To everyone, I’m the Gardener’s artsy daughter with the loud laugh, pretty face, and empty head. No one sees the real me. Some days, I’m not sure I do either. It’s like I’m playing a part… and forgetting where the act ends.
The only person I can talk to is Reece. He’s one of our servants, quiet, brilliant, and determined to make a name for himself. I try to ignore my growing feelings. I have to. I’m an Omega from one of Sabine’s oldest families and he’s a Delta with nothing to his name. The law says any bond between us is forbidden. So does biology.
And if Queen Bee found out, the scandal it’d cause…
My family would disown me.
I have to stay focused this Season. It should be easy to find a mate. Boys have always chased me. But when a masked Alpha shows up at one of the Season’s elaborate parties, I’m convinced I’ve found the one for me. The click between us is instant, but before I can even get his name, he disappears without a trace.
Finding him becomes all I can think about. But when the mask comes off, everything changes. And suddenly, I’m chasing a happily ever after I never saw coming but might’ve been standing in front of me all along.
Marigold is a part of the Omegas in Bloom series. It is a modern Bridgerton retelling based in a contemporary omegaverse world, and it will end with the female main character having only one love interest.
OMEGAS IN BLOOM Violet Iris Marigold Dahlia Rue Heath
I love this series so much! Regency type omegaverse excellence! I loved revisiting this very draconian based society, where we got to see sisters Violet and Iris have their season in previous books, now it's Marigold's turn. And she's dreading it. She is the epitome of decorum, while on the inside, she's shrivelling up, she feels unseen, unheard. Even by her own family, who all expect her to shine, all the time. The only one who really sees her, is her friend Reece. But even friendships are not acceptable between an omega and a delta. For Mari, Reece is forbidden fruit, she wants it desperately but it's a toxic societal no-no. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how things were going to pan out, but, as always, Ms Harper threw me a curve ball of note! She even twisted in a Cinderella vibe, in reverse....so gorgeous!
Reece has it BAD for Mari but it can never be. He makes my heart melt with his love for her, "Who needs the sun when you have Mari?" just sigh....but...she's a coveted omega, he's a very lowly delta, any interaction, never mind attachment, is forbidden by society. I loved his gentle persona, his niceness, his real caring, from before but, getting to know him better, I'm in adoration mode! His brother, Derrick, on the other hand, was vile before and utterly despicable now! Oh my heart was torn apart at his anguish watching Mari being woo'd by alpha's, especially when Luca comes onto the scene. The turmoil Reece and Mari go through pierced my heart, their love so pure yet forbidden. But Ms Harper also made my toes curl with the very tender steamy scenes. Yep, I got the entire enchilada! And I loved it!
I am always captivated by Ms Harper's world and characters, 100% vested in them and I love the perspective she allows me to see, the unique take on each. I giggle at Rue's exuberance, she's a real firecracker, I'm really looking forward to her story. As I am for Heath's, he's got so much stress and anxiety, being the head of the household, barely keeping it together. Mostly, I really love Rue's obsession with Queen Bee, a blogger no one can identify, and hell if I can't wait to find out WHO it is! The dual POV is superb, it embeds itself into me, pulling every emotion possible. Ms Harper paints a vivid picture of a society that frowns upon anyone stepping out of tradition, of a family that loves one another, who support one another despite the odds, of tough FMC's who don't buckle under pressure, a romance so beautiful, it makes my heart flutter. This book, as the previous 2, showcases that change CAN occur, if one is willing to try. As much as I loved the previous 2 books, this one is definitely my favourite, I adored every single sentence!
Marigold by Brooke Harper is a unique blend of Regency inspired elegance, Bridgerton style glamour, and omegaverse romance that completely pulled me in from beginning to end. I don't come across many MF omegaverse stories especially not one with a reverse Cinderella twist so this felt fresh, original, and impossible to put down.
Marigold is an Elite Omega from one of Sabine's oldest families, preparing for her very first heat and mating season. Everyone expects her future to follow tradition, but her heart has other plans. She is kind, intelligent, and far more layered than those around her give her credit for, making her such an easy heroine to root for.
