This was a cute and entertaining read...I found myself cracking up at the crazy antics of Evelyn and her friends. Especially the part at the gym with Kate!

The characters were well developed and the story flowed quickly and effortlessly. The only downside I had to the story was that I wanted more from Tate.

I have to admit though that I think my favorite characters in this book were Kate and Jon. I can't wait to read what the author has in store for us next.

What a great astonishing debut by Kacey Shea. This book was a roller coaster of emotions. it had depth, remarkable character chemistry it also was heart warming and I'm not going to lie but this book will be one that I'll probably be talking about for the next couple weeks.

I loved the multiple point of view's usually I'm not a big fan but this book it was made for it, I couldn't read it any other way. You can just connect with each and every character. It was beautifully written with just some minor spelling errors but you wouldn't catch them unless you were really looking for them but other than that you wouldn't even notice that this was a debut novel.

The cover and the blurb really intrigued my interest and I was so excited when the author asked if I wanted an (Advance Readers Copy) I enjoy reading new books (pieces of art, which I would call them) by brand new authors because they usually have different unique storylines which exactly Uncovering Love has.

Let me say this book was so hard to put down after you start it.

I love it when books surprise me. I though this book was going to go one way and it went in a completely different direction. I completely loved it! This was such a cute love story.

Evie loses her job and her BF convinces her to start her own PI business to help people find love. Her other BF, Jon decides to help out and become her partner. The consequences are hilarious. Evie's first client hires her to get info on a potential boyfriend, Tate, which caused Evie to have to join a gym and almost die in the process of work outs. Jon's first client turn out to be crazy.

The only part of the book I didn't like as much was Kate (the BF) and Jon's friendship. There at times seemed to be something more there, then the next day they hated each other. Although book two is about Kate, so maybe the will finally make up!

I enjoyed Evie and Tate and actually hoped to see what would happen with Jon. I liked Evie's confidence in her body and her sass, especially how she was able to weed out the players. This is a fun, flirty book and a great little read. I would have hoped for a little more steaminess written between the couple, but overall, I really liked it.

4 Stars and 4 Thumbs up to my author friend!

The Author was kind enough to provide me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book, where do I even start! I loved it so much I can’t find words to describe my love for all these amazing characters. After losing her job Evelyn and her best-friend Jon who just came back from the Army decide to start their own private investigation firm with the help of their other best-friend Kate of course; what Evelyn doesn't realize is that being a private investigator is harder than she thought and its proven when she starts falling for one of the guys she is supposed to be investigating Tate.

This book was so fun to read! All the characters where so easy to connect with and you couldn't help loving them. I really enjoyed the P-I concept in this book, it made it really interesting and kept me up to the wee hours of the night. I loved the friendship between Kate, Evelyn and Jon you could tell they really cared for each-other and I really loved that even though Jon and Evelyn hadn't seen each other for years as soon as they were back in each other’s life's it was like he had never gone anywhere. Tate oh, the sweetness that is Tate, I immediately fell in love with him he was so sweet, caring and so freaking HOT! I'm honestly hoping for another book where I can read from Evelyn's and his perspective. As much as this book had me laughing between all the craziness going on between Kate, Jon and Evelyn towards the end I was a mess and had my crying face on. I really enjoyed this book and loved that even though it was short the love between Tate and Evelyn wasn't instant it was something that grew as they spent more time together and got to know each-other. I'm so excited to start Uncovering Desire and reading more about Kate!

Flamingo!!

this was the perfect book to get me out of my recent book hangover!

enough humour to keep me giggling along and more than enough mystery to keep me turning the page.

I can't wait to read more from the bunch of characters. I'm off to read book 2 right now.

☆☆only given 4 stars because there is very little sex. usually fine but in this case the small scene we get is hot as hell and I wanted more!☆☆

I really didn't know where this story was going. I didn't read the synopsis, so I had no clue who would end up with whom. I kept waffling between Evie and Jon, Evie and Tate, and Jon and Kate. I couldn't put the book down until I got the answers I needed.

This was another great story by Kacey Shea. I loved her character development and world building. I loved the easy friendships between everyone and the progression of their relationships. The PI aspects were exciting, and I liked how Evie and Jon worked together and used their varying strengths to solve their cases. I loved the easy connection that Evie felt with Tate and how similar they were. And Kate was the perfect best friend in her support and understanding of Evie in all aspects of her life.

