The BONETTI FAMILY IS BACK… and all I’m saying is everybody needs some damn THERAPY. A kidnapping gone wrong, loose ends tied up, and maybe even a little rekindling….👀
The most independent and stubborn FMCs both of them. As unhinged and crazy as Luca and Royal are why would these women defy them at every turn? Imagine falling in love with the son of the man you unalived...do you think his love will be reciprocated? La Nova surely will find out when it comes to Luca. Royal and Amaris just had me giggling with both their crazy selves. But they do say crazy recognize crazy. A fantastic time with this series. And please, read the first book A DON'S LOVE or you surely will be lost.
Loved the continuation of Luca and La’Nova’s story. Hopefully the missing pieces of their story gets answered at a later date, ie did they get married? How have the twins handled the marriage and possibility of more kids being born? How has Luca’s ex gf handling everything since La’Nova has to train her and she has to watch the man she loves love someone else? Those questions I wish would be answered because their story is truly beautiful in my eyes. However, I wish we would’ve gotten more of Roy (Capo) love story. Being that the first book dove so heavily into Luca (Don) love story, it seems as if a lot is missing from Capo’s. Yes we got deeper into what he went through as a child and some of his substance abuse but it felt surface level. Same thing with Amaris. We got introduced to a new character and it seems like there’s more to her story that we didn’t get to see. Comparing it to how A Don’s story was with both Luca and La’Nova discovering things about themselves and each other. It feels as if a Capo’s love didn’t give the same vibe. I love a good mafia story which it was. I would’ve liked to go deeper between Roy and Amaris tho
Part 2 was worth the wait! Despite the typos, the book was well written. Girl, the emotional tear jerking scenes had a thug about to cry! Lol I think you should definitely give us a 3/5 year update....
Everyone deserves love, even those that don’t think so. Sometimes going down that rabbit hole is needed. You may find the truth that needed to move forward. Your heart & mind will become one when needed. Let’s chat!
I love me some Luca and this read just made me love him so much more. I didn’t care much for Royal aka Capo at first but this read allowed me to understand him more. Don’t get me wrong, he’s rude as ever but still gave him a pass.
Now when it came to Luca & La’Nova, I understood both sides. Just Nova acted on hers. Do I agree with her holding a secret after all that has happened? - not all. Do I agree on how Luca responded? - no but I understood. However, once all said and done, she acted accordingly as she should. I still love me some Cain & Abel and cannot wait to learn more about them. I already know they about to be a force to be reckoned with. One thing I loved about Nova was her heart, acceptance and her love for Luca. She understood how to love him based off her own pain and the same with Luca when it came to Nova. She also open heartedly accepted and love all that loved Luca and that he loved. My girl heart was pure. Finding out the truth made it so much easier to accept what was right in front of her. When it came to Luca , listen when he was able to love who he wanted openly and his family he became a big silent teddy bear. The vulnerable side is him melted my heart. Him showing Cain & Abel that it’s ok for men to feel, pulled at all my emotions. Then when man was willing to do what was needed to use his voice and speak again, babe.
Then there’s Royal! This man here had it rough so his behavior is slightly understood. Learning the truth about who you are and where you come from as an adult can only hit different, I imagine. Then to remember how it was growing up and distancing your self from the first woman you ever loved - your mom, I can only imagine is hard. So in my opinion, he did the things he did as a defense mechanism, including paying for satisfaction and an ear to listen. From jump I knew Serenity wasn’t for him. She more for self, that was until someone else got his attention - Amaris. Listen, the way he went about her had me in tears. He kind of met his match when it came to her. My only issue with that was her father. He was weird - lol. Oh but she shut that down once that sample was received. Once thing for sure, the spicy chemistry was there. But the what he keeps saying to her had me tears - musty kitty. Ya boy got a taste of a BBW and didn’t know how to handle at first but bet he won’t go back. Sometimes you never know where you will find your peace.
