FOUND is the third and final novel in the Arielle Lockley series, however it's the first book by Elle I'm reading. While I'm glad I finally read something by this author, I have to admit I should have listened to my friends' advice and read these books in order. As I'm so behind on my TBR pile and have million stuff going on in my life now, I didn't have the time to start with book #1, or at least #2 (LOST, where you understand who Felicity is, which is VERY important for this book). This could be the reason whyI was slightly confused about the plot and it took me some time to understand who is who in the book.

But before I get to the characters, a bit about the plot. Arielle's fiancee is in hospital in New York and is just out of operation. Arielle is rushing from London totally freaked out (which is natural) and unaware another tragedy will follow. Right after seeing Piers is OK she hears the news Felicity is dead! And this is the part I racked my brains the most, WHO IS FELICITY? If you haven't read 'LOST' you will be slightly lost here (excuse the pun). But to make it easier on all those that might jump into this series like I did, Felicity is Arielle's business partner and a friend. However, there's a bit of mystery as police is investigating Etta (Felicity's goddaughter and a girl Arielle doesn't like much) for Felicity's death. Could it be a murder? A suicide? Why did pass away so suddenly?

Rather generously Felicity leaves her home to Matt, while Etta and Arielle get half of her shop and art gallery (of which no one seems to know) under one condition, they HAVE TO work together and can't sell out their halves in the next three years.

As you see, there's a lot going on in this book. Elle takes us to New York and though I've never been there, she does an amazing job in describing the city that never sleeps. I was immediately transported to one of the most beautiful cities, enjoying the sight and those magnificent buildings. As for the characters, it's obvious Elle Field is a brave author creating such an irritable character as Arielle. She's a bit like Becky Bloomwood (from Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series), obsessed with clothes, fashion and spending money (money she didn't earn, mind you). How are we as readers supposed to like or connect to such a character? To such a woman who calls herself 'kept' as her fiance is paying everything for her? As I could understand from the few bits thrown into the book (which were explained in more detail in the previous books in the series), Arielle has 'advanced' a bit, but still her immature behavior was sometimes irritable as hell! It's obvious Elle Field was focused on showing a transformation in her character, despite the risk of irritating some readers. Arielle certainly changes by the end of the book and gets her happily ever after, and even I warmed up to this little drama queen.

FOUND was definitely an interesting read. It's rather short so you can definitely read it in one go. However, make sure you read the other books in the series for full enjoyment. If you're into chick lit and are a fan of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series, I think you'll enjoy the Arielle Lockley series too.

Every time I say I don't like chick-lit Elle brings out another book and makes me smile. Found brings the Arielle Lockley series to a close with slightly darker tones as Arielle learns that it can't always be glamorous weddings and designer handbags.

Found isn't a standalone and although you could have a good go at following the narrative without having read the previous books and novella, you'd definitely be missing some important details and background character info.

Arielle's entire world has fallen into chaos and she finds herself pulled between London and New York. Piers is in danger and she's lost someone very close to her. She also has to contend with both Etta's and Ob's dramas.

I missed Felicity and hadn't realised how big a part of the series she had become until now. BUT I felt as though she still had a big part to play in the story.

Elle Field is generous with descriptions in her books so it always feels as though London is another wonderful character in itself. This time we get two extra characters with New York playing an important part in the story too. Another important element is the Shopaholic and Sex in the City style fashion details. I may not always know which brand Arielle is referring to *ahem* obsessing about, and many of the fashionista nods may go over my head, but they always make me smile. Arielle has developed hugely throughout the series and although she's still the same girl who likes the nicer things in life, she's learnt not to take things for granted and that there are many more important things.

Oh Ob! I have to admit Ob has always been my favourite character so I really didn't know what to make of certain events - he better be getting a spin-off book sometime soon!? It was nice to see Arielle's story end with a bang, but I'm sure there's room to continue the story with a number of the secondary characters...

"Found" is the third and last book in the series about Arielle Lockley, and I'd recommend you to read the novels in the right order - the characters develop throughout the series and I think to fully understand them - and the story - you just need to know what happened in the past.

