. She is also known for her novels Tsutenkaku, Kofuku Midori no and Entaku.
Read through this book in one sitting. I still didn't like Takako, Ayumu's sister, but she gave a great message that people should focus on what they want to do with their lives, not compare themselves to others. It was a very moving story, and I now understand why the childhood story of Ayumu over 300 pages was necessary.