Can’t write this review without mentioning Lucille, the their mother. That karma was real. Ain’t no way, she did that. Greed is not a good way to go. Ya girl karma was a complete circle. I have to admit how Luca felt after was all said and done pulled at my heartstrings cause I could only imagine.
Those that know, know I rock with MP the way. Queen didn’t disappoint with this follow up. She followed up very well from A Don’s Love. She showed that everyone deserves love. She showed that love is not always easy and it’s ok to forgive. Can’t wait to as this to my shelf.
This was truly a story of healing. Everyone got some closure despite all the pain they went through. Cain and Abel are such good, thoughtful, and loving kids. And I love that Luca has embraced all of their siblings ❤️
Final thoughts: - Lucille’s death was not painful enough to me considering everything she’s done. It felt anticlimactic in the moment. - It was nice to get closure of everything but I wish we had gotten more of Roy and Amiris. Their love story could have been fleshed out more - Roy is overly freaked out lol. The toes??? 😩 He’s a fool cuz where did he get Breastaurant from 😂 - Mari is supposed to be a strong woman but she folded way too easy when her dad started treating her like a fucking child with the ultimatum and the way he was talking to her. I’m not saying she should have said fuck her dad but she could have put up some fight and told him about himself. She just went back to the status quo - I still don’t think Luca and La’Nova should have ended up together. They were definitely trauma bonded and I personally think Luca deserved better. I’m still mad she hasn’t learned sign language yet and only mentioned “planning” to learn after they discussed getting married 😒 - I hate the hidden pregnancy trope - I still like Nova as a strong FMC. She worked towards the things she wanted and did not let anyone derail her plans. I love that she got reunited with her aunt and uncle ❤️ - I’m excited to get Serenity’s story!

I love happy endings. Who doesn't? But for Amaris to capture Royal when his intent was only to have her for 48 hrs, mannn, when she bent over, he had no idea he was done for. She wasn't Street or mafia even though she grew up pampered because of that world. But she had no problem speaking her mind. Spoiled, yes. Still grown about business but tolerated her father a bit too much. Mostly compensating for the lack of any love from her mother. Then came Royal. I know I wanted La’Nova away from Luca, not because the love wasn't real. Just the opposite. I didn't see either getting past the pasts that connected them so negatively. Then came Novae. Fate made sure their love that couldn't be denied or separated. The best things are both ladies could see the pain and hurt beyond the faces before them. They even felt their pain totally away from them and never let those times pass without showing up with actions and or words of encouragement and building letting them know your pain doesn't make you weak, it makes you human but you're never alone. Loved this down. Especially how Nova expressed to Cain she was sorry for leaving and it would never happen again. How Novae made Luca feel was so touching each and every time. Serenity, ehh. Do I care? Not right now. Will I read it? Sho the heck is...lol! Amazing follow up!!
A Capo’s Love was everything I wanted to wrap up this storyline! I loved getting to see Royal finally find his forever while also continuing Luca and Novah Baby’s journey. Seeing how their story evolved was one of my favorite parts.
One thing I really enjoyed was the multiple POVs. It gave so much depth to the story and let us experience the emotions and motivations of the different characters. Amaris was such a standout for me, and I was rooting for her from the beginning. Royal definitely needed to redirect his energy outside of House of Angels, and I’m glad he finally did.
Meanwhile, Luca and Roy are still dealing with the fallout from family betrayals, reminding us exactly what kind of time these men are on when loyalty is broken. The action, the family drama, and the romance all came together so well.
Now… can we talk about the fact that I keep ending up reading books where women get kidnapped and then don’t want to leave? 😂 Apparently that’s become my accidental trope.
And listen… the one thing I absolutely was not expecting? The feet scene. I literally paused and said, “Whaaaat?!” 😂
If you’ve been invested in this series, this was a satisfying conclusion that gives you romance, family, loyalty, revenge, and plenty of moments that’ll have you talking.