Now, I do adore Elle's writing style, her descriptions and the way she perceives the world, her one - liners are sharp and up - to - date if I can say so. My biggest problem is with the characters. Arielle changed - oh my gosh, guys, how she has changed in those three parts! From an empty, interested only in money girl she became a woman with feelings. However, I've missed a depth to her, and in my opinion she still haven't found (Ha! See what I did here?) her path in life - she didn't have any interests, any hobbies and I can't tell what it was that she'd like to do in life. I still didn't see any will in Arielle to earn her own money, she was happy with spending this what Piers has earned, and it bothered me a little, because I can see SO MUCH potential in her - she's nice, she trusts people, she's kind, and this behaviour of hers slightly annoyed me. I also never understood her "relationship" with Etta, Felicity's goddaughter. Arielle was the more down - to - earth and easy - going one here, that's true. I was always trying to justify Etta, especially after reading book #2.5 in the series "B - Side" that was devoted to her. Nonetheless, Etta's attitude towards Arielle didn't change, not at all, and I must honestly say that after Etta using one "Whatever, bitch" too much, without a reason, I'm done with her.

The thread of the investigation after Felicity's death - well, I'm not so sure why it was there. To make Etta even more unlikeable? To add a scene with her old carer at the funeral? There is a lot going on in the book, what with the investigation, the shop and the gallery that Etta and Arielle have inherited from Felicity, under one condition - that they work together for a year, Arielle travelling all the time between UK and New York, taking care of Piers after his very serious operation, but somehow the pace feels rather slow. The parts in New York were possibly my favourite ones in the book, as Elle brilliantly described the place, the sights, the buildings - I can't have enough of this in the books.

I think that "Found" is a great ending to the series, even though it looks like there is some space left for a continuation! It is a smart, humorous and also thought - provoking read and Elle Field's writing and the stories she creates somehow get under your skin. The thing I really liked is the fact that the author wasn't afraid to start the series with the main character being incredibly spoilt and self - obsessed and then turn Arielle from a girl "kept" into girl that found something she was looking for, and that the stories were a great blend of fun, sadness, love and hate and that they were not so straightforward. I'm really looking forward for more from Elle Field!

After reading the first books in the series I have been waiting patiently for 'Found' and I'm delighted to say Elle gave me the ARC hot off the press! I have taken Arielle and all the folks involved in the 'Lockley series' into my heart, these stories are the sort that get under your skin, pull you in and make you care drastically what happens to them.

Life hasn't always been easy to for Arielle and this book starts with her on her way to New York after a call to say her fiance Piers is seriously ill and in hospital .. imagine being on that lengthy flight not knowing if he will survive and each minute feels like hours that can't be sped up. It transpires he has been over-working and his stress levels are extreme and has had surgery for his lung condition. He will need to reduce his work and that causes tension in their relationship.

Anyway .. once she gets to New York she settles into a routine of hospital visiting and dreaming of their impending wedding all while attempting to sort out the businesses and inheritances back in the UK. She is torn between caring for Piers and achieving her own goals. Will the grand wedding ever take place?

The descriptions of the area, neighbourhoods and people is fantastic. It's no secret NY is my favourite place in the world and by reading this I was instantly transported to the sights and smells of the city, instinctively knowing what the author was talking about.

It was lovely to meet up with Etta again the relationship between the two following the demise of Felicity is still extremely tense. There is a change in dynamics between Arielle and her best friend Ob, and she manages to re-connect with Tabitha, all the family/neighbours are included during the story which allows any loose ends to be tied up.

I had a sneaking suspicion what the outcome would be but had a minor blip near the end where I thought it was going off on a different tangent .. just for a second I was willing Arielle to let fate step in. I really liked the introduction of Eve .. she seemed rather mysterious and almost filled the gaping hole left by Felicity.

It's just one summer but so much happens, Arielle is transformed from the 'kept' woman into somebody who finally realises she can be who she wants to be if she puts her mind to it and accepts love and hope into her life. I know Elle has said this is the final book in the series .. but there is so much potential to continue.

Needless to say I loved every minute of it, great entertainment value, plenty of twists and turns and emotions explored. The writing flows smoothly, prepare to be lost in the book and lose sense of time/reality around you. This could be read as a standalone possibly but I strongly recommend reading the others so you can fully enjoy the experience. It has an ending that I personally am happy with but I know I am going to miss Arielle she has become a 'friend'.

Huge thanks to Elle for gifting me this copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

My thoughts:

Now I have to admit I wasn't sure about Arielle back when I first read Kept. However after reading all of the series I ended up feeling as if I knew her personally. Found is the last book in the Arielle Lockley series and I really hoped she would find her happy ending. The only thing I would mention is that I think it would help to read Kept, Lost & B-Side. It just helps to avoid confusion with any of the characters and things that happened in the previous books.

