Firstly, love the cover. It has a Superman acetate cover over a Daily Planet cover. Looks great. The story itself is ok, though not up there with Louise Simonson’s best.

Save the Planet works on 2 levels, one being Superman dealing with serious meteor showers that threaten the Earth, the other being The Daily Planet newspaper being taken over and closed down by Lex Luther. Both stories run side by side through the issue.
It’s all nice enough, just lacks a little something to make it stand out.
For Superman completists like me.