At the heart of the story is her relationship with Reece, a Delta servant who has worked tirelessly alongside his brother since losing their parents at a young age. Reece is brilliant, constantly inventing and repairing things to make life easier around the estate, yet despite all his talents, he remains overlooked by those in power. Watching the quiet friendship between Marigold and Reece evolve into something deeper was my favorite part of the book. Their chemistry is built on years of loyalty, unspoken feelings, and impossible circumstances, making every glance and every stolen moment feel significant. The forbidden romance and slow-burn tension had me completely invested.
Not everyone makes life easy for them. Derrick adds plenty of frustration to Reece's already difficult circumstances, while Daliah and Tristen introduce complications that left me incredibly curious about what's coming next. I have a feeling their story is going to be just as captivating, and I can't wait to see how everything unfolds in the next book.
I also loved getting to spend more time with the Gardeners. They're a warm, loving family who value tradition, and their dynamic added another layer of depth to the story and the world Brooke Harper has created.
If you enjoy forbidden romance, friends to lovers, slow burn longing, Regency inspired worlds with an omegaverse twist, and characters you'll genuinely care about, Marigold is definitely one to add to your TBR.
📌 Voluntarily reviewed. I received no compensation, and these opinions are entirely my own.
If you’re missing Bridgerton and waiting for those new seasons to release, reading a series that has plot elements influenced by Bridgerton might be the next best thing. If you’ve already read Violet & Iris, then dive right in & enjoy Marigold’s story. Those of you new to the series, meet Marigold. Her sisters both had their seasons, met their matches and found happiness so now it’s her turn. However, there’s some underlying grief with Mari. She wishes her dad was present for her season and she wants to meet the right alpha, but she can’t get her mind off of someone else😉 So what happens when she’s announced as the Season’s Luxe?
Reece- Servant to the Gardener home, brother to Derrick, life is pretty lonely. His brother picks on him and has their lives all planned out, but it isn’t what Reece REALLY wants. He dreams of being an inventor and escaping the servant life. He also has his eye and mind on Ms Marigold. He knows he can’t have her, but while he tinkers with projects, serves the household and lets his mind wander, he can dream that she’s his.
Mystery Alpha- New to town (or is he), Mystery Alpha makes his appearance at a ball drawing the attention of all of Sabine. The Omegas fawn over him, the gentleman chat, and when he seeks out Mr. Stockton for a conversation, all seems to be working in his favor. The question is, will it last? Or will his identity be revealed and change everything?
Marigold is my favorite book in the Omegas in Bloom series so far. Brooke Harper delivers a unique blend of modern Regency romance, Bridgerton-inspired glamour, and omegaverse twists that kept me completely invested from beginning to end.
Marigold is kind, intelligent, and far more complex than the people around her believe. Her friendship with Reece is the heart of the story, and watching their relationship grow into something deeper was both emotional and incredibly satisfying. Their chemistry is filled with longing, loyalty, and forbidden romance, making every interaction feel meaningful.
I loved that this wasn't a typical alpha/omega pairing. The omega and delta dynamic brought something new to the genre, while the themes of challenging tradition, breaking societal expectations, and choosing love over status made the story stand out. The Regency-inspired balls, scandals, and family drama added even more charm to the world.
The pacing was excellent, with plenty of emotional moments, humor, romance, and just the right amount of spice. Every twist kept me turning the pages, and the ending delivered a heartfelt, well-earned happily ever after.
Brooke Harper continues to create a world I can't wait to revisit, and I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series!