One of my favourite characters apart from Arielle is Ob, he is so likeable and such a good friend to Arielle. Although I have to say all of the characters in Found are well written. By the end of the Arielle Lockley series I felt like I had gotten to know all of them really well.

The prologue is actually one of my favourite parts of the book. It just helped to explain everything that had happened at the beginning of Kept. I had grown to love Piers as a character but it had always niggled a little as to why he acted the way he did right back at the start. It was great to see things from his point of view and to understand his actions.

I loved the descriptions of New York, I have been lucky enough to spend a few days there. Elle's writing took me right back to when I visited, it was lovely to reminisce.

Overall:

I really enjoyed Found, it was a fitting end to the series and even though I was a quite sad to finish the book I was left with a smile!

The Arielle Lockley series of books are smart and witty with some great characters.

Found is definitely one of my favourite books from this year!

Five stars from me!

Found is book #4 in the Arielle Lockley series. previously I have read #2.5, but would advise other readers begin with book #1.
Arielle is now in New York. piers has had major surgery, their wedding is threatened, Felicity has died and left awkward instructions about the future running of a business she shares with Etta.
There's lots going on for Arielle, will Piers recover? Will the wedding go ahead and will her troubles with Etta clear up?

Once again another great book from Elle. I predicted one of the main story plots part way through but still loved to follow the story through. It was a nice easy read to work my way through rather than the "heavy" crime novel I had got from the library.

I suspected something was up with Arielle Lockley (Bramley), and it seems like I turned out to be right. This ended up being a nice light read. I got a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Review first posted on my blog 'A Spoonful of Happy Endings': http://spoonfulofhappyendings.blogspo...

Sometimes your life can change in what seems like just a flash, and that is exactly what happens to Arielle Lockley. When she boards a plane to New York to be with her fiancee Piers, who has unexpectedly ended up in hospital, Arielle has no idea what other news will be waiting for her when she gets there. Stuck between New York, where Piers will need to recover, and her hometown of London, Arielle is forced to make some pretty important decisions about the rest of her life, including a possible career for herself, finally getting married, and working together with the most difficult business partner in the form of Etta. Will Arielle finally find what she has been searching for or does life simply have other things in store for her?

'Found' is the final part of Elle Field's 'Arielle Lockley' series; a series which features the life journey of twenty-something Arielle Lockley over the course of 4 books. In this last and final part, Arielle has just received some terrible news and her life is suddenly turned upside down. With her fiancee Piers stuck in a hospital in New York and the rest of her life not standing still back in London, Arielle is torn between two places and forced to make some pretty big decisions. I think this is probably my most favourite part of the series, because we really get to see how Arielle has grown as a character while also focusing on the other characters we've met along the way such as her parents, her best friend Ob, Felicity, Tabitha, and Etta.

If you decide to pick up this read, I'd like to recommend everyone to start at the beginning of this series. While technically speaking this read could work as a stand-alone (the author does provide some background information), I definitely think it works better if you know all the characters and what they've already been through. Having read the whole series myself, I do have to admit it doesn't feel like an ending; I still have some unanswered questions about what happened to particular characters and what will happen to them in the future. Perhaps Elle Field still has some surprises I store for us, but I have to say it didn't feel like the ending I was expecting. However, overall, 'Found' is an enjoyable and fun read, and once again a promising title by author Elle Field. I've quite enjoyed this series, but have to say I'm really curious to see what else she has in store for us next!

We are back in Arielle Lockley’s world. This is the last book of the series.

Arielle is in a really bad place when the book starts. Her beloved Felicity died, she now has a new business partner in Etta and her fiancée Piers is in the hospital.

They are in New York, which makes things more difficult. Piers is not allowed to fly home for several weeks, so Arielle has to handle everything from there, she is just going back for the funeral. And then there is also a wedding to plan. She is obviously caring for Piers, trying to achieve her dreams, so she basically has a lot to do.

I loved reading about New York. I was there a few months ago and it was fab reading about all the places and I think it’s a good place for Arielle as well. Elle found a great way to include them all in the story and described them beautifully.

Of course Arielle’s friend get their part of the story as well, which is really refreshing. I was also curious to read about what happens now between Etta and Arielle.

I have to be honest: I struggled with the storyline from time to time and some things just weren’t logical to me. I still really enjoyed this story. Elle’s writing is full of excitement and life. Her vivid style makes it really easy to read, it’s like watching a movie.

This book is a great ending to the series and I have to say I really enjoyed the all books!
