Starshipped picks up not long after the events of Starfalling, slipping you right back into the momentum of the series. If you’ve read my reviews of Stardusted and Starfalling, you already know how much I adored both books. Elle Deyesso’s writing is consistently brilliant. Her world building and character work making it effortless to fall straight into the narrative.
Across the series, the stakes have been steadily climbing. In this book, they finally hit their crescendo. It shifts from high stakes to end of the world stakes so fast it leaves your heart racing. The escalation is sharp, intense, and absolutely gripping.
One of the things I was most excited for was finally seeing Amelia and Bast meet and I was so not disappointed. Their dynamic crackles from the moment they’re on the page together, and I absolutely adored the tension and banter between them. Every interaction had me absolutely grinning with delight!
The romance between Raven and Sky continues to deepen in the most breathtaking way. Unfolding with quiet tenderness and electric chemistry that makes every moment between them feel unforgettable. It’s beautifully bittersweet to watch them finally understand the full weight of what they mean to each other, especially with the looming heartbreak of knowing Sky will soon return to his people.
Without giving too much away, I sobbed through the final chapters of this book. Full body, heart shattered, absolutely not okay sobbing. I was so wrecked I even sent a photo to the wonderful Elle herself just to prove how devastated I was!
If you’re craving end of the world stakes alongside a beautifully heartbreaking romance, this is absolutely the book for you.

All good things must come to an end and this was an incredible conclusion to its definitely not aliens series.
Rae must come to decision can she let Sky go after all they have been through. She’s exhausted from all the running and hiding not only from the Enil but also from shady government agents.
She misses home and especially her friend Amelia and once she reunites with her, she explains everything to her hating that she had to keep it all a secret.
And just when Rae thinks that returning to a normal life that everything will be ok, the killer robots have returned, they are back for her because she holds the key to finding Skys home world 🪐
Now they have a world to save and with the help of Amelia and Skys friend Bast, the will try to defeat the Enil but for Rae the hardest part of it all is knowing she will have to say goodbye to Sky 🥺🥺
I loved every minutes of reading this, I couldn’t be it down and it’s definitely by favourite book in the series. I love that we get to see more of Bast and Amelia and the banter between is top tier, he knows how to push her buttons and he infuriates her but underneath it all he cares for her all well. What can I say about Rae and Sky for what they’ve been through this series, you could feel it through out the book that time wasn’t on their side and when Sky said this to her “You’re my thing, Rae.” there’s so much emotion to it. Her beautiful Sky, his become her home and she would sacrifice everything for him “I wanted to burn with him. Even if this was the last time.”

“I didn't want to leave. And I didn't want him to leave. Because I was hopelessly in love with him.”
“ I was deeply, mady in love with Sky Acosta. And I had no idea how I was going to survive goodye”
Slipping back into the series not long after starfalling left off. I absolutely love this series. The world building was perfect and the characters relatable. I was in suspense throughout the whole series. The tension buildup. Such a gripping read and a unique take. Amelia and bast have such intense connection. Every interaction had me grinning and on the edge of my seat with excitement. Raven and skies chemistry continues to grow and deepin with such electric chemistry. I could feel the tension. I couldn’t get through this book fast enough. I was in tears by the end and I’m not ready to leave this world. I’m so excited to read Amelia and basts very own duet! I was sighing with relief.
Overall, I fully enjoyed this book, this series. There’s so much going on to keep you immersed: alien technology, government, secrets, Roswell UFO mystery, and the best part in my opinion; was the emotional death, the wonderful pacing; all swept me up in the story and kept me hooked. The with banter, the electric undeniable chemistry, found family and slow burn romance with aliens!? Just trust me you do not want to miss out on this!