I voluntarily reviewed "MARIGOLD" given free for honest opinion capturing me from the beginning theirs mystery, secrets, intrigue, scandal, angst, steam keeping you reading. Marigold is an Elite Omaga from one of Sabine's oldest families coming into her first heat mating season she's best friends with Reece who's Delta with nothing to his name works for her family as a servant, he's brilliant inventor wanting to make things better for Omagas, he's loved her for awhile but the law says any between them is forbidden. & so does biology. Marigold knows if the Queen Bee found out it would cause a scandal & her family would disown her, she needs to be focused & find a mate boys have always been attracted to her, meeting a masked Alpha at one of the seasons Galaxy there's an immediate click between them but then he just disappears no trace, finding him might be impossible but when the mask comes off things change, something she chased & never saw coming might've been there all along. Will Marigold & Reece get their HEA so many twists, an Omega on Council can you believe it, there's talk about changes to the laws, you won't be able to put down a must read to see how it all goes down , you so won't be disappointed another hit from Brooke Harper.
I absolutely loved this story and i feel like it's one of my favourite story's so far. With the sweet Marigold who'll have to navigate this season to find a mate. But it's never all that simple. Having to please the Monarch. Her family. Especially Heath who's just as determined to find her a mate. Mari will finds her self torn between the Alfa in the mask who everyone is talking about and her friend Reece who's the most Caring Bata you'll ever meet. He's smart and is handy with his hands. He can fix just about anything. But unfortunately he's a servant to the Gardeners which will make things so mush complicated. Not just that there's the Queen Bee reporting all the latest scandal going around in Sabine. Its full of drama. Suspence and pleanty of heat that will make you swoon. I found my self falling in love with Mari and Reese and i couldn't put it down and found my self gripped from the start. It's full of amazing characters like Rue her little sister who's full of energy and just makes you laugh. Guest appearance from her sisters and her mates who'll help this story along. And at one point I got emotional thinking things wouldn't work out but then you give us the most sweetest ending ever that I just loved and was so glad they got there happily ever ending.
Marigold completely swept me away. I went in expecting a fun modern Regency romance with an omegaverse twist, but I found so much more than that. The world felt fresh and immersive, blending elegant Regency-inspired society with omegaverse dynamics in a way that was creative and surprisingly seamless. Marigold was such an easy heroine to root for. She had a quiet strength that grew with every chapter, and I loved watching her find her voice without losing the kindness that made her so lovable. The romance was full of tension, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of spice. Every interaction felt meaningful, making the emotional payoff incredibly satisfying. What stood out most was how unique the story felt. It's not often I come across a romance that successfully mixes genres while still feeling completely natural, but Brooke Harper pulled it off beautifully. The characters had depth, the relationships were compelling, and I never wanted to put the book down. This is the third book in this amazing series that feels Bridgerton like but in my opinion so much better and well written. I loved Violet and Iris and now Marigold. Dahlia is next and I'm not so patiently waiting!
This is the 3rd book in the series, but it’s the first for me. I haven’t read the first two books, and you don’t really need to read them to understand Marigold's story. It’s definitely a different take on omegaverse, but I like it. You don’t get to read a lot of MF omegaverse, well at least for me I haven’t, and a reverse “Cinderella” one at that.
Marigold and Reece’s story was a sweet one for me. They are good friends even though he’s a poor delta and she's an omega from the rich family he works for. They secretly have feelings for one another but can’t seem to express them. Marigold just wants to continue her art, and Reece is intelligent with his inventions. As the story progresses, so does their love for one another. I love that they beat the norms and still end up with one another at the end to find their HEA.
We get to know more about the Gardeners. They are a loving family even though they follow traditions. I will have to go read the first two books and can’t wait for the rest of the siblings’ books.
I think Marigold is my favorite book in the series so far. Brooke Harper perfectly blends Regency elegance, Bridgerton vibes, and omegaverse romance into a story that felt fresh, especially with its reverse Cinderella twist. Marigold is easy to love, and I really felt for her as she struggled against the expectations placed on her.
The slow-burn, forbidden romance between Mari and Reece completely stole my heart. Their years of friendship, quiet devotion, and impossible circumstances made every moment together feel meaningful, and I couldn't wait to see how they would overcome society's rules. Reece is the definition of a cinnamon-roll hero, and I adored him.
I also loved catching up with the Gardener family, laughed every time Rue appeared, and I'm still desperate to know who Queen Bee is. With heartfelt romance, a richly developed world, and a cast I can't get enough of, this book had me smiling, swooning, and turning pages long past bedtime. Now I just need the next book immediately.
