It was all good until I came across the relationship between a highschool student and a university graduate. And the worst part is that the writer (a woman) finds it completely perfect to romanticize this relationship. Like I don’t care how good the guy is, the fact that he saw a teenage girl that was CLEARLY wearing her highschool uniform and asked her out is a major ick for me. Other than that, I enjoyed the story of the rest of the characters.

2.5/ 5 stars on my part. Loved the premise of the book - interconnectedness along the metro - but sadly, this was one of the flattest plots I have ever read. There was just no culmination to the storyline. Everyone is connected to everything but where does that lead us? and the story. Characters had no depth, the humor I think was just very badly translated, you could feel the incongruity of languages which made the whole reading experience very stiff.
Wonderful story. I love the interconnectedness of all the characters. The honest emotions and feelings of each character are so well written and relatable. No matter what country we are from, our human emotions connect us all.
A thoughtful series of linked short stories, a bit like 'Before the Coffee Gets Cold.. Maybe a sit saccharine but I Really enjoyed it. I shall look up his other works.