I LOVED THIS SERIES! I only cried once while reading this one—so clearly, I handled this very well. 😂🥹👽
I absolutely flew through this ARC and loved it! STARSHIPPED is the third book in the It’s Definitely Not Aliens trilogy, and I’m not ready to say goodbye to Sky or Rae, or this wonderfully weird ‘not’ alien universe.
STARSHIPPED releases September 24! 🚀🛸
Thank you, Elle DeYesso, for letting me join the flight crew and read an early copy! 🫶🏻

I was lucky enough to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this! I love this series SO much, I tried to make this book last as long as possible by only reading a little bit at a time.. buuut that didn’t work because it was too good, and I couldn’t put it down. The author writes in such a clever way. Rae’s thoughts continue to be, at times heartbreaking, and at times hysterically funny. There are so many moments in this book (and this whole trilogy!) that have had me genuinely laughing out loud (the freaking chapter titles get me every time!) The comedy is just perfect. It’s quippy and clever without trying too hard or being too over the top.
It’s a very talented author who can pull off actually funny comedy, high-stakes action, a swoony love story and well developed characters in the same story and just nail everything SO well. The way she writes is really impressive.
Starshipped picks up right where the previous book left off, so the stakes are high.. Rae, Sky and Bast are on the run. Things are tense and dangerous for our protagonists. That feeling of tension remains throughout the novel, it doesn’t really let up, and really lends an ‘un-putdownable’ quality to the book. As a reader, you can tell the crap is about to hit the fan, so the first quarter of the book is really spent waiting for the other shoe to drop. Once the ‘finale action’ gets started, it really goes at full blast- it’s a thrill ride avalanche of an ending. I stayed up till 3am finishing it! The author crafts these action scenes SO well.. it plays out in your head like a film.. and there’s plenty of action in this novel. The antagonists - the Enil- continue to be one of the more original, unique villains I’ve ever read about. I dunno how the author even came up with them, but they’re so cool, and pretty dang creepy, to be honest.
While there are quite a few great action pieces, there are also plenty of nice, slower paced scenes that really expand on the character development and the development of the relationships between the different characters. Rae continues to be a wonderfully well written narrator, her character has really grown throughout these books and I genuinely love her to death. Her relationship with Sky is the BEST. He’s very swoony.. the perfect book boyfriend. One thing in particular that I appreciate is the communication between all of the characters, but especially Rae and Sky.. its like.. the opposite of the miscommunication trope (which is probably my least favorite trope..) the two of them communicate so well, it is so refreshing. There is some angst happening between Rae and Sky as they fall in love with each other, and it is written well and their relationship feels very real. It’s just such a well-written and well developed love story between Sky and Rae.. I could read like 20 books about it, I swear. As with the previous book, there are some open-door spicy scenes.. and again, they’re well written and very sweet.
Speaking of relationships! We get the beginnings of a new fun one in this book! Rae’s best friend Amelia has her own POV in this book. I think this was a good call by the author. At this point, Rae has fully accepted the existence of aliens (because.. it’s definitely aliens..) so bringing in Amelia’s narration serves well as the voice of the audience, as Amelia experiences how crazy Rae’s situation is. Amelia and her POV is a great foil for Rae. The pairing of Amelia and Bast also serves as a great contrast to Rae and Sky - where Rae and Sky are drama and a bit of angst.. Bast and Amelia are just hot, flirtatious fun. There are instant sparks between Amelia and Bast and ooooh my goodness am I excited to continue to read about that. I need more of them.. pronto! They have a very fun, fantastic dynamic together (the kitchen scene?! ..yes please.. Bast can make me some alien-produced coffee any day.)
I think this was the perfect ending to Rae and Sky’s story! I was unsure of how it was going to end, but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. Great action, laugh-out-loud comedic elements, A+ book boyfriends, really cute love story and some seriously fantastic characters! I’ve never read anything quite like it.. an sci-fi rom-com really is the perfect description. I absolutely adore this trilogy! ALL of the stars <3