All Marigold wanted was is to be left alone and paint what she sees. How was she to know that the start of the season she would be the Lux. She is very in love with Reece however, but she is an Omega and he is a Beta he would not be able to help her as an Omega. But what if Reece could invent something. When it becomes clear that Marigold has to choose an Apha Reece can not take it and he leaves working for Marigold's family and goes to work at a previous job. However Marigold follows him. Just as it might look like they can work something out she gets a frantic message from Her brother Health there is a major problem and it involves Dahlia. Dahila! No Dahlia is into is her music and she has finally been accepted into a prestige college a first! What could of gone wrong. Why is Derrick always so hard on Reece? This story shows that with love, kindness and strength individuals can overcome stereo type life patterns and change them. Do read this lovely story.
This is the third book in the Omegas in bloom series. This is Marigold’s story and how she fell in love with Reece a delta servant they have. Reece and his brother lost their parents when they were young and have been working ever since to stay a float. Derrick is not very kind to Reece and just makes things difficult for him at times. Reece is extremely smart and can fix and invent things to help around the house. He has been in love with Mari for quite some time and so has Mari. They just never say anything to each other. They eventually realize they love each other and do anything they can to stay together and the Monarch agrees with the mating thank goodness. We find out that poor Heath has been working a lot to be able to pay for everything that the family needs since they lost their father a while back. Daliah and Tristen throw a wrench of their own in this story and hopefully we will see how it transpired in Her upcoming story. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This is the third book in the Omegas in bloom series
Meet Marigold- a very sweet, intelligent annd lovable FMC. She’s also an omega. She loves to paint and just wants to focus on that… Too bad she has to find a mate… This book gave me total Bridgerton vibes in some scenarios. Our sweet Marigold becomes the Lux during this mating season and any match she makes has to be approved by the monarch… too bad our sweet girl is in love with the very very sweet Delta servant in her home… The love is there on both ends but it is very much a slow burn for these two.
Reece is very intelligent. He not only fixes everything around the estate but also invents things to make life easier. He’s overlooked because of his station. Needless to say…. Their love is “doomed” or is it?? Mari still needs an alpha, but she needs one who will accept Reece too!
Read this amazing story to find out about their HEA!!
Another great book added to this series, this time the story of the third Gardener daughter Marigold. In theory Marigold’s season should be straightforward as she’s beautiful, easygoing and looking forward to finding a mate but where would the fun be if it was that easy? No, Omega Marigold rather than falling for one of the Alphas suitors who are literally lining up out the door for her, she falls in love with Delta servant Reece which is a forbidden match both by denomination and class. A fantastic Bridgerton esq story with balls, secrecy, love, scandal and of course a HEA. As always with this series the characters are charming, I love the new characters introduced with this book as well as growing on characters from the previous two books. An easy 5 star for me and can’t wait for the next book in this series.
What a read! The book Marigold was a wonderfully blended Regency-inspired romance with a modern omegaverse twist that created a fresh and engaging story. Marigold is a wonderful heroine with more depth than people give her credit for, and I loved watching her grow throughout the story. Her relationship with Reece between their friendship, chemistry, and forbidden romance made it easy to root for them. The omega/delta pairing was a refreshing change from the usual dynamics, and the themes of challenging expectations and choosing love over status added emotional depth. Between the glamorous parties, family drama, and heartfelt romance, I couldn't put this book down. A sweet, emotional romance with a satisfying ending. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
Another beautifully written Omegas in Bloom book. This book brought us Marigold’s story. Mari is sweet, soft spoken and artistic. Her friendship with Reece was beautiful to watch bloom. Reece is smart and great at fixing things. He’s very helpful to the Gardener family and loves finding odds and ends and building/repairing things.
This Season brings us more drama. Mari is named The Luxe and feels the pressure of all that entails. Here is where the mysterious alpha enters. I enjoyed the little twists and turns while the Gardener women continue to buck the system and push people outside their boundaries. I love that each of these books gives us a complete story while leaving you wanting the next sisters story.
