A Horrible Night is a collection of short horror stories designed to make you feel uncomfortable. Taking you out of the comfort of your armchair and into a world where serial killers lurk in the darkness just a few steps away and the ghost in your 1930s semi is out to kill your boyfriend. Just as you start to feel safe the carpet will be whipped from under your feet and the icy claws of an ancient monster will catch you mid-fall. Inanimate objects cannot be trusted and death is not the easy way out.
A HORRIBLE NIGHT, a collection of terrifying short stories, is perfect for the Halloween season. These stories are sure to keep you looking over your shoulder while walking home on dark nights. Throughout, India Taylor displays her story-telling genius and her ability to lure the reader into a frightening trap. If you like having the wits scared out of you, I can highly recommend this anthology. Check out 'Dead & Buried.'
A decent collection of horror. Just like most anthologies some were better than others. A couple just ended oddly to me - like Cycle of Blood and Missing. I really am not sure what the significance of the chickens was supposed to be in Missing but was still creepy.
Somewhat Haunted was definitely a different take on a ghost story and was a bit ridiculous but that seemed to bet he point.
Overall an interesting collection and worth a read.
An unusual mix of stories and poems, although, it was a pity some felt unfinished (not counting the taster of a longer story that was part of another book).
However, some good ideas...I liked the one about rebirth.
Overall, this collection could do with editing but it is worth a look.