"Swoon meter activate."
Oh my goodness! This is just what I needed after reading a book I didn't like. This book is perfect to get you out of your funk! It definitely did for me.I want to say that I was scared to read this book. The size of it made me nervous. Usually a book this size gives me a bang it and quit it relationship.
But I was wrong and I couldn't have been happier.
There's so much humor in this book but not to the point where it's annoying. It had me laughing out loud more than a couple times (my brother noticed lol) and I loved it! I admit, I teared up a couple times too.
I love the concept of this book. It's the first I have read about PI for relationships and I enjoyed every second of it. The characters and back stories were so original and REAL. Kacey has a genuine imagination that is portrayed perfectly through her descriptions. I felt like the characters really did exist.
Don't even get me started with Tate! He had me smiling a lot and the way he was with Evelyn is just adorable. A man with an amazing body and heart is too rare to find. Their relationship is one of my favorites. I want to meet him so bad! I miss him so much.
Evelyn's relationship with her best friend was also another favorite of mine. I believed they loved each other unconditionally and would always be there for each other. I am picky when it comes to fictional best friends and Kacey hit the mark for me.
This book was deliciously unpredictable and the suspense of the plot kept me flipping through the pages until I couldn't keep my eyes open. There wasn't anything I didn't dislike about this beauty! It's different in so many ways that I wish I could tell you but I don't do spoilers.
Buy this book! Can't wait to read Kate's story!

OMG! Wow this was mine blowing! The characters were so relatable! I loved how fast paced it was, I read it within one night. The story was a tie between light and heavy. It was a light easy read, but heavy because each character goes through a rollercoaster of emotions and deep situations!
I loved the whole idea with the two main characters being the opposite gender, but still having a really great relationship as friends, and partners as private investigators!
I also loved how independent the main character was. Many female protagonists, are somewhat weak. And I just loved to see how fierce, independent, and strong Evie was!

The tension between the characters and major issues that took place in Uncovering Love, were really amazing! I absolutely loved how the author took a 360 and included all different kinds of subjects and aspects!

I'll admit.. I even cried a couple of times throughout the novel. I felt so connected to the story and main character Evie, that it actually felt like I was apart of the story.

But the humor just cracked me up!! Gosh I love how the author gives each character a different kind of humor! When reading it, you'll never run out!
The plot, and character development felt so realistic and lively!

Uncovering Love is full of mystery, romance, thrill, happiness, excitement, and love! I'm completely addicted!!

This book is exactly what I needed. A book full of laughs and a little romance. I love how close Evie is to her friends and how loyal she is. She is loyal to her job even if it means giving it up for the love of her life. Evie, with the help of her friends and loss of job decides to put her sleuth skills to work. Her and Jon decide to start up a PI business. She never expected to find the love of her life especially with her first job. Tate, has just moved into town to help his sister out. He is the gorgeous trainer that has all the women talking in town. Evie, gets the job of checking him out...in more ways than one. During this time, Evie falls hook, line and sinker for him. She knows she must tell him the truth but she's afraid of losing him. With the help of friends and family, she does what she has to keep him. It's done in the most sweetest way possible. I loved every minute of it. This is a great book and even if you don't have to, I'd still suggest reading these books in order, so you get the full aspect of the friendship and love all these guys have for each other.

As Jon (what a cutie, hope to see more of him in the future! Hint! Hint) and Evie start a new business together going down as PI's as the new business venture. The subject is Mr. Sexy (I mean Tate) and as the investigation continues so does emotional feelings for Evie and Tate.
I really enjoyed this read and the characters. This is a must read and hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. It's coming soon and hits bookshelves June 30th! This is my first read from this author and definitely will not be the last. Can't wait to see what she has in store for future reads! Happy Reading <3

There was nothing wrong with this book, but sadly it was only okay for me.

Cover - hell yes, hallelujah, God bless. Story - hm, interesting, me likey. Pace and characters - Jesus Christ, shut up and go away.
Evelyn was annoying enough, but even Jonathan was getting on my nerves in a very bad way. Kate was fun, Tate was way too much of a good guy and the best characters were hands down the kids, Eli and Ezra.

Not sure if I should read the next book, since I do want Kate's HEA, I'm sure she'll end up with Jon and I really, really disliked him in this book.

I recieved this book free in exchanged of an honest review... and OMG what a delightful surprise!

By looking to the cover you cannot tell much about the story line but let me tell you there is a sweet, funny and sexy plot going on in this sassy book.

Love the characters and their relations between each other, how the author developed their world. Sexy personal trainner Tate and ex-army best friend Jon, I was not sure who I wanted to be the one true love for Evie and I found myself loving both men.

I really enjoyed Evie and Tate’s sexy and funny banter, they really have that connection that you just want for yourself.

I found myself laughing out loud and loving every minute of this book, I just could not put it down.

When Evie loses her job, she and her best friend Jon start a PI company. The first few jobs put her in crazy situations including one that leads to love.

I really liked Shea's unique writing style, including providing numerous characters' POV and their snarky inner thoughts. She made me laugh, she made me cry, and she made me yell at the character to come clean *now* before things get worse! This was my second time reading Shea, and once again the supporting characters and interaction between the key players made the book. A sweet and fun ride with a few twists from Kacey Shea for a five star experience.