Marigold is part of the Omegas in Bloom Series and combines brigerton vibes with modern regency all tied up in an Omegaverse trope. Like the others in the series this book had me captivated and a really enjoyed getting lost in the Royal inspired parties, the drama and scandals. I have to say the twists and turns had me unable to put this down.
Our FMC Marigold is hard not to fall in love with, her big heart and kindness has people underestimating her throughout. I loved watching the friendship between her and Reece develop, the chemistry was practically palpable. This book had a little of everything from humour to tears, spice and romance and very well written. Il be reading more of this series and from the author.
This has been my favorite book in the series so far. Marigold is so much more than the bubbly, carefree girl everyone thinks she is, and I loved watching people finally see the real her. The slow burn between Marigold and Reece had me hooked. I don't usually love slow burns, but this one was done so well. You could tell they cared about each other long before either of them admitted it, and I was rooting for them the entire time. Reece is just the sweetest, and I wanted these two to get their happy ending so badly.
I also loved getting to catch up with the characters from the previous books. This series is so easy to get invested in, and every new book just makes me love this world even more. Now I need the next one!!!
Brooke gives us Marigold's season in the Omegas In Bloom series! Marigold is the 3rd daughter to have her season but she's torn because of her delta friend Reese who's the only person that she's ever been attracted to. Reese can fix anything but is only a servant of her family, which is even more of a scandal in the making. Reese is trying to invent something to give him money and status to be able to get Marigold. Add in a mysterious alpha and you have another scandal in the making. To find out how they get from here to their hard won HEA, dive into this wonderfully written story with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series! Don't miss out on this book!!
We’re back in Sabine with the Gardners, and this season belongs to Marigold. Mari is anxious about her season and living up to what she believes her family expects of her. More than anything, she just wants to be seen and loved for who she truly is. Her best friend, Reece, is the one person she can confide in, especially about the mysterious man she’s met.
Reece dreams of making something of himself and is determined to do whatever it takes to be worthy of Mari and make her life easier. But can they overcome the traditions and expectations that seem to dictate the course of their lives?
This is a beautifully written story with heartfelt characters, emotional depth, and a twist I didn't see coming. An amazing read that kept me invested from beginning to end.
Harper take on the regency with a modern twist is a fun enchanting book that breaks the rules of regency. Marigold is the luxe the modern regency answer to the belle of the ball/season but she got other things on her mind. As one of the gardners she should be have her the pick of the crop. However her mind is elsewhere and shows that she isn't what society expects. Marigold is wanting more and her story is full of agency and she comes to realise what she wants isn't the norm and how happiness should be the most importance. Marigold's story is one of turns and realising how society expectations should not be the end all. It set ups why the gardners are ones to watch and changes how society should view the designations
This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is fantastic. Marigold and Reece are friends, her a rich Omega who's 1st mating season is upon her, and him a Delta servant. They feel pulled to each other, but with there designations, are not allowed to be together. He's a brilliant inventor who sees a problem before him, the problem being that with his designation, he could never satisfy Marigold during her heat.
This book is full of twists, turns, love, angst, and what happens when a brilliant mind decides to fix the problem that keeps him from the one he loves! I can't wait for Dahlia's story!
Love finds a way Loved this "wrong side of the tracks" meets "high society elite" trope. Friends to lovers, heats with no alpha, forbidden love. Only a few spicy scenes toward the end. The 'ton meets omegaverse.
Marigold is entering her season and is expected to find an alpha mate. The only person she remotely likes is a the delta servant in her house, Reece. Reece has been in love with Marigold forever, but he knows he can't be with her since he's not an alpha. They've got to work through the lies that have gotten between them before they can be together.
Leaves her to love her, she won't let him go. Masked alpha at the ball!