Ahhh, what an Earth-shattering, errr, or should I say planet-shattering? ride! First of all, I couldn't believe the It's Definitely Not Aliens trilogy was now coming to an end. Secondly, I also couldn't believe that even after two full-length installments, Sky and Rae's slow-burn romance was STILL BURNING! Admittedly, I knew their relationship wasn't the main plot here, especially when both the Earth and Sky's hometown, Pladia, were in serious jeopardy, but hey, as a proud romance reader, a gal gotta pay as much attention to their romance as the rest of the alien invasion. *daydreaming*
Although there were so many missed opportunities (AGAIN!!) between Sky and Rae that made me want to jump into the story just tostrangle knock some sense into them so they could finally declare the little three words to each other, the overall pace leading up to the final crescendo in this book was really well-thought-out. Aside from the typically action-packed elements like the first two books, what I appreciated most was the POV from Rae's best friend, Amelia. Honestly, I didn't expect to see her viewpoint in this book since she was more like a secondary character along with Sky's space mission partner, the "Alien Tech God", Bast, so getting to navigate the alien invasion and post apocalypse with her was such a cherry on top.
What's more, the last 15%-20% of the book was THE MOST HEARTBREAKING, GUT-WRENCHING, and INCREDIBLY UNPREDICTABLE in this entire trilogy, in my opinion. One second, I was bawling like a big baby with my heart breaking into a million pieces after learning what happened with all these beloved characters, Sky, Rae, Amelia, and Bast, and then all of a sudden, I was bursting into happy tears for the plot twist I didn't see coming at the very end. *teary eyes & snotty nose*
Anyways, all I could say was that I couldn't have asked for a more perfect happily ever after for Sky and Rae. Starshipped beautifully wrapped up the whole series and the dearest author, Elle, even left us all a little SURPRISE. Guess what? My favorite side characters, Amelia and Bast, are getting their own DUET!! It's coming in 2027 so stay tuned! This extraordinary extraterrestrial adventure will go on and I can barely contain my excitement! *squeeeeee*
Alrighty, it goes without saying that I'd HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series! Please do yourself a favor and go one-click the trilogy and preorder the duet when it's available. Buckle up & welcome aboard, Earthlings! <3
***Massive thanks to the author for generously providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.***

I went into this, of course, being very concerned about how the story of Sky & Raven will end. I was on edge the whole time as expected as things are intense. I finished it, and now as I’m writing this review, I’m about to re-read again. The first time through I was anxious, but this time I’m going to savor it and let myself enjoy the story. The intensity & stakes of this book was such that it was a bit hard for me to stay present within the story, as I was constantly worried about the next moment and ultimately the end. Which ultimately meant I felt how the characters felt. The dread that Raven felt, the sense of chaos that Amelia found herself suddenly in, Sky & Bast having to demand they all skedaddle and scram immediately, whenever things got even worse. I’m also intrigued about Bast & Amelia, their dynamic is so funny.
When Sky mentioned a detail about the skin synth.. I was so curious & worried how this was going to work. I am pleased with how their story ended. A part of me wanted the HEA to be achieved a certain way I thought could be interesting, but I am very happy about how it actually turned out. Thank you to the author for providing an ARC, thank you for writing this trilogy, and I am so excited and tuned into what comes next!

Starshipped is such a fun, emotional, and satisfying conclusion to the It’s Definitely Not Aliens trilogy!
Raven and Sky’s story had me completely invested from beginning to end, and this final installment brings everything together with plenty of action, romance, humour, found-family moments, and just the right amount of chaos.
I loved the mix of high-stakes alien adventure and slow-burn romance. Raven continues to be such a relatable, entertaining heroine, and her relationship with Sky brings all the feelings. There’s plenty happening with the alien technology, government secrets, killer robots, and the mystery surrounding the Roswell UFO, but the emotional heart of the story is what really stood out to me.
The banter, the chemistry, and the friendships made this series such an enjoyable ride. And while there were definitely moments that had me stressed and wondering how everything could possibly work out, the payoff was worth it.
A fantastic ending to a quirky, addictive sci-fi romance series. If you enjoy aliens, found family, witty banter, slow-burn romance, and a healthy dose of chaos, this series is definitely worth checking out.

