Blame and Judgment

Rate this book
There are probably as many reasons to write poetry as there are people who engage in this art. Some poets are artists who bring scenes alive through their words. Others are academics who study structure and refinement. Still others create poems as an emotional release. I count myself amongst the later group. For me, the creation of a poem allows me to work through my issues while giving me a great avenue for insight into where the real problem lies and how I can learn from this experience.

Blame and Judgment is a compilation of my works throughout a self serving period of my life when I was sure that my sadness, anger, and lack of success had everything to do with those around me. I constantly found myself playing the blame game and I took no responsibility for my own part in my circumstances. However, while writing down my feelings in poetry form, I gradually started to let go of my resentment and began to realize that what I said about other people had far more to do with me than them.