A Capo’s Love”: Chaos, Charisma, and a Whole Lot of Heart
authoress masterpiece really said “let me give the people everything” and then delivered. This book has it ALL — love, loyalty, a body count you didn’t see coming, and a main character who is unhinged in the absolute best way.
Our MMC? Royal. Quick-witted, smart-mouthed, and dangerously charming — the kind of character who has you laughing one page and gasping the next. I was clutching my pearls more than once, not gonna lie. The banter is chef’s kiss, the tension is thick, and just when you think you’ve caught your breath, something happens that has you shook all over again.
What really gets me is the writing itself — smooth, sharp, addictive pacing that keeps you turning pages way past when you should’ve put the book down. And the way every single storyline got wrapped up by the end? Chef. Kiss. No loose threads, no “wait what happened to—”, just a satisfying, full-circle finish that left me sitting there like “wow, okay, we’re really done.”
If you love mafia romance with heart, humor, and just enough chaos to keep you on your toes — this one’s for you. 🖤🔪
Masterpiece knows she wrote tf outta this book! I’m not new to this I’m true to this. So I knew it was going to be a ride! Babyyyyyyyyy I love me some Royal Bonetti!!!😍❤️He is everything! It’s the BDE for me! He said he a boss and he need to boss his woman up too! Amaris stuck like chuck so she might as well embrace it cus Royal not playing with Lauren. He values ana and protects his woman. It’s showin up in his actions. Luca and LaNova are still one of my favorites. He makes sure she has her hearts desire no matter what it is . He’s a really good man and I’m glad he is getting his love life under control. I really enjoyed this book. I locked in from page one and didn’t stop til the last page!! 10/10 highly recommend
Roy & Amaris were the side characters although this book was titled A Capo’s Love. I wish we got more of them instead of them only being 20% of the book. I wanted more of his and Amaris’s connection shown and how they developed; not just the one time romance and that was it. Roy’s past was traumatic for him and we didn’t get to see him truly blossom like we got to see Luca. I was highly saddened by this, because again… this was supposed to be Roy’s book based on the title; he got the shorthand of it all. However, I am happy that Luca and Nova Baby were able to prevail and Nova Baby’s reveal at the end to Luca was so warming.
I truly enjoyed this book and it was definitely a great continuation from book 1!!!… Royal was beyond hilarious, even when he should have been serious!!!…I love his friendship/relationship with Breastaraunt!!!…I hollered when he 1st it!!!… My heart truly broke for Luca, because although he knew he did what was needed, he loved his momma, but that ache behind losing his father was even greater!!!… I was happy La’Nova returned and did not attempt to run again, because I know that would have hurt him, especially with his baby girl!!!…
This book was very good and the series is chef’s 💋. This book was fun to read you had the deep & sad moments, but you also had the fun moments. I loved the twins and how easy Lucas and Ro Ro accepted and loved them. The humor was very good, “This man gave me butterflies, not roaches like most men did.” I loved that with all the trauma these couples endured they still were able to find love and was trying to break the cycle for the next generation.
This series kept me engaged and entertained. There were so many layers to unpack and twists revealed over time. These characters were going through it! I took off one star due to the amount of typos and discrepancies in the story. It wasn’t distracting to the point of disrupting the reading experience but they were very noticeable and hard to ignore. But other than that loved the bit of suspense, humor, romance and depth of the characters. I actually would be interested in cain and abel having a book with them as adults.
This was a good wrap up for Luca and La’Nova. I HATED the way she did him, but loved how much she loved him in the end. The way I speed read through their chapters to get to Royal and Amaris! I wanted so much more from their story. I wanted this book to be more about them but the load was equally spread. Each story carried its own uniqueness which made the book enjoyable. Go in knowing, we are getting a lot of Luca and La’Nova. Good story and wrap up. I hate to say it, I don’t need Serenity’s story. I’ll await Raith though!
When I tell you all you need to know is that you need to read this book, that is all you need to know. My good sis does an amazing job at bring this story to life, all the things left unanswered in A Don's love is wrapped up beautifully within these 400+ pages. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT TAKE SLANDER!!!