It was definitely aliens.
I was absolutely ecstatic to receive an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Since I am forced to be "honest" -- I think I cried more than once. Embarrassing since some of the reading was done in waiting rooms. 🤣
This is the third book in the trilogy, so if you haven't read "Stardusted" and "Starfalling" yet, you're going to want to get right on that. The author wastes no time in ramping up from high stakes to end-of-the-world stakes. While this book doesn't take itself too seriously (RomCom meets killer robots from outer space, anyone?) it's impossible to miss the rising chemistry between skeptical human Rae and undercover alien Sky... especially as Rae struggles with the alien tech in her head. Speaking of chemistry, the unresolved tension between Amelia and Bast begs for another book...or two.
The plot twist at the end? Chef's Kiss. I promise this is an HEA (Happily Ever After) ending.
If you love scifi with a touch of RomCom, out-of-this-world world building, and characters you want to hug and possibly strangle at the same time...look no further.
"Starshipped" beams down on September 24th. You won't want to miss it.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy (street team) & Rattle The Stars PR for introducing us 2 books ago.
I may be a bit biased as this series has a special place in my heart, and the author is the sweetest human being. Where to begin...
From the beginning I was hooked with the combination of cozy sci fi romance, combined with teeth clenching terror along the journey. It's like a warm hug, but sometimes makes your butt clench. Sky & Rae are beautiful together, knowing they are leading up to goodbye makes everything so bittersweet.
Bob, I would 1000% adopt you as my grandpa, ya know, if you were real.
Bast, Alien Tech God is a well earned name. You're my type and I love you. Amelia, just the absolute best of friends and a true gem. I love them all so much.
The writing style is just so fun, it reels you in from the start. The titles of each chapter always leaves me giggling. Your books are out of this world, Elle.

Wow, this was amazing! The banter in this was top notch. The pop culture sci-fi references had me rolling. There are chapter titles and they're all hilarious. I absolutely devoured this book. It was also emotional and I cried a lot near the end. This has instantly become a favorite for me. Raven is strong even if she doesn't believe it. She has a ton thrown at her, alien technology, killer robot, hot aliens, potentially the end of Earth and she powers through all of it. Sky is adorable and I liked him instantly. He's steadfast, super patient and caring. Amelia, Raven's best friend is snarky and I loved her. Bast, is well, Bast and he is hilarious. He may be a little arrogant, but he proved he's got the chops to back it up. This book was so much fun! I need at least 10 more in this series please and thank you. Thank you to the author for the advanced copy.

I LOVED this book. The humor is well woven through the story alongside emotional and action-packed moments.
The side characters we've met get a chance to shine and elevate the story.
Descriptions are vivid without dragging, making this book very easy to visualize.
The pacing was excellent and the tension kept me reading.
This is all technical praise so far, as I really love the author's prose and sense of humor, but this book really knocked it out of the park for resolving a story in a satisying way. I was so worried the whole time about how things would get wrapped up.
I will never get enough of the chapter titles and alien tech god jokes. Bring on the duology.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I'm not crying because it's over, I'm crying because it ended so beautifully. An incredible conclusion to Sky and Raven's story! The sci-fi aspects are handled so well without needing a PhD to understand what's happening. And I was so glad we got more of my favorite "alien tech god" Bast! I was so excited to see he and Amelia are getting their own books because I need more of their snarky banter! If you haven't read this series, grab book one and get reading! If you read the first two, this third one does an amazing job of wrapping it all up in a way that feels organic and realistic. Or as realistic as you can get with aliens. But seriously, such a fun series and I can't wait to read more from this author!

First if I could give more than 5 stars I totally would.
This book has some out of this world powers with the way it pulled me in and I could NOT put it down. The author's writing is just chef's kiss and honestly this ending wrapped up the whole story so beautifully.
Sky and Raven are back and I'm obsessed as always, but ngl our favorite green flag alien with a hint of touch her & ☠️ absolutely stole the show this time. The love they have for each other is unmatched. Bast and Amelia the tension and banter between these two phenomenal. I’m trying so hard not to give spoilers so I’ll just say the slow burn definitely pays off!