I discovered this Omegaverse series starting with the eldest daughter, Violet, then Iris, and now Marigold! I love how the girl Omegas all have flower names since their last name is Gardener! And Marigold even smells like her flower namesake, especially to her best friend and servant, Reece. His character is very well-done with just the right amount of emotional angst, a brilliant mind, and sociatal deviation! Even the older brother Derrick gets a happily ever after! I would have liked to have seen a bit more about Luca, but maybe he will pop up again later. And this book definitely leaves me questioning how Dahlia, Rue, and Heath are going to finally get thier stories as well!
Marigold is this sweet and beautiful young lady that has her season. The story is not one that I normally read but the blurb of the story drew me in. I have not read the first two books but the way it is written you do not feel like you are missing vital pieces. I will say that in a way it would be better to have read the first two as there are some parts that would be clearer. The story is well written and developed, as per usual for Brook Harper. The ending was sweet and will have a smile on your face. As time moves through the story you find yourself rooting for Mari and Reece to find their HEA. There is of course some drama that adds that extra element to the story. A great read!
“I don’t want or need a mate simply because she can give me babies,” I say as I tug Mari closer. “I don’t need one because it’s what society approves of. I want someone I love. And that’s her… It’s always been her.”
This book! Honestly it had me hooked I just loved everything about it. This is probably my fave of the series so far! But I cannot wait to read Dahlia after the shock we had in this book. I loved the characters, the storyline and the HEA. So happy for Mari and Reece, you could tell they were in love from the get go and they so deserve each other! I’m still so unsure who the queen bee is though!! I cannot wait to find out.
This story starts after Iris ends. Marigold Gardner becomes the next Luxe Omega of the new Season, but she isn't enjoying her time and she meets the Alpha in White and falls in love with him. What she doesn't know is that he is the Delta, Reece. It is forbidden for Delta's and Omegas to be together as then they are not able to reproduce and a Delta can't help when the Omega goes into heat.
Reece found a way around that by building a trinket that will help the Omegas with the paid of their heat. Because of this, they were able to get Infront of the Monarch and plead for her approval to get married. Both Marigold and Reece were able to get their HEA.
Mari and Reece had a sweet friendship that led to more over the years. Mari was about to have her season and potentially mated to an alpha. Reece being a servant and a delta left him feeling inadequate but determined. His goal was to invent a product that would catapult his life. Giving him an opportunity to break barriers amongst the designations and the island.
Reece started working on an invention that would help Mari during her heats so that he could be enough for her. Omegas have been told they need an alpha but Reece will not stop until he can prove that being a delta is enough.
This is the 3rd book in the Omegas in Bloom series. Marigold is chosen as the next Luxe omega of the season. She doesn't want an alpha. She wants to be with Reece. Reece is a delta though and legally cannot marry her. Or have children with her. Here comes a twist. She meets a masked alpa. She is convinced he is the one yet she still longs for her delta. The push and pull will have you on the edge of your seat. It's such a unique ov story. Not your traditional ov story either. That's why I love this series so much . Does Mari get her happily ever after? You'll have to read to find out . You won't regret it.
The third Omegas in Bloom book has Bridgerton vibes. It is Marigold’s season, and she’s trying to get through it without losing herself. She’s falling into a slow-burn romance with her Delta servant, Reece, but everything gets messy when monarch-approved matches and traditional rules interfere. Meanwhile, Reece is subtly brilliant—always fixing things and inventing solutions—but he’s totally overlooked, even though he’s also Marigold’s best friend and the person she trusts when she’s stuck, including when she confides in him about the mystery man she met. The vibe is tense, sweet, and genuinely romantic, and the story ends with a well-deserved HEA payoff.
This is such a cool world and an interesting concept for an OV series. After Violet and Iris, it is Marigold's turn to have a season and find herself a mate, despite her dreading the prospect. Prim and proper on the outside but caged on the inside, feeling unseen by everyone. But there is one person that does see her, her best friend Reece, a delta. But if friendships between omegas and deltas are frowned upon, relationships are completely forbidden, so surely they're not an option for each other? Such a great curve ball solution to what was amounting to be an immensurable problem, this is probably my favourite book of the series so far.
