The third book in the Juniper Creek series might just be my favorite so far! Maggie and Grace have finally settled into their new home, welcomed by the wonderful Garcia family, but just as happiness seems within reach, their world starts to unravel. Enter their estranged uncle Trent and his wife, suddenly wanting to adopt them!
I was completely invested in Maggie’s story and this book was impossible to put down! It has such beautiful themes of forgiveness, friendship, and faith, reminding us that even when the path seems dark and confusing, God has a plan. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering if Maggie and Grace would get to stay with the Garcias after everything they had endured.
This series is an absolute gem for middle grade readers, sure to spark conversations about belonging, courage, and forgiveness. I can't recommend it highly enough! 🥹💕
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. My review reflects my honest opinion.
Uprooted is an awesome follow-up to Road Home (book 2). Maggie finally finds her place/home but through the process, she learns some hard lessons and has to let faith and trust into her heart. The pace of this book is just right. I was so in to the story I read it all in one day. Maggie's journey is a great one to share with your favorite middle school aged kid and have discussions with them about important things like family, faith, making good choices, etc. I also think that it's a great way for kids who have never gone through something like Maggie, it can help them understand other kids who have. I can't wait to read more stories from Juniper Creek!
