A beautiful story about a woman being loved properly, out loud yet gently is always top tier. This is exactly what you get reading Baby. After kissing the biggest frog in the pond GOD sends her Harlem, a grown man with a past that pulled himself up and began building and securing his future and legacy through his businesses. Talk about the definition of perseverance after trying times and you’ll get Harlem or Baby. They didn’t wallow in their hurt or lies being told on them they flipped the script and focused on building their brands. Baby was working on her dream job. Harlem saw Tegan stepped in where he could and applied pressure to give her a soft life and simply love her beyond what she could’ve ever dreamt. She in turn did the same for him. It was hard for her at first because of her past but she soon realized all men aren’t the same, and she was deserving and worthy of being somebody’s sweet lady and baby.
Harlem didn't waste any time meeting Baby after she decides to open a bakery near his barbershop. After interacting with her, he realizes that she is the one for him. I loved everything about Harlem and Baby's story. Even though at first Baby was holding on to hurt from her previous relationship, she gave Harlem a chance. She had to learn that she deserved everything that Harlem was showing her. I also loved how Harlem showed Baby how he felt about her as he was very intentional with showing her his love. Harlem showered Baby with his protection, support, his love language of giving as well as showing her that he was her soulmate. I enjoyed their strong connection and their passionate nature. They couldn't keep their hands off of each other at any time or any place. 😂 The author wrote the h3ll out of this book, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I knew Baby and Harlem were soulmates just off them having the same weird coffee order. When their paths crossed at a coffee shop, Harlem made sure their paths continued to cross in his effort to be the welcome committee to the community where their business was located. It was cute watching these two bond and vibe. Their love came quick but I enjoyed their journey to happily ever after. The way they loved and supported each other and had so much in common was amazing. I also loved the gifts they gave each other. They were not only thoughtful but meaningful and showed how much they listened to each other or how in tune with each other they were. Harlem definitely ushered Baby into her soft girl era and showed her that she deserved love, support and protection in all that she did.
This is a love story with NO DRAMA. Just 2 people that met and took their time getting to know each other. We love an intentional man. Harlem was big steppin behind Baby. Now listen, I got pissed off when we got everything except the wedding and honey moon. Like real deal mad about that LOL! I feel like the entire story was building for the wedding and all we got was a flash forward 10 with 2 month already into the marriage. Dear authors…… STOP DOING THAT! Anyway, after reading so much bang, bang, shoot em up, drama and trauma this is a wonderful pallet cleanser.
When I say I loved their story, I absolutely loved their story!!
This isn’t your typical finding love after a failed relationship book. Yes, Baby had been taken advantage of by her ex but it’s more of a finding love after hitting rock bottom in their careers and rebuilding their careers and life back up.
It is definitely a when you know you know type of romance, cause Harlem knew!! And watching everything they did for each other and the community as their love grew!!!
Go ahead and add this book to your TBR, you will not be disappointed!!
This is the sweet romance I needed because Harlem brought the pressyre like he said and broke down the barriers of my girl Baby.
It was giving, "Ladies if he doesn't come for you like Harlem did, then he is not your forever." Everyone got checked, money was spent, dreams were fulfilled, community was present, and orgasms were had.
Let me open up something so the "welcome committee" can welcome me.
Baaaaby, she was that girl and Harlem was that man. He made his intentions known on their first coffee/breakfast date and didn't let up. He definitely walked his talk and was protective of his sweetheart. He didn't play about what was his! Loved how supportive each was of the other's hopes and dreams!
They were easy peace, love, commitment, loyalty, and happiness. A warm, cozy, feel-good read.
Yesssss Ms. Egypt! Harlem was such a dream book bae! The way he pursued Baby from the beginning. The way he cared for her and showed up for her every single time. The way Baby was able to be soft with him. The way Harlem let Baby love him back and in turn made sure she was able to live a soft life while still maintaining her independence. The way he put her through the mattress! The way they were all about their community and giving back. I don't have a single bad word to say about this book!
This was a very sweet story. Harlem and Baby were definitely meant to be. As Egypt stated, "They were kindred spirits whose love was an easy kind of love, built on the commonalities of overcoming, community, and the legacy of their grandparents. Together, they were able to find love and happiness."
Good stories that pull your heartstrings as always good in my book.
Baby and Harlem were the perfect fit. Following their journey to a deep love and a life long partnership made me feel great. I smiled while reading their story. Looking forward to reading more stories by this author!
Baby and Harlem were unproblematic. If you are looking for a book with minimal drama, some spice, and lots of declarations of love then you are in the right place. This was definitely a pallet cleanser and got me out of my reading slump.
This was an excellent love story. Faith help this couple conquer all things that was put in front of them. Baby and Harlem was a couple that God had chosen. This couple were helpers of others. Thanks for giving us faith in love.
Baby and Harlem are not looking for love but it finds them. They meet by chance at a coffee shop when they order the same non traditional order. Harlem asks Baby out but she tells him she’s not looking for a man. Her declaration means little she and Harlem are drawn together. Harlem and Baby love each other openly and honestly. They shower each other with love and they become inseparable. I loved their story and the dedication to others.
I love Harlem and Baby’s journey….from the moment they met to being married to getting pregnant, I love it all! Their love was warm and easy, oh they were definitely soulmates!
The story had an abundance of reclining acts in the story. I can't remember much else about the story. I think it was pretty good if that's your cup of tea.
I loved this book !!! The way he showed out for her and protected her !! He showes her t hat this is how a real man is suppose to be. I definitely recommend rhis book
This was the story of a woman finally being loved the way she deserved after spending years with an ain’t-sh*t man. Baby was understandably hesitant at first, but it didn’t take long to realize that Harlem wasn’t playing about her. From the very beginning, he made it clear she was his priority.
This book gave me everything I wanted, lots of love, feet-kicking romance, sweet moments, and a man who knew exactly how to treat his woman.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 ⭐️ is because Baby said, “What did I do to deserve you?” a few too many times. Sis…you’re THAT girl! Don’t ever forget it. You deserved every bit of that love.
Overall, this was a heartwarming romance with plenty of swoon-worthy moments that left me smiling.
Baby and Harlem were just that couple. Neither looking for love, yet finding it with each other. Perfect unproblematic, building together and helping others! Happy Reading Y'all!💋