Okay so I went into this knowing that Tate did not have a POV in the book and that Jon did. I had read all the reviews before reading it and I will say that the reviews lead me wrong!
I went into it prepared to be slightly (but not completely) diappointed by the writting and POV.
Oh I was so wrong.
I LOVED it.
Like couldn't put it down, read in-between bites loved it.
This books was PHENOMENAL. Even though I wish that Tate's POV was in there somewhere (for selfish reasons only), I am very glad I saw Jon's side (especially if he is in book 2-which was probably why it was done).
As an author I think I know why the author wrote it this way. The way it was written, with out Tates view, had you suspicious, curious and guessing. It had you right there with Evie, feeling everything she was feeling. You were on your toes with a tummy full of butterflies.
For this reason I am so glad the author wrote it exactly the way she did. It made this books STAND OUT against the sea of contemporary romance.
It was oddly unique but in a oh-so-amazing way that I think took great thought to pull of successfully. Honestly I am blown away.
Why I rated it a 5?-
Now first I'll tell you this- I save 5's for my all time favorites; classics such as Gone With the Wind and Whistle Stop Cafe. For this reason I wanted to give this book 4 stars...however I just couldn't do it.
While struggling with whether to give this book a 4 or 5 I realized, although I did not expect it, this book is now on my Favorite novel list. Yes this book is now one of my favorite books. Here is why...
It was hilarious. I'm talking LOL, had to leave my bedroom so I didn't wake the hubby-funny!
It was unique in a way that had me very interested.
It was sweet and a smooth, a fun easy read but one that had you hooked all the same.
I couldn't put it down.
I felt like I was there with Evie the whole way.
The characters were real and loveable.
The story line was fresh, funny, exciting and yet real.
The POV. Yes I actually liked what the author did here. Like I said, It made me as the reader more eager and curious. I was dying to see Tate because, just like Evie, I didn't know what he was thinking. This made the story feel even more real.
Honestly I can't explain how much I loved this book. If you want to laugh and be excited and a little thrown (in an oh-so-good way) then check this book out.

I received an ARC in return for a honest review. This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. I am patiently waiting for number two in the series. This group of characters are funny, heart warming, and an absolute delight. Evelyn was a delight along with her best friends Kate and Jonathan. Uncovering Love had all the feels of crying, laughing, a little suspense, and of course love.
Uncovering Love is written in multiple pov's (only two)which let's the reader see what is going on with two of the characters at the same time, almost reminded me of watching a television show.
Evelyn is our main protagonist who has just graduated with an MBA, who has a wonderful family and great friends with a job. Evelyn thought she had everything going for her until one day everything changed. In one day Evelyn experienced her sweet and sour that changes things for her and her friends. That one day sends Evelyn on a path of finding something that she did not realize was missing from her life.
This is first in a series. This is NOT a cliffhanger. This is a total HEA.

I enjoyed several parts of this story. I thought Tate was a sweetheart, and very patient when it came to Evie. I was excited to read a book that was about two characters going undercover and was intrigued to see how she would weave the story together. I would have liked to have had Tate’s POV in this book as it was hard for me to connect with everyone when it was more of Jon’s story. I also think that at times Evie seemed to have childish outburst which contradicted with how nice she was throughout most of the book.

I hope to see more of just Jon and Kate in book two and hopefully Jon will have made his mind up since Evie is now off the table. I think Jon has more potential to run the P.I. side of the business and the storyline with his background will flow.

I loved this book! It has so many things going for it...The friendships between the three friends, humor, hot guys, and some suspense. Kacey had me laughing out loud at Evie, Kate and Jon. And Tate was a dream. Evie loses her job at the beginning of the story which leads to her friend hot ex military guy, Jon, moving in to help with the rent. They end up starting a private investigations firm and their first subject to investigate is Tate. Only problem is Evie starts to fall for Tate which is a problem...I don't want to give away the story but I loved it. I laughed, cried and couldn't wait to read the next book. I love the characters Kacey Shea has created and this is a series that you will want to read!

This was a very cute story, I enjoyed the friendships, and the love story that is found. The plot line never fully worked for me. I was taken on a journey that wasn't where I felt I needed to travel. Having Jonathan's POV instead of Tate's didn't work for me, personally. I love a dual POV but being in the head of a secondary character was often keeping me from connecting with the story I wanted to feel for. The idea of the story had a lot of potential but for me didn't hit the mark head on. I will definitely give book two a chance..

This was the cutest book ever! I fell in love with all of these characters! Jon, Evie, and Kate. I loved their friendships and their interactions. I wish I was part of their group. I loved Evie’s good nature. Oh, and Tate?! *fan girl over here* I felt torn throughout the book but Tate definitely won me over as a reader. This book has it all - romance, comedy, friendship, steaminess, and writing that kept me wanting more.

I can’t wait to read on for Kate’s story!

Uncovering Love by Kasey Shea, book 1 in the Uncovering Love series, is a contemporary romance.

This was a fantastic, easy read with great characters, a unique story and lots of fun.

I loved the relationship between Evie, Jon and Kate. The easy friendship and commitment they show to each other is a great quality. I also loved the relationship between Tate and his family. And of course, when Evie and Tate are together. Such a variety of characters and relationships makes for a very interesting read for me.

I smiled a lot throughout this book and loved the sense of humour and quality in the scenes that Kasey describes and imagines.

As this is book 1 in a series, it continues with Uncovering Desire and is an interlocking standalone focusing on Kate. I can't wait to get stuck into this book and learn more about Kate.