With every book that she write, we get to see new layers of her as a writer. Trust me you will not be disappointed!!💜
Man this book was serious but it was funny as hell and I love it I love it I love it I need to see them get married though I need to see everybody get married I need to see what's going to happen with the kids I need a Nova the old gas ass one good time she seem like she need her ass with one good time and I think baby girl going to have to whip serenity ass one time too just once
I was not expecting Roy to end up with Amaris. I guess I love my girl Serenity even though she fucked up, I’m happy he found what he needed though. I was beyond happy for Luca bear and Nova baby. The power of Love! I loved to see them building their beautiful family and overcoming past traumas and grief. A great read as always. Til the next great read comes out. Btw I LOVED seeing a glimpse of MONSTER DECEBAL’s beautiful self.
This story brims with emotion, drama, redemption, and unforgettable moments. Roy and Amara's journey proves that love isn't always easy, but it's worth the fight. Masterpiece delivers a powerful story about brokenness, healing, and the people who stand by you through it all. Luca and LaNovia were twin flames destined to create an unforgettable love story, find family to reclaim wholeness, and build the family they needed growing up.
How could anyone not love Royal?!? It was a tie for the best character between Royal and Amaris! But the vulnerability in this boy has me crying one minute and then laughing the next. I loved how “A Don’s Love” was so amazingly entwined with “A Don’s Love.” While we all know Luca is my first love, Roy has to be my second but not on some Lucille type shit lmao. This was an amazing ending to this part of the series. I need posters so I can put my men up on the wall Mrs. Masterpiece.
I experienced every emotion imaginable reading this book. Both Royal and Luca experienced so much pain. It’s so beautiful that they were able to come out on top despite their past pain. Masterpiece knows she can write a book because the stuff that came out of Royals mouth was hilarious. I still wanna know how she came up with the name Breasturant!!!!! Bottom line I loved this book!!!!
Mannn Masterpiece always does me good with her writing but her brain is something else. She had me cracking up from start to finish especially Roy, that man is blunt and nasty. And I love the follow up to a Dons love…They overcame everything to be with one another to truly love each other despite their own hurt and trauma. I loved the story
I loved the book cause it gave me closure I was looking for with Luca and La’Nova. But I wanted to see more of Royal and Amaris. I loved there characters. For it to be his book I just wanted more of him, it was like I was left looking for more when it came to them. Would love for him to have his own stand alone in some way. But this was a good read 🩵🩵🤞🏾‼️‼️
This book hit just like book 1 even though book 1 will forever have my heart ❤️. Learning ro-ro (inside book joke) story was great it explained a lot of why he is the wua he is. Finding love finally was amazing for him i felt it before he recognized it. Looking forward to the nwxt book in the series. I hope masterpiece gives amaris her on book as well something tells me its something there.
Okay so this book gave what I needed and I am grateful. I needed to make sure that Royal and Luca brotherhood remained intact. His mother was a piece of work like whattt! Roy crazy and although he is nasty in the sheets he didn’t mind any kind of sex and that’s a bit much. Yet his commentary was so funny! This was a great end to a great story.
I had no idea that Royal was so funny. The way he came in on Amaris and read her soul on the first interaction was everything. Don’t get it wrong she’s not a damsel in distress. She gave back the same energy. Amaris father is a bi**h. I really enjoyed Lucas and Nova baby conclusion.
If you haven’t read A Don’s Love first, Capo’s Love will leave you confused, emotional, and missing half the story.
This book gave romance, loyalty, tension, and just enough chaos to keep me hooked. I’m fully invested in this series and already waiting for the next one.
I must say i am glad this is in first person. It was hard for me to get through a Don's Love for that reason alone. But this story was easier to follow. It wrapped up so many things from book 1. I really enjoyed getting to see another side of Royal.
I LOVED A Dons Love and patiently waited on this book and Authoress Masterpiece did NOT disappoint again she had me in a chokehold couldn't put it down!! LOVED it just as much!!
