Lena Foxwood writes cozy why choose omegaverse romance with small town charm, swoony alphas, and the perfect amount of spice.

Her books are full of flirty banter, emotional pack bonds, and feel-good festivals set in towns like Honeyridge Falls. Think cinnamon roll alphas, stubborn omegas, and happily ever afters with heat.

Lena lives in a quiet New England town where the leaves crunch, the coffee’s strong, and love stories practically write themselves.

This was really difficult for me to rate. It started off very strong. I liked the premise. I liked the characters (Hudson was absolutely fantastic). The banter was good. The humor was hitting. The chemistry was working. There were some moments that's were so damn sweet and cute and cozy, and I loved them.

But damn did the writing shoot itself in the foot. There were minor inconsistencies here and there that were not DNF worthy but were annoying enough to take me out of the story. But the worst was the inner dialogues became so repetitive that I was getting vocally annoyed and frustrated. I got it. Her suppressants were failing for half the damn book. She'd been taking the same pill for 6 years. She smells like brown sugar and oat. I KNOW. YOU WONT LET ME FORGET. By the 85% mark I started skimming a bit because I just couldn't take it anymore. This started as a 4.5⭐ read for me but kept dropping the more I got frustrated.

Was a four, ended as a three. Too much repetition and too many inconsistencies

I am not really sure what i read. It started off great. Was loving the characters and the plot. While things may not objectively be perfect, I had no complaints with the writing. 5 star vibes and was ready to check if there was a physical copy for my shelves.

And then it just kind of unraveled. Very badly. Now I am so confused on what to feel or how to rate the book. Kind of ended with 2 star vibes for whiny, repetitive, in denial but cannot stop pretending it is fake inner monologs.

The whole "this is real for me but i am going to pretend that i am just pretending" nonsense went on way too long. I loathe the miscommunication/not bothering to communicate at all trope. Loathe it. So for it to still be happening % through the book and only ending because made reading the latter half of this book extremely frustrating to read. Worse, it made me dislike the characters I had grown to like because the kids in her class are more mature than the 4 of them. Combined. Please, characters, just talk to each other.

Either AI wrote this, or the writer hit their head halfway through and only remembered a few sentences from the English language.

‘Do the math’
‘Ignore his forearms’
‘Take another Suppressant pill’
‘In a few weeks’

It was tough to get through by the end. I didn’t even care that they finally got together, I just wanted it to be done.

I don't typically reach for fake dating tropes as I don't care for the storylines normally. But this one felt different when I read about it. I am happy I picked it up. I loved all three of her alpha's, their growing connection, the steam. I liked that her heat didn't last for a good chunk of the book. So many Omegaverses think that's the most important part and just do too much. However, the writing at points took me out of the story. Inconsistencies happened quite often and a lot of repetition of the same lines. It didn't stop me from finishing it but at points felt like either some of it was written by AI or the author just couldn't think of other phrases to use. Still rated it highly because I loved the characters and most aspects of the book.

2.5 rounded up; every 3 star review on this book is spot on: so many little inconsistencies & sooo repetitive. what bothered me the most was that the writing was incredibly dramatized, i hate to say it because I’ve read every single one of lena’s books, but this seemed like AI. every sentence was either really short & blunt or reallly long. sometimes whole paragraphs were just one super long run-on sentence - and they didn’t say anything! none of the 1000+ analogies made any sense at all either.
however, spelling, grammar and general plot were all good and i did finish the book.

Cute

Let me turn off by saying the book was cute Genuinely enjoyed reading it. It’s a cozy omega verse no drama and just makes you feel good reading it. The only thing that bothered me was that the writing felt like Lorelei Gilmore was talking. I don’t know if it’s how I was reading it, but it was a lot of words coming at me and all of their thoughts were so vast with the amount of words they were using to explain their thoughts. It’s the only way I know how to describe it. It was a bit offputting at the beginning, but I kinda got used to it and ended up finishing the book.

This was a cute read. The individual relationships between FMC and each MMC were written incredibly well. They all had great cinnection and chemistry and it was cool to see the relationships develop. I wish we got to see more of the whole group interacting together. I wish they all communicated better about how they were feeling so that things didnt drag on. The hinting at her heat getting more unbearable was a bit repetitive too. The ending felt a bit abrupt after all the build up of do they actually all love each other.

Cozy Cozy Cozy

There’s nothing like a feel good story.

Tropes

- Fake Dating
- Slow Burn
- Omegaverse
- Why Choose
- Small Town

A super cute romance with very low stakes. Everyone is cute, everyone is charming, and everyone gets a happy ending. Sometimes it’s nice to read something where the stakes are low and the worst thing that could happen is severe embarrassment. Low spice but well written I’m definitely going to read the rest of the series when it comes out.

Another Awesome Omegaverse Romance!

Josie starts out building a face pack for a reunion. Finn, Hudson and Logan all like her but no one has ever expressed or spoken about it. She sets to tone and has a list with charts she created. Fake dating to show her mom she is off the market. Turns out Finns mom has similar enjoyment meddling as does Josie’s. It definitely is funny and has several places where I was like really?! Such a good story!

If you love a sweet omegaverse story

This one was so good. I love a good story where the characters have some depth and emotional struggle while also being able to resolve it. I cant wait to read the next one.

sweet read

This was a cute easy read, not a lot of angst for an omegaverse but a nice story line and likeable characters.

I really liked the beginning of it, the characters are great, but the amount of repetitive thoughts for every character got old.