***I received this book as an ARC for an honest review***
First I want to start off by saying i had the privilege of reading since book 1 and I still can't get enough.
Every chapter is like an episode of Roswell or Smallville playing in my head I could definitely see this story on a Netflix type platform for sure.
I love the writing so fluent and easy I really enjoyed the humorous jabs all the characters take at each other, and the titles of the chapters had me laughing out loud quiet a bit 😊
Such a great read for anyone really but especially if your into sci fi romance and action i would try this series out.

Starshipped
Starshipped is the third and final book in the It’s Definitely Not Aliens trilogy, and Raven and Sky are back for one last round of absolute extraterrestrial chaos. This series has been such a fun mix of sci-fi adventure, ridiculous situations, romance, and spice!
Raven just wants to help Sky get home and then feeling are caught. I didn't think I would get so invested but this is LITERALLY star crossed lovers!! I also loved we got to see more Amelia and Bast! This has everything I didn't know I NEEDED to wrap up the journey

A big thank you to Elle for sending me the eARC!
First of all... It took me a hot second to come back and write a review so I could process everything. Five Stars. No question.
Rae's journey continues with this third book of the It's Definitely Not Aliens series. It begins right where the second book ends so the stakes are already high. Evil robots from outer space are hunting her, License 16 is hunting her and aliens are well... here. With the help of Sky, Bast, and now her best friend, Amelia, they embark on a mission to contact the Paladians and save the planet. But that would also mean she would have to say goodbye to Sky. Talk about problems...
Rae and Sky are just so adorable. He's so caring and protective and continues to be the green flag we've all grown to love. I won't spoil anything but I loved LOVED their ending. Ahhhh! SOB
The addition of Amelia and her POV in this book was so, so fun. It showed a different side of Rae that made her more endearing as an FMC. She completed the found family dynamic as someone who knows Rae, inside and out and as an equal but opposing character to Bast. Not only that, Amelia also added a WHOLE extra dynamic to Bast, which OMG the tension??? The banter??? Not to mention the kitchen scene, IYKYK. Ugh. I'm SO excited that there's going to be books with the two of them.
Throughout the entire story I found myself reacting between dying of laughter (mostly at Bast and his interactions with Amelia), exclaiming awwwww at the cuteness, kicking my feet, and sobbing. ALL THE FEELS GUYS.
One of the most fun things about reading Elle's books is all the nerdy little references she includes, it's like hunting for little easter eggs in her books. Not to mention the chapter titles, HILARIOUS.
Anyway, I could go on and on ranting and raving about this series. Just do yourself and read it. You'll thank me later.

Arc review...these are my own thoughts and feelings.
Well I can't really believe that the end is here. I hate goodbyes but is this really goodbye???
I have been extremely blessed to be part of this incredible journey right from the start. Meeting and falling for Rae, Sky, Bast and Amelia was such a blast. The slow burn, the snark and sass, the running from killer robots. Every single part was wonderful.
Don't miss out on this incredible series.

I was lucky enough to get this book as a ARC, here is my review
Just like with the first two book I was completely sucked in. I couldn’t put the book down. I absolutely loved all the characters. Sky and Rae had the most amazing chemistry throughout all three books. I loved the ending that Sky and Rae had.
Bast and Amelia with their banter and the tension they had was absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to read more about these two.

Thanks to the author for the advanced copy!!
I loved it! Honestly, this book pulled me out of a reading slump!
It was exactly what I want from a book: a happily-ever-after, but with some genuine drama and a little spice. The stakes felt real without becoming too ridiculous, and the story was exciting without being overly stressful.
I also loved the addition of Amelia’s point of view! I can’t wait to see more of her and Bast!

I'm not ready for it to be over!😭
My favorite out of all 3 books for sure. Elle did an absolute amazing job with this series.
The chemistry between Bast and Amelia is the best. I can't wait for their story.
The snark and humor, the characters, the yearning, the excitement...it all comes together to be my favorite ever sci-fi romcom series!
