Everyone has a bucket list. Every single person on this planet has hopes and dreams, plans, expectations, and undoubtedly amazing aspirations. Some have it hidden in the back of their minds, while others have it pasted on their bathroom mirror, repeating methodically, envisioning their future at every waking moment of the day. Everyone has a bucket list. Do Epic Sh*t will help you achieve your life goals. It's time to learn: 1. the best goal setting techniques 2. how to travel the world on a dime 3. all about the top 25 bucket list goals ... and how you can accomplish them!
I have been looking forward to getting this book and to see what it is all about since I am a member of bucketlist.org.
Anyway Sara does a wonderful job in explaining why we need bucketlists to begin with, where the idea possibly may come from and how to set goals so they can be attainable. The writing is easy to read and understand while given in a straightforward manner. And since of the book's format it won't be hard to not find what you are looking for if you choose to re-check on any of the information.
What interested me was how she broke down the goals we have on bucketlists into their categories, which she then described. From there she gave a story of an experience and then at the end of the chapter she would do a list of 10 goals from that group that readers who are interested may want to add to their own lists. To continue with this theme the end of the book had the Top 25 goals from the website and why you should add them to your own list.
She did an amazing job on helping would-be travelers with a bunch of information but it was all focused on airplane or flying with a bit thrown in for buses. I would have liked to see something about taking the train (that was an interesting experience) or cruise ships, which only a bit was thrown in as the Top 25 for that one.
The other thing was on her saying this should be added to your bucketlist because.... As she had mentioned in the book we are all different and so as result not all of us may want to try even the Top 25 goals even though they may make for a great story. Basically to me it just sounds from her that if you don't travel to at least one foreign country or do one thing extreme then your life won't be as exciting to anyone else.
Still all in all a great book and one to keep around for the adventure-bound....
