Hotel Ghost is Stephanie Valente's first poetry collection. There is a sense of urgency in the relationship between longing and desire. The poems take turns between different ghosts: the acts of dreaming and lingering.
This chapbook felt like reading a vague poetic retelling of half-remembered myths. I couldn’t discern any connection between any of the poems in the collection beyond this vague feeling, but I didn’t hate it.
